Manna--

The developers made a deliberate decision at the beginning of the Jump to Lightspeed design process, a year and a half ago, that the JtL/Space game would be completely separate from the Ground game, with the sole exception of the Shipwright profession.

Despite the *frequent* calls for Jedi skill in space from late JtL Beta onwards, the developers have not and will not budge from this position.

Had you searched the boards, you would have known this before making your original post.

Incidentally, I too have a Jedi character who is a pilot. I do *not* want Jedi skills in space, because I know that if that happens, Jedi XP loss will surely follow. And in JtL, PvP is brutally fast. One shot, one kill kind of fast. By the time you notice a Bounty Hunter shooting you, you'll already be looking at your ship exploding on the screen.

Further, there aren't any skill mods that Jedi skills can effect, really. "Missile Launching skill" is perhaps the only one that can be modified, and losing 300k+ Jedi XP each time I die in space is *not* worth the minimal addition wewould get.

This just isn't going to happen.

I'm glad it won't too.

Wow, a literate post that although I don't agree with all of it, isn't defending the Pilot profession with ignorant defensiveness..

Anyone that has played for any amount of time knows that anything the Devs have said can andwill be changed so there is no line that can't be crossed as far as I am concerned.

Btw, I agree with XP loss in space...whatever a jedi can use in space is open game.

In case you missed the memo, THIS IS A STAR WARS GAME

Fixed.

Jedi should be able to use force skills in space. Just as they did in every single movie, book, comic, etc. related to the Star Wars Universe.

I hate to break it to ya, but the skills jedi used in space involved foresight and reflex enhancement. so unless YOU THE PERSON have the force, tough luck.

Me neither. But I did see Luke (at Ben's urging) use the Vehicle Control branch, the Ranged Accuracy branch, and the Luck branch all at once when he blew the pi$s out of the Death Star. It was right at the end of ANH in case you missed it

That does'nt say he used Force Lightning or something, it means he has better reflexes than normal people. How do you expect that to help you? Do you want a big red popup to scream "HEY YOU! LASERS INCOMING!" at you?

No, that just shows that the Jedi reliance on the force is nothing compared to the skill shown by the brave pilots of the Rebellion, Empire, and Freelancing pilots alike.

If Jedi were to get some kind of YPR-acceleration modifier in space, don't forget, you'd be able to get a better one from actually learning to bloody fly.

But you're a Farstar Jedi, so say something silly and I do my fashion police bit on you.
