Thread: So is the JSF unbalanced, or is it just me?

Well put Hayln. I coulnd't agree more. Everyone should experience the original ships too. Those are the ones that will help you build more skill, than just the raw abillity to flipa u turn faster than the other guy. Should they get a change... yeah... will they.. more than likely not as enough of the no skill pilots would probably complain. Live with it. Get together a hawt JTL ship and go pwn the JSF pilots that have 0 skill (just watch out for the ones that have skillz lol)

Im so used to flying them, I dont think ill ever get used to the hypermanuverbale ones... I absolutely hate the bellubab... the cockpit view is terrible (I like cockpit view
leave me alone), and it darting around everywhere was killing me... I do like the TIE bomber though. nice cockpit view....
Yay! Another pilot who flies with the cockpit on!

Yay! Another pilot who flies with the cockpit on!That was one reason I only flew the Belbullab once before parking it. At least the Actis had decent visibility--the Belbullab has to be as bad as the Y-wing.
I'd put the Bel more in the category of the Rhix than the Y-Wing. Not that it usually matters much to me, as I fly in third person view. Too disturbing to me to look down and NOT see myself in the seat.

I guess I should be very careful of my wording here. I love my JSF to death, but since I got it, my skills seem to be twice what they were. There are missions I could have never taken before, that I can fly now, and not blink. Is it just experience, or is the ship that good? I don't know. I mean, I am flying Kessel against tier 5's and solo them like they were level one's.

What you have found is that in the Kessel and Deep space the JSF's smaller hit box will let you get in a swarm of lasers and with a little dodging... come out alive. The turning and the 2 guns and the weight are nice but the smaller hit box is what saves your butt when you are out numbered 20 to 1.
LOL as a IMP.
the weight only helps the IMPs because the rebs and of course the freelancers already have ships way better in the weight division.
As for turning , that is something fixed but the "VETS" and there pre-nerf engines.
Why can someone use a 400 lb droid interface with 13 sec and re engineered gear to lower the weight of their componts and be L33T but if you get a JSF and use it .... you are a lame punk a$$ ?
Everyone can get a JSF , not everyone can get pre-nerf ship parts.
Judge not ... Least you too be Judged !
/sign what you don't understand with the rebels and freelancers theres a give and take that comes with that mass, a large hit box, or in the case of a small hit box small mass. When I say small mass 90k is not a little mass, it is a lot of mass. The 65k of the advanced and awing are both moderate mass.
As for the prenerf equipment, you are way off base. Not many pilots use their Prenerf "Inferno" as they get the same or better and way better turning from a level 8 engine, those level 6s are few and far between now a days. I infact have one, but I do not use as I have better equipment.
As for the Prenerf DI, they are only good for setting up the encounter, if you are relying on your DI to save your butt, then you really need to change your tatics.

the JSF/Bel-22 are unbalanced, but not overpowered (least that's my view).
Explain, my dear Higglepoop.
I r intruiged.
Well they're unbalanced because of the mass/hitbox/gunpoint issue, but that still doesn't mean a JSF can't be owned by a decent pilot in any original ship. If they were overpowered they'd simply dominate everything, which, they don't.

Everyone can get a JSF , not everyone can get pre-nerf ship parts. You dont need them, and the only prenerfs that awre worth using are DIs, WOW you save 2000 mass!
Judge not ... Least you too be Judged !
You can get 1k mass crafted DI's with 20 speed, the 5 seconds don't make much difference in a dog fight, if you know what you're doing you should be getting hit more than once in 20 seconds, otherwise not even a pre-nerf will save you.
I posted a new thread in the SW forums about what I wish our ships were like.... head over there and flame away.
It basically fits with this topic.
