Go to Corellia, Coronet (This is where I got mine, you can go to anyone of the NPC cities onCorellia.) Get "a Pack of Razor Cats" missions. They pay 4.7k off of mission terminals. The Females give 3k xp per kill when grouped and the regular ones give 2k when grouped. They don't DeathBlow (DB). (I think) and once you get Polearms 4 you can go to Dantooine and take REGULAR Quenker missions. I'm not sure about the XP they give, but ALWAYS group when you're getting xp.
Now when you are Novice you can start on Savage Quenkers. (If you want to,but you can still do regular Quenkers if you want.) Buy a VibroLance (VL) and get it sliced by a master smuggler.

Stuff in red is all wrong

Go To Cornet?? Wrong...at polearms 3 you can do lvl 32 quenkers. Then get lvl 99 for 4 and novice and dont do savage quenkers..They have range acid attacks...do stalkers at lvl 4 in the speed tree faster xp...... I wouldn't have post this is STARWARSKID let our correspondent do it. And my way can be done in a day if you macro polearm area spin and spin lair's its like 5min per lair and can be done in a day. Whoever heard of going to cornet?

Ok, lol make fuin of me all you want...lol....I might have macro'd my proffessions but was there to do everything I need to Healing, Changing weapons etc. I think people want to get the proffession done not sit for hour's getting a couple boxe's

Look's like a solid template. With all the solo groups going now though, I started out last night at Pole 2, and got to Pikeman 0-0-0-1 in a 6 hour marathon sit. Just got totally buffed 2300+ for about 3.5 hours and made sure I had the mind stat'sfood and rock and rolled on quenker missions all night long. I used a couple of set's of padded armor with 75% kinetic resist's that worked out great. Once I got to Pole's 2 I used the basic lance up til novice and then switched to a sliced Vibro lance. I do agree that avoiding the Vibro axe is good. Not a very good weapon. The basic lance will serve you well up til novice pikeman. Next up I'm going to try the same technique on heavyswordsman. If anyone on Bloodfin want's to team up I'm alway's up for a partner. Name is Caepyk Revan.

The reason for grouping with a master elite profession is so you can get better missions for more xp. (You also get more xp when grouped) The mind food is like getting a mind buff, execpt brandy only lasts for 30-40 minutes.

And the best profession for tanking right now (to the best of my knowledge) would have to be Teras Kasi Artist.

Hope that answers your questions!

I'm sorry to burden you all with noobie questions but.. seeing as this is a relativly noobie guide.. anyway
I understand every aspect of your guide starwarskid, but im not familiar with the reason you say to group with a master elite combat class. why is this? more xp? or is it that more mobs spawn?

also, about the mind food. for what reason do you drink it? do the buffs wear away at your mind?

(and a little off topic) what job template makes for the best tank? i suppose this question need not be answered here on this thread. but if you could throw your 2 cents in that would be rad~

This is exactly what I thought as I went thru Pikeman (the wrong way). Great post, wish I would have been to the forums sooner.

StarWarsKid...

First off great guide. I'm just starting off on the path of Pikeman and really enjoyed reading it. I have done a little Polearms before and prefer LVA personaly but see why you said otherwise.

The point I do want to make is this though. Don't take things so personaly. Your thread will get flamed and, if you think about it hard enough =), that proves it's getting read by a lot of people. Every large thread gets people who hate it. 1/2 the time they're jealous they didn't do it first . The point is to keep it up and to keep it going and to ignore them. If you had gotten mad enough and deleted this any of the times you had threatened to then so many newbies would not have this guide to turn to. You did great.

May the Force be with You... Always
