Ok, I see your point Treena. However, my question is "Do FS vehicle control mods apply to the space game?". If the answer is no, then I rest my case and agree that the space game should, as a whole, remain parted from the Force Sensitive Issue. However, if the skill mods do apply, then that is only further reason for me to encourage a change in the system. Thanks.

In space, everything is even. Giving Jedi the ability to have an advantage over other players, even a small one, makes things uneven. Space PvP is very dear to the pilot community, and giving Jedi any sort of advantage ruins that. If Jedi want to compete, they have to do it like everyone else.

I understand the passion for the space game, believe me. My issue isn't with Jedi though, forgive the distinction, but with the Force Sensitivity skills. I do not consider them the same and feel that anyone, pilot or not, who puts the time into getting a skill mod that applies to their character, deserves a reward. This wouldallow people currently in space the same license to get those skill mods and stay competitive or go without and show their superiority in the face of adversity. It's no different then using an inferior starship against a superior one. This isn't a crutch for weak players, it is a challenge for advanced players. If you can smoke someone in a ship with the mods, you can smoke them without them. If you can't, get better, get a better ship/gear, or get the mods. You already have two of those options now, why not add the third?

It's a slippery slope. If we start saying "That idea isn't so bad", it leads to other things. FS conversion, Jedi powers in space, space centered Jedi professions. It's a mess. The best thing to do in this situation is to just not take the first step.

I'm clicky challenged, but the thread below from Pilot forum outlines how other pilots and I have lost ships from our datapads:

ATTN: CORRESPONDENTI would like to address an issue I think a number of players would agree with me about. I feel that Space Combat Experience should be able to convert over to Force Sensitive Reflexes experience and that alone. I DO NOT approve of the idea of allowing it to convert into Force Sensitive Combat Experience. First, I feel that a great number of pilots would enjoy the synergy of the Vehicle Control Tree and its effects on their in-space capabilities. I also feel that this conversion makes sense in a roleplaying fashion. Reflexes and dexterity are neccessary attributes for successful pilots and it seems reasonable to reward the hard work those pilots put in with FS experience. I know some of the concerns with this revolve around pilot being a "Free" class, but why not alleviate that by making Pilot either comparable to a Force Sensitive Line (1 point per box), making Pilot comparable to a Novice Profession, or Just make the conversion ratio really low (Say 50+ to 1) from Space Combat XP to Force Sensitive Reflexes XP? My personal template in game is a master artisan, master shipwright, master merchant. I enjoy interacting on the ground, but for the most part have grown bored with the "Grind" there. I am certainly not alone in that aspect and don't feel that any of my recommendations would unhinge the balance of play. The actual numbers would of course have to be tested first, but the obvious benefit to many players would increase the popularity of many ground based and certainly all of the space based professions. I also feel that any offsets of personal cost (Skill Points for Pilot) would be outweighed by a new option for players to further their Force Sensitive experience in game. Lastly, look at the movies. Many of the most capable Jedi (and debateable Force Sensitives) were also extremely skilled pilots. The recommendations that I have put forth seem to reasonably fit the spirit of the genre. Feel free to comment on these ideas, I am CCing this post to the Force Sensitive Forum and possibly others. Thankyou for your time and consideration.Galvronos Redscale,Ahazi Galaxy
Whilst your at it, why not let bounty hunters hunt Jedi in space? Space and ground are not linked, on release SOE said FS skills will not effect JTL. If they start doing that then really they should give bounty hunters "first shot" in space too shouldn't they?
I mean... Fair is fair.
If you can get to padawan a little quicker via space XP to fill a tree, and I'm sure the players would take advantage of this! There'll be nothing but more post moaning about the Jedi population.
If your post was about shipwright XP getting converted (which as I understand it - you can't can you?) then I'd be in agreement with you, all those resources used and had capped XP for so long is kind of a dead end job really isn't it?
Sorry, didn't see page 10 on forums. But my point still stands.

No, you can't. Which means that Shipwrights have to take up Novice Archetect (or some other crafting profession) to grind through any FS crafting skills we may want to use.

That does suck.
At least give shipwrights the ability to convert to FS XP.
OR... Remove the skill point use for shipwright if it is going to remain excluded from the FRS, like the pilot professions.
Think all the dedicated Shipwrights in game deserve at least one of the above.
Yes I'm a Shipwright, I have it for reverse engineering, rarely craft TBH I respec'd from Tailor and I'm pretty certain that I don't even have the SW XP that would have got me to Master yet! On that toon I have no intentions of becomming FS (Its an unlock)
So for me option 2 would be nice

>>>>>>The quest to get the Y-8 mining ship is buggged as u all know, and its bugged ont the escort mission. Im not sure how many escort missions there are total in the entire quest but i know its the first one(the mission after u get three types of asteriod from dant, endor, and dathomir).
U can get the quest in ur journal but when u launch into space, into kashyyk system, theres no waypoint updating, theres no way to make one, the waypoint info is invalid. I have tried hyperspacing out and comming back in, i have tried re-logging, ive tried going to different [planets and landing then going back. so there a problem with the waypoint and the activation with the spawn. Thats how i take it.
Please fix the bug, thank u
