Thread: Pikeman Concerns
/breath in and out slowly
To preface:
#1 I don't pretend to intimately know each of your concerns
#2 I do group with Pikeman so I know the damage output they are capable of.
With that said:
I am a TK and I thought I would point out a few things about some of the posts here.
To the individual who thinks a Pikeman should hit at least as fast as a TK does with his fists, you are clueless man and have soo much class envy that it blinds you to any underlaying balance issues that may exist. A TK novice hits for 200-250 without styles, Pikeman hit for hell of alot more but pay for that damage in terms of speed of attack. Unfortunately this also means that a miss is a far greater liability to a Pikeman than a TK.
To the "almost" Master Pikeman who got owned by a novice Brawler, you don't know how to play your class. How you got owned by someone whose specials consist of Unarmed Stun1 and and Blind while you most likely have Lunge, Dizzy, and KNOCKDOWN....well I am speechless.
As for all people ever seeing is Trandoshan TK's...I am sure the poster was being funny but if not take a look at the Trando racial benefits...it's not entirely shocking that folks wiould choose such a race.
Bottom line is this:
There is only 1issue that lays between TK's and Pikeman when determining who wins in a Duel.
That issue is who gets a successful KD first. Period. TK's hit faster and as such have the advantage.
Everything else is just a matter of opinion and probably boils down to an attitude of that grass is always greener...
hehe all those were me,
but anyway we agreed to no knockdowns. the player had knockdown but we agreed to not use specials or KD. what im saying is that at the end of the battle i should have won but only by a little. Understand? I am almost a master. There should have been some kind of advantage that i had over the young TKA when we both use no specials and no KD.
they really arn't too slow, at least i don't think.
Both accuracy and speed are GREATLY increased as you go up the tree.
