* attacks aparalope with a long vibro axe, miss. Swings again, miss swings once more, miss. wonders why I can miss so much but attacks anyways...miss. Getting really ticked off now and does a polearmhit, miss. Feeling bad about losing so much HAM and still miss, miss. Watches the TKA fighting and ponders about becoming one of them, miss. Paralope kills. Paralope wins...*

How are the HAM costs way to high? Would somebody please f'n explain this to me, because I see at least 5+ people complaining about this. The whole point of specials IS THEY ARE **edit**ING SPECIALS. Not your regular move, and I know that most of the people that complain about high HAM costs run to an enemy, and queue up 20 polearmhit2s or polearmsweep1s, so get it into your thick skull that we hit the hardest which is why are HAM costs are so high and that HAM costs are high BECAUSE THEY ARE SPECIALS, not your regular attack.

i agree with romeo.. however the accuracy really needs to get looked at.. I understand that as master you rarely miss... but why must i keep dying because i continuously miss womp rats (as a novice pikeman)... the only way i gain polearm xp is when i have a medic with me or i'm fighting big game and i just tap it with my polearm once.. while the rest of his health is drained from my carbine....

Yes Saryon, I also agree that accuracy is an issue, infact, probably the top issue. And as far as not missing that much as master, yesterday I missed 3 times in a row, ewwwwwww. First time in a while though.

*edit* We 'don't' go thru out health faster than the enemy. Sorry.

I think that's a good idea Arkmind....in fact that's a wonderful idea for ALL combat professions. For pistoleer, carbine, rifleman, BH, pikeman, fencer, tk, etc. I applaud you on that.

To preface:

#1 I don't pretend to intimately know each of your concerns

#2 I do group with Pikeman so I know the damage output they are capable of.

With that said:

I am a TK and I thought I would point out a few things about some of the posts here.

To the individual who thinks a Pikeman should hit at least as fast as a TK does with his fists, you are clueless man and have soo much class envy that it blinds you to any underlaying balance issues that may exist. A TK novice hits for 200-250 without styles, Pikeman hit for hell of alot more but pay for that damage in terms of speed of attack. Unfortunately this also means that a miss is a far greater liability to a Pikeman than a TK.

To the "almost" Master Pikeman who got owned by a novice Brawler, you don't know how to play your class. How you got owned by someone whose specials consist of Unarmed Stun1 and and Blind while you most likely have Lunge, Dizzy, and KNOCKDOWN....well I am speechless.

As for all people ever seeing is Trandoshan TK's...I am sure the poster was being funny but if not take a look at the Trando racial benefits...it's not entirely shocking that folks wiould choose such a race.

Bottom line is this:

There is only 1issue that lays between TK's and Pikeman when determining who wins in a Duel.

That issue is who gets a successful KD first. Period. TK's hit faster and as such have the advantage.

Everything else is just a matter of opinion and probably boils down to an attitude of that grass is always greener...

hehe all those were me,

but anyway we agreed to no knockdowns. the player had knockdown but we agreed to not use specials or KD. what im saying is that at the end of the battle i should have won but only by a little. Understand? I am almost a master. There should have been some kind of advantage that i had over the young TKA when we both use no specials and no KD.
