I can't remember the exact stats on my c12's but the top end I do belive was like 870 damage? Pretty darn good. It was taking me between 3-5 packs of grenades per lair, at 5 grenades per pack. Its still worth it to get fast combat xp. Whatever you do, don't throw a grenade at a monster attacking you. If its on top of you, your in the blast radius. I'd always get 25m away from the lair to throw. Also throwing grenades seems to have a HAM cost like throwing a trap, either that or I was still in the blast radius at 25m.

Grinding Pikeman myself right now and I'm not sure if any of you knew about this, but there is a chef food that improves accuracy.
It's called snowcake I believe and I pop one before I grind anything. Almost never miss now and just need to get the speed trees.
Good guide. The stats on the snowcake I have is +37 to weapon accuracy
I wish I had known about that food when I was grinding! lol
(Although it might not've been out yet.... hmm.... o_O)

Once I got to novice I just joined solo groups and did quenker missions. When you get lvl 99 ones you get 50k xp per lair. Using a speed sliced LVA until 400x and then a dmg sliced one til master spamming spin attack 1 seems the best method to me.

ThisGuideis wellwriten, but only covers it from the NoviceSkilled & or Rookie Players point of View.
For instance if you allready have Lances, Staffs and Axes You will not have to buy them ( if you're planning on doing it fast you might want to have all the weaponsthat you will need before you start.) & will give you more time to track down the best suited for your style(speed speed speed to start with and once you get going Power). Also if you allready have a "meelee" elite profession, You can skip the Low-Level-Mobs because chances are you have mitigation2or3 and will allready beable to "tank".
Where I disagree : a)inaccuracy with LVA@ polearms3. All you need is a fast LVA and it wont matter that you miss 4 of 5 shots because the one you land will equil 10 with the staff.
b) getting defences 1, I dont see how a Knockdown is going to help you if you're missing the "Dizzy" & against Creatures even if you had the Dizzy can still get up with in seconds. thats 175k xp faster that you could have Stances4.
c) Doing it on missions is going to slow you down very much.
d) Doing it agaisnt any old NPC or creature is like walking in the dark with out a flashlight, You'll get there eventully. Pikes have different damages types, Find something that suits the weapon you're using. VibroLance(electricity) would go well with Pikets on Dantooine because they're Electric Vuln etc.
FUTHERMORE - If any one is looking for a starting guild to SWG this would apply very very very well and you should consider rewording all the "pike" references with General Game Play Issues and Call it "The Guild to getting Started" if there's not allready one writen that is.
If you're working with Millions or Billions of Credits Im sure you probobly allready know what you're doing and would probobly never even read this thread & that's probobly the understanding behind this guild, but there's peopleout there like my self who like to add their two cents onto something that's done well & try taking credit.
Nice Post T.S.W.K!

ive gotten 8 skill boxes in the past 4 days hunting nothing but hurton huntresses, howlers ,stalkers and fierce piket protectors on dantooine. i need 2 more skill boex until master.
HAHAHA 4 days = 92 hours of game play and you only put up 8 boxes.
in 10 hours I did 8 blocks + brawler from novice ( which took 6 hours to get novice pike ) & 4 hours to get about 1 million Polearm xp, added with my combat xp, I went from nothing to 4-0-0-3 Pike in less time it took him to get a hurton's mission.
P.S. Sweep2 only does more because you dont think about it & if you realized that the Speed is the only reason that Sweep is better, & therefor getting Spin2 first makes more sense.

Taking into consideration this is just a guide i think its a good starting point, but people have to do it whichever way they enjoy it more.
Ive been levelling up on endor taking gurrcat/lantern bird/blurg missions, running betweenthe twotaking out arachne drones and anything else thatisnt someone elses mission, but i get bored fighting the same thing over and over again
So i went to dantooine - did 2 missions and didnt get paid on either! So i wont be going theren again
Going to try Lok now and Gurk missions as i havent done those before as i need variety.....so thanks for the tip

just switched over to pikeman, from novice brawler, i just bought the appropriete weapons, a wood staff, a reinforced combat staff, and a lance, got the lance sliced, tossed on my 76% kinetic ubese, grabbed a crate of brandy and headed straight for dantooine. got polearms 1&2 by killing 3 quenkers (seems like it takes a while, but it actually only took @7 minutes per kill, less time than it takes to get 2.4k xp from city critters) doing quenker missions right from the start (easily doable with buffs, armor and brandy and a little patience) got me from 0 polearms xp to novice in about 9 missions. from here on in till master, i hit STATIC LAIRS!!!! NOT MISSIONS! missions spawn 6-9 mobs per, as where static lairs pop out anywhere from 15-30 mobs, plus you don't spend time running back and forth to the mission terminal, and looking for the right mission. although those without master ranger may find it easier to do missions cause lairs can be few and far between. you want my suggestion for levelling after you hit novice pike...go after static seething bol crusher herds and lairs, 4.5k xp each, 15-30 of em per spawn, but keep a doc handy, those diseases can stack 3 fold and get real nasty if you don't keep an eye on it
