Not only is Dragoon already in the game (Nightsisters), it would be the coolest and unique tag in the game.

Agreed. Dragoon gets my vote, Halberdier 2nd. Heavy Cleaver sounds more like a swordsman title.
Striker is right out, cause like someone else said earlier, that would imply that we actually hit things.

No, it wouldn't. It sounds weird... And like many people mentioned, it has a connection to mounted combat. And in the thread in the concept forum (you know, when it was on us to decide how we would like our professions) many people have said they DON'T LIKE THE MOUNTED COMBAT IDEA. And you would to like to give us a title that is closely connected to it?
On the other hand, it really sounds gay. And sorry, but I don't want to look like gay.

Heres the top ideas to replace the "Heavy Cleaver" title:
1) Lancer
2) Dragoon
3) Striker
4) Halberdier
Please note this is just a voting thread, please leave the number of the name you with to vote in a post below....if you wish to discuss the issue more, please create another thread.
Thanks!
OK, I like Lancer, but make it Lanceman or Lancewoman. A dragoon was an infantryman who rode in on horseback but fought like an infantryman because they primarily used a carbine or a short musket called a "dragon", so I don't think Dragoon fits what we do. Striker sounds too generic. Halberdier also sounds nice, though I would make it Halberdsman or Halberdswoman.
All-in-all, I vote #1 and #4, with changes above. Thanks for the idea for the post!

I think Dragoon is an awesome title, but it sounds a little too FF.
Something everyone needs to realize is that Final Fantasy did NOT coin the term Dragoon.

I know that the FF series of games did not spawn the name "dragoon" but unfortunately most people, me included, associate dragoon with FF. Sadly i wasted my youth playing video games and reading about people that have been dead for hundreds of years.
Oh well, years of practice for my adulthood...
