Space needs to be part of the GCW if we want more participation in space.

Huge fleet battles would be fun, yes, but I beleive a full crew for a Vette would be ATLEAST 20, and we'd somehow have to work around our eight group member limit. Maybe Space Commander would allow the person w/ Space Commander as a prof. to start larger groups, or crews. I say screw Vettes and just let us use Gunboats. Make them rewards for near-DWB level dungeons.

It's not fair to make space content drop on ground. Also, what good is new content if it is sooooo limited?

I agree, the people that would get the most out of capital ships, aren't going to be the type to spend hours in the dwb. I do like the idea of using Skill Points forcommander though.

I just hope they don't make the pilot's job as dull as other POBs, unless I can get a MasterChauffeur jacket.
I'll have to figure out how to get a friend a vette, then I can call dibs on gun 5.

Large ships will be a dime a dozen, AT FIRST, then like all things in space will quickly dieout as the novelty wears off and the requirements of a crew get to much for the non-devoted. No dificulty needed aside from the shipwright having to collect the resorces to make the star destroyer/vette. Quit the elitest attitude and let everyone have equal fun.

What I meant was something that had the space-equivalent of the DWB's difficulty. I didn't mean making it a ground-based sorta thing. It would be TOTALLY in space, if it works better than putting parts of it on the ground. If need be, we could just make the components EXTREMELY rare loot, and each component would be dropped by a different type of ship. I hoped that cleared my idea up.

LMAO Now woulnd't that be something?! And just think, you actually had to "work" hard to get get it through ingenuity instead of mindless grinding of Mob A to Mob B....

honestly I'm not sure why they're even messing with capital ships right now, every single aspect of the game besides Jedi is hurting. Server populations are low. Vendors are never restocked. Sure you have 15-20 people in MO or Theed at any given time, but at least half of them are AFK 24/7.

They (SOE) seems to be going blithely ahead with their plans without really looking at what's going on and trying to deal with it. I'm thinking the next time they pull their heads out of the sand it'll be time for them to get new jobs.

I caught a glimpse of EQ 2's patch notes. Man, their dev team rocks compared to SW:G's, it's almost like SOE WANTS the game to fail, maybe so they can buy it cheap from Lucas Arts. heh.

Look :

POB ships failed because they are rubbish. And that's going to be the decider on how many capital ships we see around too.

Can it satnd up to [it's crew size] of top line fighters?. If so they then may well become popular. If not , then they will simply be showitems. Brought out once or twice after aquisition.

The requirements to get one are largely irrelevant, yes difficult things take longer - but that dosent stop people. Just look at all the Jedi.

Ahazi is still the second largest after Bria, and the vendors are restocked quite often here.
