Pikeman : The only class that couldn't hit the ground if they droped their weapon.
Pikeman : Doing massive damage; to the air surrounding our target.
Pikeman : You're dead meat, unless you happen to be standing in front of us.
Pikeman : Because the devs were one profession short.

Short term question ...


Is it possible to provide pikeman with an immediate x percent reduction in special ham costs in thepatch 7? (while they address all the other issues at hand with the class like accuracy, toughness, range, class vision, and so on)

First off WOW! to the fact that we were picked, Great work sneaking in there and getting a spot Gun(pike)man


Secondly I forget who siad it but they had an excelent point..something to this extent...


......Since we are the lowest in pouplation as far as professions go, do the Devs think there is a reason for that? People will move towards any professions no matter what it is, as long as its working right, and kills things darn good.Theres a reason no one wants to plays as a Pikeman, they are not a viable professoin to play. Along with this, wouldn't be a better solution to fix professions like Pikeman that are truly broken, rather than tweak other professions that are doing well.


Ok now my questions...man there are so many so hard to choose..weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee


#1 What is the point of the In-Concept threads on the Professions, it seems like it defeats the purpose of correspodents, and is asking questioons that we and everyone else gave you anwsers to last month, 2 months, 3 months, and 4 months ago, that still havn't been addressed, anwserd, or fixed....


#2What makes us unique or special, when the Swordsmen can attack an unhealable pool, the Fencers can apply tons of states, and the Teras Kasi can regenerate their wounds and remove diseases? Right now our special ability is being the swish-master (someone elses but I liked it)


#3 What was the reasoning behind giving Pikeman who have some of the worst defense's in melee +block+ for CoB? Block still give us damage where as other melee's completely get to avoid damage, and have better defensive mods.


#4 What the rationale is behind our hit3 being 3x vs. every other melee'ers 4x. Also with are PolearmHit3 it has posture change, this would be nice if the old Knockdown move rule were applyed, but we have other Knockdowns, and if we use them, then use PolearmHit3 the mob will stand right up...is there any chance of fixing this or adding a different bonus to PolarmHit3, maybe a random pool bleed...


#5 You, the Devloperrs,(Q-3P0) reconized the negitve numbers on our weapons accuracy a long time ago, and comments were that you didn't like them, and was an issue in the crafting of them. Why has nothing been done yet about this. #6 What does the dev team have in store for Pikeman other than what we will get from the combat pass?(Not mine but I like it)


#6 We have specials that are copy cats of each other why? And are we going to have that change. ie Spin, Area attack.


#7 Why does this game have to be so group orrientated?


#8 Since StGabriel is such a nice guy I add his Q...*looks up*


#9 Damage Midigation.../sigh...well this one hurt us...why put ina system that hurtsaProfession that already has issues with daamge output, speed, HAMs, and accuracy? We have some of the biggest rangesin damage with our wepons min-max which is what Damage Midigation is calculated with, so we take a huge reductioinin damage like 30%I think, where most every other Professioins, takes 10% or so...comments please...


#10 Ok last one...think hard CLab...can we please get a move in our skill tree that allows us to stick and push our target. Meaning they 1. can't move, and 2. are push in to our best to hit range. It is very easy for ranged Professions to kite us by just running away, this would help balance that, and add a uniquness to Pikeman as well. No, or yes its possible, and Why, or why not.

I know our fixes are paramount, but please try to ask atleast one question to the developers beyond 'the combat patch'... for instance, even if our weapons are fixed, our HAM balanced, block fixed, speacials fixed... our class still lacks 'definition'....


how can we be the kd/position change class with a 30 second timer in place, clearly we need SOMETHING else, because they aren't going to change the kd/position timer for us...


if we're suppose to be the area attack class, why are professions like fencer getting area spin, blind and dizzy attacks....


Clearly even with ALL of our issues 'fixed', which again is the most important thing, can the developers not see that we are 'lacking' in something. Sure give us mounts, but that almost requires us to be creature handlers to have mounts good enough to BE 'knights on horses'.. Even if it requires tearing this profession apart and building it back up again.... I still feel after the fixes pikeman will be left the ugly step-sister if we don't pressure them for some definition.


(although honestly this profession has gotten the shaft for so long, even basic fixes will be a god-send)

1) What new forms of weapons/content (In relation to Pikeman)can we expect to see if any? And if you do have plans to add these what kind of ETA could we expect on this?


2) I believe one of the Devs has previously mentioned changing the Long Vibro Axe/Vibro Lance's accuracy, WHEN will you be doing this?


3) Can we expect to see more changes/upgrades to the Pikeman skill tree in the coming months(coming as in the next four), and if so what?


4) What order is Pikeman on your 'to-do list'?

Ask them why they destroy the game bythis ridiculous Jedipublish, a new class, supposed to be rare, but is nowmuch more populous than Pikemen who have been clamoring for help since July but have received nothing.

Yes. Ask them why their developers have time to make a huge change to the Jedi profession after only a few months, but still haven't managed to find the time to help us.

please dont waste our few questions on comparisons.


They will just tell us circular answers. Not to mention they have already answered the last one there. They said they designed combat so that ranged combat classes can beat melee classes (generally). They gave the analogy of a fight between somone with a gun and a knife and said its obvious who should win most of the time.


For the 2nd question I don't care why TKM is more powerfull and we get rebalanced first.

In a lot of cases, anger is costing them $15 a month...

Wonder what the price tag on this decision is going to end up being for SOE.
