Yeah, they "fixed" nyms this morning. Does nayone know a good place for a 0,0,1,0 to exp? I have sweep but thats it. picket longhorns take 10 minutes atleast to down one, even when I'm hitting for 500 a hit. They seem to ignore the fact I've knocked them down, too, and start beating on me.

yeah, I'll second metroid... I'm almost at (0,0,1,1) and on Corellia, there's not much I can solo at all. There's an animal called the Devil Guniglaw (or semething like that), it cons yellow to me, has 2k of hitpoints... and rewards you with 1.3 xp. Those are really sweet for me, but they're too sporatic and random to find regularly. everything else is either way too hard (death) or way too easy (100-200 xp per kill).

anybody know any good creatures to solo at this level? it'll be really helpful since I'm kinda running out of steam. I almost have knockdown and almost have Action hit 1. can't wait until then.

Hmm

My friend and I decided to give those Nym missions another run this morning too and we were sure surprised...they assisted each other! So after we died we aborted our missions and went to Dantooine... and I was finally getting good xp and good money!

Dang sucks nyms dont work anymore, I just tried it and died. I have a question for you, do you use a sweep stick, like a wooden staff or reinforced combat staff for sweep? If so which kind? I had a pretty nice rcs but it disapeared and now im looking to really get a good one. Anyway I'd like to hear some stats on these.

I had a difficult time soloing anything of note......until I got our action bleed attack. Combo that with the sweep knockdown, stun hit, and multiple leg hits, and time when to knockdown again before the mob recovers, and you'll do well. Before getting those tools it's awfully tough to take down big stuff.

I've found actionhit 1 is ok for long battles against a strong opponent but other than that, I've haven't found it all that usefull (except when the guy you are killing begins to run away when he is nearly dead and runs through a group of agros where you wouldn't want to follow him). I'm sure actionhit 2 will be good but I just got advanced polearm support and it takes a long time to accumulate that combat xp. At least I got one good day against those nyms... got myself one advanced, one expert, and advanced polearm support skills.

Maybe I'm a putz, but I'm having serious troubles using sweep correctly. I'll sweep a creature, it'll fall down,I 'll hit them 3 times, sweep again... here's the problem. It's 50/50 wether it actually takes effect. When it works, they'll fall downa gain, when it doesn't, I do damage, but they don't fall ? Is this because they resisted the knockdown effect? Or what? All I can say is, becuase of my current armor and skills, if a red craeture hits me twice because knock down isn't working for some magical reason.

If you do damage and they do not fall down as far as I know, they are resisting the knockdown effect. We have skill modsfor devense against knockdown, why not have the higher level npc's have them? I've noticed that my sweep knocks lower leveled npcs down more often then higher level ones... in fact, some of the lowest leveled ones always seem to fall down when I actually hit (dang polearm accuracy! Can't wait for master polearm support).

As far as i've seen this is totally correct. Ive been spending alot of time at Fort Tusken. Cant tell you how many times I'll be in the middle of a group of Commoners with a chief, only to start throwing Sweep2. the result4 times out of5 is all of the comoners fall on their backs while the Chief is dishing out the damage. Of course this only is effective when u have a medic/doc healing you. But in summary, it appears the higher mobs have good reistance to the KD (but they do take damage).

I always like to go to Fort tusken but the only problem is that you don't get any money from that... I mean I am still pretty much set with money after lok but now I am making very little income right now... but then again I don't need the money. Fort tusken is very good for xp (the best I've found so far because there are a ton of tuskens). I go there nearly every other day (sometimes more).

Those pikets that were mentioned earlier as a good way to solo seem to have a high resistance to knockdown... does knockdown 2 work any better in knocking down or does it just knockdown an area and that is the only thing better about it?

p.s. Should I master stances or should I get expert defensive techniques first?

I use that pulling method and it works on everything. All you do is attack one from maybe 15m away and the others around will try to protect it if they are close enough. This is why if you attack one with a blaster 2 or more come.

I use this same method on dewbacks, it is quite easy. The only problem is you need to practice it to figure it out for your self. It is kind of like juggling, i could tell you how it works all day but until you do it for a day and see for yourself you will have no clue on how it works. Put some effort in and try it, if you have to clone yourself and figure it out. About 10% of the time i fail but that is still a good portion of the time getting good xp without doing much against hard mobs.
