Thread: More Mass Needed For Certain Ships

You're right. That was uncalled for, and I apologize.

That said, The Belb, jsf and vaksai already have a ridiculous amount of mass. Check out the pilot FAQ stickied on the board for the stats on all the different ships of all factions. These ROTW ships pretty much outperform all others across the board already, and you want more?? C'mon man, you can't have everything.

Again, I need to apologize for what I said, that really isn't me. I've spent a lot of time trying to turn ships with half the mass into effective fighting machines, and I took your post as yet another Jedi whiner looking for his "Win" button. Can you forgive me?

They say cows and kids carry the most diseases. That's why I'll never again eat either one raw.

It's cool. Apologies accepted. Everyone can sometimes get ticked off easily. NP.
I don't have much experience in space and never PvP in space so I wasn't aware of any unbalances (All I do is PVE really). I will have to try and find new parts to equip my ship

Orim came in with his/her opinion on what would be nice and was asking what others thought of it and has responded well to posts disagreeing. Didn't start with flames or telling everyone they are wrong for disagreeing with that opinion. Would be nice if everyone could post like that.

i said what i said and i mean it.. he came in and bad mouthed vet pilots. so no i dont care what is opinion is .. he has all rights to one but mine is that he read the faq master the prof then become a master pilot(something that you gain far after the badge) then he can say what ever he wants to anyone... i dont care to see a new pilot come in here talking like he knows how things SHOULD be to us my opinion you dont have to like it i dont have to like yours.

Point me to where I was bad mouthed to other pilots (before they insult me). You can't so that is a false claim. Also I don't have to be n uber pilot who knows it all before I can or allowed to post here. Your contribution to this thread has been non excisting so please leave. Only takes forum space and negative energy. C ya!
Any tips on the other hand of vette pilots are appreciated.

I didn't see him bad mouth any vet pilots and seeming he asked for others opinions if they agreed or disagreed I don't think he was telling us how things should be done. I also never said you had to like his opinion, my opinion or anyone elses but you aren't just stating your opinion, you are being rude because you dislike his opinion whichis what dislike about your responces not your opinion on mass.

Hi
Wouldn't it be nice if quest based and looted ships are actually usefull.
The Heavy X and JSF have a good mass but the ARC 170 (125K Mass) and Belbullab 22 (90K Mass)
are just pathetic.
IMO these ships should be tweaked (red. give them more mass) so you can equip them properly.
Who else agrees or disagrees with this?

Erm. You must be joking right? If you saw my A-wing you'd freak. I probably have more crammed within that 66k mass than you could manage with 120k mass. The long and short of it is..you're wrong. If anything, the Belb,JSF and Heavy x-wing need a mass REDUCTION. What are you talking about anyway? The JSF and GSF bothhave identical mass...

As I said though, take a look at my A-wing and in fact other people's ships. My advice is to do some research and learn the game before makign ridiculous posts like this.

I wouldn't be so strong with my view on this one, but it is obvious you havn't even tried ingame or looked around yet.

However...since I'm not totally evil. Honest I'm not, you can easily make 90k mass work without much effort. Try a mk IV crafted engine, mkIV shield, two lvl 7 crafted guns, lvl 2 capacitor, mk I reactor, a chaff launcher and whatever armour you can squeeze on. A booster too if it fits. I admit I'm not too hot on the knowledge for crafted parts becaue it is mostly too mid-range for the mass I am workign with wth my A-wings (believe it or not, I have another A-wing project on the go) but for your itnent of flying around, having fun and shooting stuff the above mentioned gear should be fine and is easily repleaceable. As a ehad up though, I wouldn't pvp with that loadout.

Im fimrly in the camp that thinks they need their mass and other stats reducing. why?

before RoW i always felt space PvE was to easy anyway. Very rarely did i ever get myself into a situation where i really thought *()%$%$ i might die here. With the really good re'd parts around and the quality of ships even taking on large groups of tier 5's wasnt that hard. Doing the tier 4 duty missions was a sinch and doing anything else was easy too.

But at least people had their own play styles so there was a wide spread of ships around.

Now with these fighters its completely tipped things out of balance. they have more mass than current technology ships despite being older. they have better movement stats than current technology ships despite being older. and they just make it to dang easy. Now theres not even the sniff of a challenge when flying one of the RoW ships. which i think is a shame.

Plus now most people are all flying the same thing which makes space look horribly bland.

To clarify things: Reading all replies it's obvious I was wrong. I already said that I would look into it and try to equip my ship within the mass limits. Please stop flaming and stop pointing out how stupid I am I have difficulties with this. I try my best to keep this thread constructive and maybe learn a few things here and there
