Since I haven't seen anyone in this thread say they hate your guide I would leave it. People simply stated how they prefer to grind this prof which is a good thing, this way people have a choice on how they want to approach and find what works better for them. Your guide being a very safe way to do things is PERFECT for a newb to the game or someone who doesn't want to take any chances. That is not a bad thing. Myself enjoying risks, when I get novice will probably try rancors or squills to lvl up, but I don't worry about armor costs either. The way you describe is a cost efficient way to grind this prof as well as many others. When I was grinding commando I swore by quenkers, still say for the difficulty they are the best XP you can get, but I got bored with them and rancors are a nice change of scenary for me. So basically good job and keep this here to help newbs and money conscience people alike, it truely is informative and helpful.

I've seen people in other threads say that my guide is bad. No one in this thread has said it, but people in other threads have.
And I'll keep it up.

Sounds like a good strategy to me. I'm just starting a new character with polearms, and I think I'll follow your recommendations.

Yes, you can master Pikeman and Smuggler and you'll have 52 skill points left over.

Well, since family is over, and I'm trying to find ways to avoid them, I'll toss my hat into this ring.

I just leveled up doctor to be able to buff myself, and then grinding pikeman was a matter of huntress lair after huntress lair after huntress lair...

That got boring so I switched to faction farming. Nothing fancy.

However, grinding this prof in the early days, whew...that would be painful. It was very slow going relative to 1H, for me anyway. As such, I think the guide you posted is fine.

I don't know how old you are but don't be such a kid. You placed the post cause you thought it was a good idea - STICK TO IT.

Even thoughI think your post is crap don't let someone else discourage you. Just kidding about the crap part - I liked it. Now grow up.

Well, that guid os good for new character, but for my established character, i've found the best/quickets way to grind any combat profession (I've done rifles/swordsman/tka so far using this method) is to go to the Genosian caves with a mid sized group (I find the 5-10 works best) and say in the entrance where the Crazed Genosians spawn. Then its time for everyone to use their Area Attack. Usually get 2k-3.5k per kill, and wit ha group, the spawn rate gets a big boost. I ground out every profession I've done in there in less than 3 days.

I'm leveling Pike right now....I went up defenses first, now I'm working on speed. I had mixed opinions about doing speed or block first, and I think in hindsight I wish I would have done speed first. But all is well! I love being able to go to quill cave and take on 5-6 and send them all flying with sweep.

So yeah, I would recommend speed, then defense, then offense. Combat xp is very precious to me, so it'll take the longest.

Cheers!

Oh, and where can I acquire/get made an unlimited poison dot axe or lance? Saw one in trade forum and I want....

if you can afford it... kinetic ubese armor, buffs, v.brandy, and speed sliced LVAs till you finish the speed line. for my server, i stayednearKrath, Naboo. why? 10k+ famba missions that give 4-5k each. get with a big group and you can have at least 10 spawn plus the lair. missions were as close as 800 to the terminal which was right in front of a cantina full of doctors and trainers in the garden.
