Thread: Recursive macros are being removed!

Thank you SOE! This is definately good.
So what, you'll have to remake your recursive macros into long macros, big deal! Just get over it. It's not THAT much of an inconvenience. If it is, you're a sad person. Same thing goes for anyone who has a hard time with pressing an F# key every now and then.

Here's one for all you 24/7 nerds out there who have mommy bring you your dinner cus you have no life and can't get your butt off your chair to experience the REAL world....real people don't have time to sit in front of the computer 24/7 so we go AFK and grind dancer or musician SO WHAT! If YOU don't like it don't play (sound familiar), we enjoy the game and decided this was something we wanted to try (regardless of the reason) so we try it and do it in a way that won't take 6 months to accomplish (what's the point in that)...there are hundreds of thousands of people playing this game and everyone is not going to like everything about the game but for crying out loud shut upwith whining at other players and what you don't like that they do....we have enough to worry about with all the retarded desicions the devs make on a day to day basis to screw the game up....my two cents ( and Beery don't respond, your annoying and trying way to hard) HAVE FUN PEOPLE...CLASS DISMISSED!
P.S. And to the new players...I was playing this game when we had to walk from destination to destination, no vehicles no mounts nothing but your feet...imagine what that was like (just an example at how silly it is to get mad at what other players do in the game)

Whining? Whining? I don't see any atk entertainers whining. We're all quite happy, actually. The devs announced the removal of recursive macros, and I did hear a lot of whining, but it wasn't from us.

If you don't have free time in your real life, you really shouldn't be playing this game then. The game is intended to be PLAYED. AFK'ing is not a playstyle.
Look, is it really that important for you to level up? You can't have fun with the little time you have? The only way for you to have fun is if you're up in a higher level. See, what you need to do, is just stop AFK'ing, play the game, and enjoy it. So what, you aren't progressing fast, but that's the thing, this game isn't about leveling. Sure, you can level the whole game if you want, but what's the fun in that? There's a lot more to this game than you know.

But was that whining unjust? No. A large group of players felt abused, and they wanted it fixed. We aren't in control of the game, so the only possible way to get something fixed, is to ask, or, whine.
This entire game is ina crappy state because of UNJUST whining. The whining that's been going on here has all had good reason behind it.

I'm sure most of you have noticed how that initial announcement has mysteriously disappeared.
Getting rid of the evidence?

Thanks for coming into the forum and claiming we were whining about recursive macros, when we weren't. People complained about buffbots and zombies, sure, because they are unhealthy for the game. The most common suggestion was something like an ID interface. The devs decided to remove recursive macros, all on their own.
There is still a thread for discussing this in In Development. Cry cry cry, they're still going to do it.

Beery I knew you would respond with something that would make me laugh hysterically....THANK YOU!!! You must be a politician in the real world (or maybe mommy does bring you dinner) because your trying so hard with your comebacks to be clever it makes you look stupid...meaning, your not good at being clever. I guess all those years of watching Dawson's Creek has given you a new vocabulary....WAY TO GO! And now your going to call me an idiot because of my screen name and a troll because...well who the hell knows where you got trollspeak and calling people trolls (guessing your whole life is fantasy land...star wars, lord of the rings, etc.)...no wait, she called me a troll....SWEET! Well anyways! The "removal" as I call it (thank you Beery) I could care less about...the only reason I posted here is to put my two cents in and I did so which of course Beery (there is always at least one wannabe clever person in the forum) responded to make me laugh, which again I thank thee.
I'm already a master musician and I did itbeing AFK 75% of the time (OH MY GOD....YOU **edit**) If I want to buff people no I don't have a macro for that nor will I use a macro for that....but if people do that oh well such is life. For my master pikeman going to Dathomir and seeing the always present Master musician and dancer (BUFFBOT....AHHHHH!) there for me to buff is a blessing. From a musician standpoint, oh well I would go somewhere else if nobody wanted my buffs...from a warrior standpoint its a beautiful thing to always have someone around to buff you. It goes both ways people so stop whining.

How about we all cut the personal attacks and sarcastic comments and discuss this in a bit more civilized way, and that applies to both sides of the argument. Beery, atacking people gets the argument nowhere, wolf, straker, and any others that have responded to her, ignore that kind of post or you're just as bad as she is.

Jenden, Iam completely positive about the thread title, and just as happy as NewJedi wasabout the changes thathe was excited about. But some folks couldn't let the thread alone. Other people came here trolling and flaming. This is the first time I've been berated for defending a thread against rampant trolling.
Also, I'm a bloke, not a woman. Just FYI.

I'm happy to see the recursive macros going away too, and am always up for some good arguements, but I think you're getting a bit too irrational with them.

Hehe, irrational. There's another first. I've been called a lot of things, but never irrational. Please let me know where I've exhibited irrationality. I'd be interested to figure out where irrationality crept in. My personality type (INTJ - see http://www.typelogic.com/intj.html)doesn't really tend toexhibit much emotionality when writing, so it would be interesting. INTJs' dry sense of humourcan be mistakenlyregarded as arrogant, but they (we) are not usually seen asirrational.
My icon reflects my in-game character. I'm sure people with Wookie icons aren't really wookiees. I'm pretty sure you're not an R3 Droid, lol.
