Not exactly.

I'll hand it to you here:

What you do is go up to the lair(3 piket's and the lair) and you will see that 2 pikets are closer to eachother and one is a bit further away. If you distance yourself correctly, you attack One of the two closest to you(not hitting it, just attacking from a distance, key is to not hit it) and you will pull the second one. The one furthest away is still out of your attack range so you only get one. Once that one is dead, then just do it for the other two untill you have one left inwhich you just kill him, then shake the lair for another round.

it does matter the distance you are from the creatures.

Like I stated before, only 3 spawn. 2 will be close to eachother and the other will wonder off a little bit.

You want to have the 2 inbetween you and the 3rd wonderer.

You will be about 15-20m away from the 2 and you want a good 40-50m from the 3rd.

Now, if you just attack with your pole up either one of the 2 closest to you, you will only grab the other one. The 3rd is to far away to aggro you and the one you originally attack will not aggro you. Now just pull him about 40-50m away from the others and you have 1 to fight.

It will take some practice but you'll figure it out.

Really? Hmm...well its a little too late for that... I just learned that trying to shoot them from a distance doesn't get one's attention... it gets all of their attention. I'll try what you said later.

i do Nym's on lok. they are NPC but they will not group attack you if you attack one, instead they all the other just run from the fight. they have 9-10k ham and are worth 4k or more xp each although i only get 3-4k off them each now that im 4/1/3/3. also the missions for them are worth 16k. i can get about 100k xp an hour here and if im doing more for XP than cash then about 65k credits an hour. so far i have gotten from 2/1/1//2 to my current 4/1/3/3 all while hunting on lok and will continue to so till i hit master which should only take a couplemoredays.

also i think anyone that has and canconsistantly use knockdown can solo nyms if you are spareing withyour knockdowns or havealow cost weapon to apply them with or have some basic medic skills to refresh your ham with in combat.

Thanks for the tip. I've been dying to make cash and xp at the same time. As opposed to Fort Tuskin for xp only and Anchor for creds only.

Nym missions are great.

What polearm would you recomend to do this?

Just regular missions out of the mission terminal on Lok?

yep just about any 16K mission is for nyms, but be sure to check. some are for snorbals and they are ok but avoid the mercinary missions, they are nasty and will agro from way out too.

Benwin, excellent technique. I've been using that for a week or so now, and it works very well for only pulling one. I only just read where you explained it, and I'd like to add a bit:

1. you can do this on any mob/npc who is BAF. ( I pull baz nitches this way )

2. I prefer to use /taunt. even though it doesn't do anything, I use it anyway. /shrug oh well.

3. you either have to be outside marksman range to pull w/ a gun this way, or you have to have a melee weapon equipped. (I've been scaling TK lately instead of pikeman, so I have my VKs on)

4. if it doesn't work, /peace and try again. big mobs are worth the patience, so .. um... be patient.

that's all I've got. hope this helps you guys grind more quickly.

also, the poi outside of nashal on talus has some pretty good NPCs who BAF, con yellow/red, and are paired up, so go there and get 3k+ xp apiece.

Doing those nym missions on lok work real great! I just got 2 skill boxes from doing those (Advanced polearm stances, and advanced polearm support) and I qualify for advanced polearm offensive techniques (but that's worthless) and I've made over 100k in credits. I told a swordsman friend of mine who came right away and tried to solo some nym mission... he can't do it! Why? Because he can't knock them down... so I let him come with me and we did the missions together and both of us still got 1-2k of xp a kill.... But the fact that we have a knockdown move makes pikeman a lot better soloing a single high level npc.

I've never gotten this much xp in one day, even when I thought I was getting good xp.
