and a decent saber combined with a decent speed, you should beat anyone in MELEE combat. if the mls/md doesnt have that then hes not going to win.this is assuming both sides just smash buttons and dont try to use any technique.
while it isnt easy to beat a mls/md template that has a decent saber, it isnt a clear victory for him neither when you know what you are doing. still i will concede that on all equal terms, (same foods, same saber, same tapes)he does have the advantage simply because defense is the name of the game in the cu.

making root and snare healable would be one thing.
how do you 'heal' someone's foot getting tangled?

roots/snares are like getting kicked in the groin, it freezes you for a while. you wait for some of the pain to wash away then you can move about again. the point being, getting kicked in the groin cant be healed only walked off.

you dont understand the difference between healing damage and a root?
umkay... well.. lets try this:
someone is running beside you, they cut their arm. with post-cu.. some sparklies come flying out of your butt and heals their wounds....
someone is running beside you, they get hit in the knee or ankle, causing them to fall or stumble (root/snare). Now, you could heal the injury, but it will still take them a few seconds to get on their feet. Hence the thinking behind root/snare.
Now, if you're saying you want root/snare affect timers lessened, thats one thing... but I doubt you'll convince anyone to take them out of the game completely.
