The reason i took up Pikeman wasoriganally because i was tired of doing Teras Kasi ,which i did for around 4 months.

but thats not the only reason, i wanted to do all the Brawler skills , and this one for some reason is the best, it didnt do it for the Dots either i really hate them. I mean come on its not really fun to go into pvp with some dude who has 80% composite armor and uses brawler 0 0 0 2 so they can burn your mind and say you suck when really you may have been getting a drink or whatever you could have been doing. But anyway hopefully this will be as fun or better than Tka.

I am like everyone else I like pikeman because there specials look grate. I mean I know this was the profession for me when I first went to Fort Tuskan and saw a master pikeman just destroying groups of sand people by himself and at that moment I new it pikeman was for me.

It was something my guild doesn't have and sounded like it would be cool. I'm still in the brawler section however, which sucks until I can use my LVA. On top of the fact I want to be a defense stacker, so I'm doing master pike, sword, brawler...TKA 4/0/0/4 and fencer 1/0/0/0 which pretty much maxes def. It may not be the best combo for pvp currently, but at least its what I want to do, not because its uber or something.

Why? Kinda easy to say...

I don't really have any other reason to be Pikeman. I am what I want to be. During guild raids, I act asa tank, but when solo, I don't mind being gimped or underpowered. I just love the profession.

And I am going to train it in RL once the holidays are over. biwan:

My alt picked it up for a couple of reasons...

1.) When my main was mastering fencer, I really enjoyed the melee aspect of it. In many ways, I use 1H more than rifle.

2.) When you swing the pikes at night, I like the "trace" marks they make. Looks rather nice. In fact, the first time I saw it, I thought there was a dual-bladed saber in action.

3.) I needed a melee to combo with my main, and I didn't want to do fencer again. Since TKM and Swordsman never really appealed to me, Pike it was.

I'll certainly keep pikeman with the DOT nerf. Heck, I didn't even know about the DOTs when I picked up the prof in the first place!

I've only been master for a few days, but I like it thus far.

Two reason:

A: Very few others have it.

B: Pretty much a garentie that it will not get nerfed. It already is underpowered (My opionon)
