Thread: Baz Nitches Are the Way to Go

Saying that buffs are unaffordable is kind of silly I think, the only time you could say they are unaffordable is if you are just starting out, even then it is only a matter of running 5 1k missions, these are soloable by any novice pikeman unless they get unlucky and miss the entire fight. I do agree that it is not reasonable to expect everyone to have super armor, but even subpar armor is still nice and quite affordable, 25% kenetic ubese is fairly cheap.With buffs and the above armor go run 3-5k missions on dantooine, you easily pay for the buffs you got and get good xp and will be able to save some money for better armor. Pet stims and good stim b's do cost a lot of money, but they are not required, I usedon't usepets and don't have novice medic. With the regen rates from the doctor buffs, when I start to get hurt I either run away for a while, or feign death (I know, not an option for everyone). Anyway an average night of hunting for me looks like the following:

Head to coronet get the best doctor buffs : 10k
Ticket to Dantooine (round trip): 2600
Do Huurton Missions at 5-7k a piece (I usually finish 10 of these, sometimes less): 50k profit

so in a given 3 hour period I make anywhere from 30-60k depending on circumstances. I know of others who can make a lot more than that, and if I wanted to go for just money I would run imp missions for 12k a piece.

I do want to say that I am not flaming you or any other post here, I am just stating my general activities on a given night. One thing that is constant in all the "massive xp in a short time" posts is that they all do missions, it is faster if you can just go hunt static spawns, but in the end you can't afford it.

I do agree that these posts should be "no kidding" to most people, but there are new pikeman coming in with some cash and unaware of the best creatures to kill for xp. These posts are not meant to be aimed at the experianced player who knows how to hunt solo.

Darren, I normally dont flame people but.... man werent you the one asking me what fishak was on the other forum thread. The one labled "Tips and Tricks feel free to add to"? You could at least have given me some credit for " your strategy" on how to level pikeman. I mean I gave almost a step by step strategy on how to fight Rancors on dathomir and then you turn it around and act as if the strategy was yours!!!!

Sorry Just bothered me a little bit considering that you didnt know what fishak was 2 days ago. Anyway congrats on the strategy!!!

I apologize. You are right that a lot of this came from your post. I'm not trying to take credit here for anything. I was simply trying to relay what was working for me. You deserve the credit for showing me the way to level much faster than doing those piket missions.

I dont know how Baz Nitches hit, but you get the same effect from Fambaa's on Naboo. 10k missions, and xp is the same.

You can also do Bolle Bol missions for 6k out of naboo, for 3500 per kill and 4k for the lair, two at a time, and a bit easier to handle.

Well you see ... I figure if someone is going to stick it to me I might as well give them an easy target. Especially if they happen to be pikers cause you know well enough they need all the help they can get hitting a target.

ahahahaha

I must /bump this as a public service. I just mastered Pikeman last night, and 95% of all XP I got was from these missions. Boring yes, but after awhile, all wonderfully predictive and solid. I was getting up to 70k XP for two missions as an MCH every 30-40min. And at 11k credits a pop they are worthwhile. Not saying this is the only way, but as a hologrinder who respects this profession I just wanted to confirm it is a worthwhile tactic. Far easier IMO than Tusken Fort. Good luck to you all. Pikeman shall rule one day (and aren't that bad now)

I have been working the Mining Outpost on Yavin 4. The 12k missions that are less than 500m out for Anglers and Klinkik's. They are kinda tough and deathblow sometimes but they give about 3-5k off each and 4-5k on the lair. I have been able to solo these if I play smartly but when I was grouped with 2 others the missions flew by and I made over 750k exp in about 5 hours time. But I am also a Master Doc so Buffs were no problem. I also use Moun Gold, Veneshian Brandy and Fishak as needed.

That is what I have been doing it has worked for me, so do not take this as the gospel of Pikeman.

This is the second time I picked up the Pike skill this time I am going to master it. As of now I am 4|3|4|3.

Not sure if I'm qualified to throw out any tips considering I know the game very little and I've been a Master Pikeman for so little but I never actually fought giant baz nitches until I was at 4-2-4-3 and I didn't find them any fun. I got all the tree up on Dantooine bonking Quenkers until 4-0-1-2 and then moving on to their Savage counterpart, especially after the accuracy patch they're quite the easy target. I fought them wearing a 45% Kinetic Ubese without buffs just the odd Muon Gold if a Piket Protector was nearby and decided he wanted to play or I came in between two Quenker lairs and my favorite crate of B Stims. The only leverage used was the TKA's Powerboost at Meditation 2. Call me insane but I'd take the Quenkers with a blind fold. Oh I almost forgot, I was grouped with my mouse droid all the time for the xp bonus, got 4k per Savage Quenker and at the rate they can be taken out xp rolls in pretty fast.

For anybody who is a bit lower on the scale I can offer this:

Same setup:

Comp armour

Full set of doc buffs

Muon Gold (I needed this just to wear all of my armour)

Tatooine desert:

Fighting feral Banthas (I am lvl 3 pikeman in brawler), and I got 22K in 8 min for killing all the banthas that spawned plus the lair.

1115 per kill and because they are argo they come to you!

Once I was 4244 I was getting the following XP: 4-5k per giant baz nitchmission lair

wave 1) 2 giant baz nitches == max 10k

wave 2) 2 giant baz nitches == max 10k

wave 3) 2 giant baz nitches == max 10k

4) lair == max 5k; total 35k per mission.

This is the highest, theoreticalpossible XP. More often for me it avaeragedaround 4.5k per mob. But pure solo, these bad boys were giving me 5k at times. Good luck all.

Ok, I'm not going to argue about xp and all that stuff but I'll just interject this;

Forget the missions unless you need the cash. Random spawn is so much better.

I went to endor with friends to try out my new scythe blade (man does it rock). Came across an earthen mound. Venom filled arachne spawned from the mound. 4 minutes of killing. 85k xp.

I would really like someone to beat 4mins for 85k xp. The fact is that missions just don't spawn enough critters.

Unless you need the cash, forget the missions.
