I would consider myself a real pikeman. I chose it because its one of the two heavier damage melee professions, which I'm attracted to.. also for the animation, the atmosphere, the Area of Effect attacks, the Knockdowns, because I loved the Long Vibroaxe, etc. I pvp reasonably frequently.. I hate using DOTs but I admit to using them fairly often. I dont have anything too awful, one 253-strength mind poison.. but that's basically it. I always try to kill via damage first though, and since I'm nearly speed-capped I can usually do fair damage as long as I'm not intimidated and stunned, even without an uber 1200-max LVA.

ok im with ya. dots suck...but guess what? who gives a holly flip. i dont like em...vaca here can vouge for me lol huh bud? he owned me so many times with dots i quit duelin him......but if we talkin about dots lets talk about Cm and Riflemen eh?? IMO they r worse then pikemen..
P.S. if u dont like dots...stay away from pvp...or duel with non dot pikemen or non pikemen players..
and also if you want to do damage then go fencer....huge DUH there...and btw pikemen r uber in pve.( i know cus i was a pikemen)
one last thing: pikemen are a prof then depend on dots in pvp and uber Max Damage pikes, and if you want to fight without dots do a no armor duel.
i'm still with u though. i dont like dots..but guess what i did?? I DEDNT DUEL..and im perfectly happy with that. i am a big pve guy now (sorta) and that gives me lots to do..the game is not centerd around pvp. its centerd around multi player events and guilds and team hunts and w/e.
and vaca how u liken that pike i sold ya??

Precisely. No one likes DOTs but its highly lame to say someone who uses them is not a "real Pikeman."

Pikes do not own without dots ... unless yer talking about jedi. I didnt have an uber dot then went pikeman,I went pikeman then got some crappy dots and that kept me happy. Did I take pikes cause of DoTs? No. Do I hate DoTs? Yeah. I wish they were gone and wish pikemen didnt need them. What good is fighting if I dont win in some sort of way?

I always use my 950 damage LVA i hate using DOTS.
if your speed capped u can really do alot of damage with anything u dont need dots. when i go hunting GDKs i use a 480 LVA i bought for 5k works like a charm
(if i only had a ADK id use my 950 LVA all the time)

I'll tell you what type of cm I am, I throw 900 mind poison, I have yet to see a 900 str mind fire pike
there's nothing wrong with dot pikes and people who use them, cm dots on the other hand....

The "Fencer For Life" in my sig is only part of my temp. and you seem to have miss'd the point. The pikeman im talking or the one's who think they pwn because they got like 6 pikes they stack on you then just sit back and watch you die while the fire's tick off of and the poison's, then decide to be like yeah im ownage when you all you really did was switch weapons O_o. When did that become ownage? When did PvP become all about who has the better fire or the better DOT period it's not PvP anymore It's DvD, and yeah a CM is the same thing so you but i can drop a CM pretty quick b4 he can get the stack on me and he doesnt have the deff. mod's as a melee stack'r with uber mind fire. I will admit I use a fire but it's a Health fire at 112 strg. then i use my 620 max 2.0 LVA to bash him down. I was only saying that PvP has at some times lost it's fun you know? And why everytime you say something about DOT's someone always has to say "What about a CM?"
I dont know what kind of CM you are, but my CM can't thro a mind fire O_o
