Why would any one in their right mind want to fix that ship its Anakins fighter, its the cream of all fighters made by one of the best pilot's in the galaxy to nerf it is a insult to Darth Vader, and to Star Wars. Besides decay on it is fairly harsh go out and try it see what happens to the chassis. Lastly I think all the ships are slowly getting upgrades technology moves on, styles and models change let it occur let the clock tick.

This makes no sense, following this logic the TIE Advanced should run circles around the Jedi Fighter. The TIE Advanced is a ship "the cream of all fighters made by one of the best pilot's in the galaxy" made *after* the antique Jedi fighter. The Jedi fighter, as you will see in EP3 was not even an exclusivly Anakin/Vader ship, Obi-Wan flies one too, so did other Jedi. So that logic here breaks down even further, and using the statement I quoted, support for making the TIE Advanced this uber is well founded as this *was* a ship built by/for Vader.

Please, if you want to make these types of arguements for something, at least follow through with learning all of the canon

NOTE: This is in no way meant to be seen as support for beefing up the TIE Advanced, it was only used to explain how this point is not so valid. I do NOT support making the TIE Advanced as "godlike" as the Jedi fighter.

See that's the problem your not looking at the other fighters, they do need to be better soo why not go tha route have them fix the older ships.. Especially since they are supposed to be newer ones. The problem lies is the ships, including the Aertic is that they have been implemented in as Relics, well relics means rare but it also means exquisite in design. So why nerf break something, make it rare like umm legendary ships? or weapons or something, not nerf it. Its really about I want to be uber no one else can, and the Aertic can be defeated its not a all situations fighter its like a A-wing a Tie Interceptor its a light fighter, not a heavy fighter that can take on capital ships. Oh btw let's nearf the Heavy X-wing it has speed .90.

KSE Firespray anyone 10 million?

And yes I do support Tie Advanced being upgraded I had hoped they had I was looking forward to an upgrade especially since Darth Vader was involved in its testing, development.

You've got a lot of nerve calling people "ignorant" when you can't even use proper grammar and continue to ignore 5 pages (!!!) of argument and counterargument. And WTH is an "Aertic" fighter? You don't know what the proper name is for the fighter design you're supposedly championing. How's that for ignorant?

No, it is not about rare relics, or any of that. It boils down to being about balance, pure and simple.

Why bring the other ships in line with the new ones? The netcode already has enough problems with the speeds of the other ships, doing this will make you never see you opponent, and them never see you as the netcode cannot keep up, and you will die before you see them, or they will die before they see you.

The other fighters DO NOT need to be better, and relics are still relics. Design may be good, but that does not stop the fact that the function of newer things over these relics will still be better. Take the car metaphor, an old 50's or 60's Dodge car, even perfectly restored, with as modern an engine that will let you run it, is still going to be inferior to the speed, power, areodynamics, handling capabilities, and sheer driveability of a Dodge Viper, heck, even a Stealth. The old car may look super cool loosing, but it will still loose.

And as for being ignorant, the only ignorant one here is the person who cannot keep this civil. I have been presenting my side in a very calm logical manner, you could at least summon up the common decency to do the same.

There are plenty of older cars that are superior to new cars, rare case in point. I apologize about the ignorant comment it was heated... I am good at that. Back to the situation the problem goes back to what is occuring on the ground. The game is broken, space isn't well not in PVE, PVP that's debateble. I do not want too see space broken I will move on if they go and do that, my biggest concern is this. I go to a dealer and buy a vehicle that vehicle is designed for that year they don't call me back later and recall it and break it more, they upgrade or fix a problem. That does not mean removing performance it means enhancing it. SAme as on the ground same as in Space. Some people like the CU but soo many left, why is space empty in places because of the difficulty of Ships, nope PVE nope. What then umm two shot kills or in most cases 1. People don't want to retro fit, fix their ship or watch it decay do you? Nope... Does it happen yes ok so it happens.. All things wear out fine I can live with that, what I can't live with is something issued then changed to reflect something worse, sorry not going to happen.

Yes, you buy a vehicle, and they recall the steering mechanism because, while it was much faster than the one they replaced it with, and the handling with the old was really good, it was unsafe, and would have made you crash by breaking while you were in those turns.

So yes, that does happen. To map that to the game, the netcode and latentcy you get in these games, which is unavoidable, even going to broadband only server models, cannot keep up if they keep making everything so fast. It just doesn't work.

I don't think discussions over the superiority of modern technology to stuff that's 20-40 years old can really use comparisons between the Star Wars world and real life. The pace of technological growth in SW seems relatively stagnant to our current time and place, and while wars tend to be a great time for vehicular innovation, the pace of advancement isn't an independent variable from the age and the conditions which compose it. Sometimes it's fast, sometimes it's slow, sometimes it's regressive. The Star Wars universe, at present (whenever that is, exactly), seems to be in a rather slow time. (And in truth it seems rather contradictory--or at least complex--in that some technologies have seen major recent progress while others have regressed or disappeared completely.)

In any event, it's a video game based on a science fiction universe. That makes any comparisons to the real world a rather tricky and unstable business.

As far as decay goes, a ship or part won't see any until it's suffered more than 10 points of damage. End result is, a part can never decay below 10 HP, as it simply can't be damaged enough to ever induce further decay. So once you've got one of these ships, you've got it for the long haul.

And on a third note, has anyone tested whether chassis speed mods affects PYR rates as well yet?

They do not. But you get to your maximum turning rate super-fast. In conjunction with Engine Overload 4 and a mid 70s YPR engine... This ship is just all kinds of nasty.

The best comparison I can make is that it flies like a player-controlled Tier 5 Droid Fighter.
