I got sick of the hologrind and decided to go back to what I enjoyed: Melee fighting. Unfortunately my first love TKA is now a disease upon the face of the game, andfencing isn't far behind being used by all the stackers so I had to decide between swords & pikeman.

While I have seen many swordsman on my server, I can only recall seeing 1 lone Master Pikeman, so I decided this would be my profession of choice. I also have a secret hope that once the combat revamp rolls around...pikeman might be worth something someday Every dog has its day right?

All in all Im enjoying it. Like one of the posters mentioned above, it sure beats kneeling down and shooting at something over and over.

Ok guys ... I am new to the Profession, well not quite a Pikeman yet but almost there. I was originally going for Armorsmith/Carbineer then I got the cube and it told me BH. After tireing of invisable/white marks I decided to drop BH (2/4/4/4), F the cube. I have now picked up the polearm and am going for Master Pikeman/Doctor....

..... Now I just have one question. Are their any other Pikeman on Kettemoor, I have only seen one. Looking through these boards I see alot of other servers listed but no mention of Kettemoor, theres got to be more than one other .....

... I think.

Bria is still fairly clear of Pikemen. Not a whole heck of a lot of us, except for the holo-grinders.

I think that most people are working on Master brawler that have the pikes on Bria.

That is a good point, many of these we see carrying LVAs might be working on Master Brawler since warcry2 and lunge2 is all the rage. (For good reason!)

umm im goin pikeman cause i thought it looked cool , and fount out that soloin night sister elders with MTK/MBrawler/ and pikeman 1222 is awsome as hell , plus we get uber loot

How do you go about soloing elders with TKM/pike? TKM has kinetic damage, pike has kinetic and electricity (unless you have an energy lance) and the elders have 100% kinetic and electricity resists.

Sorry to hijack this thread. Just came to the pikeman forum for some peace and quiet, I really wish the TK forum was this civilized again. I've been studying Teras Kasi for a long time now and I've seen the TK forum go from "intelligent discussions" to downright chaos, I'm sure most of you have visited the TK forums lately and know what I'm talking about.

The TK forums contain nothing but "nerf this and nerf that" and " I want this and I want that", nothing but over sensative TKA's and nerf herders populating the board

My apologies for venting in the Pikeman forum, I've always been an admirer of this profession and I only want the best for you guys/gals.

I'll just sit in the corner and listen.

I have been seeing more Pikeman around on Flurry, but not nearly enough to make it a common profession. I still have to fly to different citys and planets to try and find a person to teach me, that or annoy my guildmates to do searches for me. Personally I hope that it stays low on Flurry, I enjoy being a rare sight for most players.

I'm heading to pikeman mainly just because it looks so cool and becaus eit sounds a really fun proffesion to master.

Hmm, all Master Pikemen I've been meeting lately on Eclipse confess to me that they did it for the holo, the holo, it's all about the holo... ahem..

Just to add to this, in the past week and a half or so, I've seen another 7-8 people I've never seen before walking around with LVAs or with pike tags. I used to acknowledge anyone I saw with a polearm, now I barely even notice anymore.
