I did notice a few things about the Y-8 quest bug:



  1. The fact that its mission details screen is blank was probably intentional. None of the other missions in the Y-8 quest have filled detail screens.
  2. In the quest journal, under the Y-8 mission you are supposed to do, it says "Travel to the Kashyyk System". However, once you do "Travel to the Kashyyk System",your Quest JournalSTILL says "Travel to the Kashyyk System".
  3. The mission doesn't even START when you're up in Kashyyk space.

So the problem with the Y-8: Escort mission quest isn't that the waypoint is never given to you, the problem is that when you travel to the Kashyyk system, the mission doesn't know to start.


So, devs, you could probably fix this bug by closely examining the mission and adding a startline to it.

Well, I've submitted it as a bug and talked to 4 CSRs. So... here's the bug.

I got my mission for Tier 3, mission #2 from the Emperor's Retreat in the night. When getting back online in the morning my mission had disappeared. I tried traveling to space, talking to the trainer a few times, as well as seeking out record keepers. Nothing worked. It just disappeared and the trainer still believes I have the mission. Thought I'd give a heads up to anyone else with a similar problem on the issue.

I'll wager you have a Corsec or Smuggler's Alliance pilot in your group. That's causing the red, but I'm also 99% sure that they cant hurt you, and you can't hurt them. You may be getting shot at, but I think the damage is coming from your true foes.

Black Epsilon Missions after attaining 4434 and 4444 From Insurgent on Dantooine Imperial Outpost are both the same and do not give any rewards after completing mission and talking to Insurgent. Both Missions are exactly the same. Mission to Dathomir to escort a drop ship sending a survey team to the surface of dathomir. Immediately after you complete the escort you rendezvous with a dropship that is damaged. Dock with dropship and escort it out of sector. After completing that there is a brief patrol mission that completes without finding any targets to kill. Go back to Dantooine and Insurgent doesn't recognize the completion of the mission...no reward nodebriefing on themission just completed. Instead he skips it and gives you a duty mission. Upon getting enough xp for 4444 imperial in black epsilon you get 4444 and you get the exact same mission as before and it goes through the same sequence. No fight with the three pilots you are supposed to kill, no reward. He just tells you after you do the mission again that you have a new fan and are to meet with the grand admiral in theed to start the master missions.

I'm having the same problem with Freelance Tier 3 Mission 4. You are supposed to be joining a hutt/rancor battle, only the Hutts don't join the battle. I managed to make it to the second battle once and once agained the Hutts didnt engage. I enjoy the way the mission is set up, and could be one of the better quests ive done in space if it was working.

Is this a bug or am i missing somthing, like a pre- requisit mission ??


i am a master Imp pilot.

no pending space missions in datapad.


All i wanna do is have the ability to Mine.


every time i talk to flash harrision he says what you looking at.



thats it, no options, no drop down conversation menu.


did i miss somthing ????

Smuggler's Alliance, Teir 3, Mission 3.


Frustrating one this.. Deliver 3 packages, one after the other. Sounds easy...

You get attacked. 3 x teir-3 which quickly becomes 9 as others join in.


I tried to fight 'em..Shoot them down and three more turn up the very instant you nail 3. They over wealm you. You die.


I tried to run. I used boost and ignored the first wave(s) got to the shuttle, delivered package 1, got taken apart as I undocked, shields down, armour weakend (those 9 caught up) tried to escape and out run to the next package delivery, but get taken out.


I tried to hide. The nearest station can't repair you but gives you a breather to regen shields if you have any left. you still need to out run em. They over welam you. You die.


You have to keep going back to Jabba's to re-take the mission. He makes you park out back so you got a long run back inside. in all a lengthy pain in the bottomski just to try different methods.


Ifly a Dunelizard, shields are just over 1k front and back, same for the armour.Engine speed is 7.9. Boost is 25. top speed of 750 (994 boost)

I darent try it with the freelance spdx 1.0, 40k mass speed ship as I cantcarry the armour to take the damage, and the speed difference is only about 40. Top speed of 790.


What's a Pilot supposed to do to get past this?


I found my answer.........



On another thread (Perhaps I can link later?) A clever pilot suggested luring the ships away from the shuttle then hyperspace to another part of the same area. then fly back to the shuttle. If you lured them far enough away, you should be able to dock happily in your own time. You may need to repeat this at the other two shuttles. The spawn rates go back to 'normal' for the last escort stage of this mission.

Hope this helps any other frustrated Smugglers

found my answer, there is no bug trying get mining starter mission, theres not one.


i just loaded up a cargo hold, mining laser and tractor beam, and was able to mine.

I originally thought that the sheer number of enemy ships spawned might of been a bug of sorts, the whole mission seemed impossible...

However, it was just my lack of tactics that stopeed me completing this one. ...

NPC: Prisk

Starting Location: Imp Outpost, Talus

My Rank at start: 2/2/1/1


This is the eliminate Rebel Bomber Leader mission. I killed the bomber Leader, and his escort, got a successful mission message, went back to prisk, and he says that i have my orders, i only can say, I Need A Hyperdrive, he says, Yes, If you are going to be of use to me, you may have to purchase a new ship.


Has anyone else run into this? Is there an extra part of this mission that I am missing.

Vortex Squadron: Tier 4 - 2nd Mission (Terminate the Master Inquisitor)


Recieved: Dearic, Talus


Mission Begins: Yavin Space



I posted this in a thread by itself before considering this thread, but seeing as this thread focuses specifically on mission bugs, I figured I'd add it here.









While trying to complete the Tier4 VortexSquadron mission: Terminate the Master Inquisitor, I was disabled and destroyed. As soon as I respawned at the space station (no more than 1 second after), I was destroyed again by an unknown force.


Thinking this was a gliche I went and received the mission again. I was once again defeated and towed to the space station, only to be destroyed again upon respawning.


Stupidly I thought perhaps there was some logic to this so I once again went for the mission. This time when I was defeated, I didn't immediately respawn at the station, but was immediately destroyed again. After being destroyed the 2nd time, I then respawned at the space station, only to be destroyed 2 more times immediately after respawning (back to back without having to respawn each time).


Each time I was destroyed, the 2nd phase of the mission (Defend yourself against Uvgolo's Interceptors) reset, resulting in 9 x 4 (36) Interceptors spawning.


Thinking I was suffering some ill effects from these repeated deaths, I checked the status of my ship only to find that it had gone from 1913 Hit Points down to 1294 Hit Points.
