What do musicians need or want?
Songs flourishes that actually sound OK, or better yet, able to combinable to sound like a song.. Right now the flourishes sound very much like a hodgepodge of junk.. There are only a few combonation of flourishes in each song that can be played back to back that sound feasable.. I personally would like to see Master Musician's have the ability to make their own songs.. Using NOTES, and not flourishes.. Give us a 1 minute time frame graph that allows us to customize and make our own short songs..
Insturments need to be unique in looks and sound.. Currently too many instruments sound close to others.. We have NO string instrument in the musician free, which is a oversight I feel.. and I wouldn't mind more horns like a trumpet sound, NOT the clarinet sound.. Can someone say drums? Granted we have the Naragon that can sound like carribean steel steel drum, but no actual normal percusion instrument..
Buffs if a big bonus, but currently not live and should be soon..
MOST inmportant of all is the bogus BS missions that a Master Musician gets .. Sorry, but I feel that for the SOE devs to give a MASTER MUSICIAN the max ability to accept a 150 credit local mission to play is the biggest retarded blunder of all..... Novice Entertainers can take the same missions as a Master Musician.. ???? If SOE did thiswith destroy missions there would be such an outcry that it would send tremors thru the galaxy.. So why did they have the same value of reward for Master Elites as they did with Novice starters.. NOT fair , nor is it an incentive to become better..
Musician's should be able to make 1,000's more then a novice entertainer in missions with Master Musicians being rewarded anywhere in the ballpark of 500-5,000 per mission.. Missions is ONE of the biggest flaws right now in the Entertaining field.. This needs to be addressed.. People need to pay for their house and whatnots, and playing in a cantina for tips and 150 credit music missions aren't cutting it.. Most Entertainers had to resort to destroy mission to make a living.. FIX the mission and get us Musician's back INTO the hotels and cantina's and off the streets..
Actually one thing I wouldn't mind seeing added is "Steet" players in the cities.. If you are an Entertainer playing in the streets you should be able to treat BF at a 50% rate as compared to being in a Cantina.. and not treat wounds.. Just BF alone.. This would add for a little extra pizzaz while waiting for the next shuttle. or just hanging out at the mission terms..

Gah, I neglected to include this on my list of bugs in the current version of my "State of the Profession" post. I'll make sure it gets added to the bug list I give the devs. Thanks for the reminder.
FWIW, I've never had this bug. You can't play at all, ever? Or does it depend on the song or instrument?

I'll agree with the song - but it just doesn't make any sense the mandoviol isn't included too. I know they were looking for filler for the master entertainer box - but by golly - dancing and hair styles have NOTHING to do with whether you can play a song or an instrument - and if you've plugged ALL the way thru master musician - you should be able to get it there as well.
This is my only real pet peeve with musician - and it's cause it just doesn't make any good sense.
Master musicans and dancers earn the least amount of money compaired to any other master lvl prof.
I would like to suggest that mind bufftimes be lowered to help this situation out. Docs can buff themselfs why not musicans and dancers? That would greatly increase the utitily of the profession. How about buff times get faster the higher up the professon you go?
We also need some sort of UI on buffs to tell what is happening. Waiting for audible pauses just is not a good solution.
I encourage anything that would make the class more useful in the field. I think a great idea is to give high level musicians the ability to raise up players incapped due to mind. This would benefit everyone because I know everyone has been ticked off having to wait forever just to get up from a mind incap.

3. More Instruments. (It'd be nice to have some bass instruments--string, percusion, and brass.)
Docs can buff their health and action, not their mind. So they can't help themselves be doctors better. I'm fine with this system.
Nala and Omni bug. I like to see the mind bars of people who walk in.
Lower XP requirements for healing, or more XP/heal.
Is there an ETA on the fix for those "cannot play music any more" musicians.
I wanted to know because Ive talked to ppl that have been waiting for this fix for as long as up to 2 months now.
And I personally need to know, because my subscription ends the 28th this month, and if I cant play my char Iam not going to pay for 3 more months
I dont say this as a threat, but as a "I hate paying to play a game that keeps me waiting for a fix to a bug, that prevents me from playing my char".
I like this game, and I want to keep playing it, but I wont just sit on my @ss and wait for an update that might be months away.
