Thread: Focus thead: bugs within specific missions. 2/2005
Finally finished the CorSec tier 2 first mission. It looks like you need to ignore the cannon ships that spawn about 4km away from the waypoint. There's one that spawns really close to it instead. It didn't even have any escorts, so it was much easier than the others anyways....
I never saw any Lieutenant, so it may not be a requirement to kill it first as posted before, unless someone had already taken it out. Just hand around the waypoint and look for a cannon ship spawning very close to you... then get close inspect, attempt to dock, disable, and dock was all it took.
Smugglers Alliance Tier 3 Mission 2
First part is to inspect and disable some witchblood ships, after docking I get mission update and new waypoint. I go to this new waypoint and nothing there. Supposed to inspect Witchblood Punishers but they are not there. Did this twice with same result.

I'm quoting myself to add that this bug is, unfortunately for me to find out, repeatable. I got to tier 3 last night with the Iniquisition and received the same bug. So now I'm doing black epsilon to see if its only squad-dependent.
Mission 1 for Tier 3 of the Inquisition Squadron. The first part is fine, but the second part never spawns the ship I need to disable near Yavin.
Corsec Freelancer-First "Tier two" mission - Inspect Cannon Ship, get ship orders.
I was pulling my hair out trying to figure out how to complete this knowing it was bugged, after failing who knows how many times, it then began to give me the mission without a waypoint!
I finally figured out that I should "Travel" to Lok-Nym's Stronghold, then to space, finally it gave me waypoints again.
The key here is to get the cannon ship close to the waypoint, I killed several before I found one just over 2000m from the Waypoint, I targetted it's engines, fired once and ran towards the waypoint, I managed to get him somewhere under 500m from it, then I disabled and docked and finished it up.

Is this still the case today? I know there was at least one of these fixed recently (might have been rori rebel, don't remember off the top of my head)
I just want confirm that as of today (8/23/2005) this mission is still bugged. The RSF NPC Pilots do not do ANYTHING at all. And frankly the mission is almost impossible unless you get very lucky or have lots of master pilot friends. Been chewed up and spit out 4 times now by those gunboats. They are just so incredibly accurate, and it's near impossible to seperate the fighter escorts away form the gunboats to atleast eliminate one problem. I kind of find it amusing this has been bugged since atleast February.

This is still probably known if this is a bug or not but when i get so far when escorting the Corvette, it just blows up, no reason, 100% or near health on all parts, but it just blows up, and im sure this must be a bug because i have performed this twice and at the same part, same time, same place, it just blows up
Is there any info on this or am i actually doing this wrong or something???

Smuggler's Alliance, tier 4 exit mission.
Mission is to assassinate some folks, starting with an imperial ace in lok space. I've run the mission three times, and it's the same every time. I kill the ace in his tier 5 oppressor, and get the message that says 'primary target destroyed, finish off the escort.' His escort isfour tier 4 tie advanced. I kill the first one and get the 'neat, there's three left' message. After that, no more messages. Killing the remaining three results in no updates to the quest. I sat in lok space for a while each time to see if the next mark would ever show, but no dice. Landing or hypering out of the system results in a failure.

Indestructable asteroid chunks.
not the asteroid itself, but the chunks,,, a high rate of them are not breakable and therefor cannot be harvested
this has reduced my mining efficiency by 50%! god I hope this gets fixed,, or maybe I'm an idiot,, either way, I can't mine and make a reasonable profit until this is fixed or I understand why this is happening. I can't waste my time chasing after chunks that cannot be broken apart and harvested
