the only thing i can see of jedi being connected to space is the FS line of crafting experimentation being used by a imcomplete template jedi to experiment on some type of ship equipment

(and we all know that will never happen, you have to be level 80 to survive as a jedi)

Not trolling, I have never posted on this forum and if a Dev/CSR wants to look at my pilot skills they will see that I am very low.

Why should you have a special crutch in space? I have no interest in becoming a jedi, and you complain that the jedi have no special advantage in space? Why should I be at a disadvantage to you in space because you grinded out a profession I have no desire to have?

I was interested in this because I am genuinely interested so please don't flame.

And the rest of us are genuinely opposed. Search and you'll have found many examples.

90% of my posted are in the Ahazi galaxy, Ahazi Galaxy Trade and Jedi forums.

Cookie for you!

Oh and you can't tell me that Luke didn't use his force powers while in flight so stop hating cause you aint Jedi.

Are you Luke? I didn't think so. In fact, were there thousands of jedi running amok in the movies? NO! Purge jedi from the game, bring back permadeath, then the jedi that are left can use a special jedi-onlylightsaber blaster that weighs twice as much as a prototype weapon and does half the damage.

See! I TOLD you this would be sooo much more fun if the original poster came back!Maybe he'll post again, I'll be we can get at least another week's enjoyment out of this.

Despite the thread being nearly over, somethings are too good to let go of:

So, this is absolutely ridiculous. I post my opinion on something that makes complete sense to everyone except you overconfident pilots....

Uh...you posted...in...the pilots forum! Funny how pilots might know more than you about a space issue.

You might possibly represent everything wrong with this game. I've been around since beta/launch - I saw what the hologrind did ot the game, and what jedi whining has done. You sort of epitimize all that in your posts. It's impressive. And disgusting. Stay on the ground, you don't deserve space.

This thread is funny. I'd like to point you back to my first post. But thanks for helping the pilot community come together on an issue.

Hi all, I am new to the pilot profession and am wanting to build my skills, but I find it frustrating that I can't use my jedi skills in space. I have come to depend on these skills on the ground and have worked very hard to EARN them, so the likely transition of using those said skills in space seems only fair. Stuff like force heal, AI would be a great advantage and something that would be a well deserved ability for the work I have already put into my skills.

why is everyone freaking out??? Devs let jedi use force heal and avoidincap in space, sure lol wont help this guys ships from blowing up lmao. This guy is not so bright peeps and if you havnt noticed us jedi think this game belongs and should cater to us.

when i see posts like this, it makes me embarrased to be a jedi.. my god, i should just delete myself and go back to my tka roots j/k hehe

You'd have better results yellling at door knob at the top of your lungs. Suffice to say the cranial matter betwixed his ear lobes has the density and hardness of reinforeced concrete first poured in the 1920's. Hence, theres a high probability that one may abandon all reason and logic with the troglodyte at this time, and further enjoy the fun he has presented.

due to a bug i currently have intimidate on my space action bar, when i use intimidate in space it puts me in ground style combat, allowing me to 'attempt' to use critical strike in space, but it doesn't work, i think jedi force powers should work the same way in space

I had a nice reply for this thread, but deleted it since I don't think he is worth it.

So here is my challenge to all the people who want to have jebay skills for pilot. Go to endor -6499, 246, -262. Survive for 20 minutes. If you get blown up, then go back and try again until you do. You don't even have to kill anything, just survive.

Here is what I see happening:

1. You will give up in frustration and /cry /whine /pout in the forums as to how tough the game is and why you think you should have special skills. OR (and I highly doubt number 2 will happen)

2. You will learn how to improve you skills by just staying alive. If you manage to kill one of the spawns at this point (I'm not going to tell you what is here, but it isVERY tough) then you should feel what people call 'a sense of accomplishment'.

A 'sense of accomplishment"is what you feel when you do a good job that you can be proud of. It will require what people call 'work' and 'skill' not just mindless grinding.

3. You actually manage to not just survive, but clearn the spawn point. Congratulation, you either have an uber ship, or very good skills. Welcome to the pilot community.

This area is where I warm up before I go to deep space. The spawns are very fast and maneuverable. It helped me improve my pvp skills a considerable amount. I still need to face living opponents to get better, but those are few and far between.

/rant Please don't tell me you want space skills just because you'earned' them by being a jedi. You did no such thing. Jedi is opened by doing mindless grinding. I know, I was 2 boxes from unlocking before I started dropping boxes. I'm still going to keep my faster force crafting since it is good for my shipwirght experimentation.

As for my attitude, and I'm sure your going to bring it up, I'm a week 1 vet. When did you join?. I have seen it all. All of the fotm, nerfs, balances, bugs, exploits, and the supposed fixes. Space is still the one facet of the game that is still fun for me. To give a class a bonus to their skills because of their ground profession is just assinine. It would ruin the experience. The only ground profession that has any bearing on space is shipwright, and that should stay on the ground.

/end rant

Have fun at endor. (Not that I think you will even go there. It would be too much like work)

Are ALL jedi really like this? Do they all want everythign in the damn game handed to them on a silver platter at the expense of the rest of the players?

Not all of them, but the good ones are few and far between. The people who would have been jedi under the original system that was propsed in beta. The ones who love the game, help people, improve the community, and just happen to be jedi. Then there are these guys, who are in the majority of the jedi minority.

I've been using that word a lot in this thread. It's a reminder to them and us that they are a small segment of the game population who has gotten a hell of a lot more than any other segment. It's my hope that at some point they will see the light and just sit down and shut up instead of always begging for more. I don't expect it to happen, because the kind of mentality in these "other jedi" makes that almost impossible. They use words like selfish, childish, and envy, to call everyone else something that only really applies to them.

How much out of your normal lifes' course has been changed just because of my opinion?

Wow, the power of a forum that has no impact to reality.

How bout this, I will continue to go on with my SWG experience and believe that feelings are feelings, innate powers are powers and they all should be available at anytime if you have them. Maybe females shouldn't be as good of pilots because they lack the brain-size of males right? Or maybe their natural intuition that males don't have should be turned off so that you male pilots can keep your self importance in tact.

I am sure if I have the ability to Root a Krayt then your little girly ship may not be too much to ask.

Hey, but you have a lot invested in "pilot"...lol...Pilot, that is just so funny to me.

Oh by the way, I will master pilot in about 1 week. I can't wait to feel the rush of self worth that I will feel, the feeling so close to Godliness that Satan will have nightmares of me, Oh, my trembling heart...peace be still, peace be still.
