Im sorry but personally im very happy that ceremonial is under master entertainer.

This makes the song alot rarer and even more special when you become a full time entertainer.

I know you dont like it, but i think its very special for that reason.

Other than that i just want to blow the friggin omnibox and nalargon up when i target someone and i stop playing. I just want to cry sometimes. I mean sheesh.

Ok 2 cents

Dear fellow Musicians,

Could you tell me what your #1 issue is for the Musician Profession? Please don't give me a long list; just name your top issue. The devs are starting to engage us Correspondents more actively, and it would be helpful for me if you could give me some up-to-date feedback on what you think we need most.

Thanks!

The top issues are as follows:

Nargalon targeting bug

Omni Box Trageting bug

Small taverns/cantina can not be Registered as having an entertainer at them.

While AFK is an issue, its not a bug, these are bugs. The 1st two of which we have asked to be fixed since BETA!!

I have been master musician in beta and soon as the game went live I went after mastermusician. I love playing music LOL.

I have a short list here goes.

1) The targeting of nalargon and ommni please fix.

2) Ive said it in beta and same now...give back the mando and ceremonial, master entertainer is a waste of points I wouldnt be able to make a living if I were forced to master that.

3) I would like to see more content.

4) When I have the band going and am doing bandflourishes I would like to be able to flourish everyones lights also...would look so cool. Like .../bandflo 8 nalargon firejet....get the idea?

Thanks for letting us have a place to dream

Special for Master Entertainers, but not for Master Musicians. Believe me, I understand the rationalization here... but it's like giving a Droid Schematic to a Master Artisan that a Master Droid Engineer cannot make.
I was alright with it for a while (I've been a Master since June) but it's finally gotten to me.

I absolutley agrre about the **edit** target issue though.

There are many issues they could work on for musicians, most of which have been brought up repeatedly (which is good, because ther will be a greater chance of fixing those). This one, though, I think I've only seen mentioned once: Instrument construction.

As it is now, an instrument that's experimented up to, say, +80% is just as good as an instrument that I get a critical failure on. And what is that +80% anyway? The instruments don't have stats at all. It's not an experience increase; I tried playing both. So that's the first part: Give the instruments stats to experiment on, like weapons and food have. Maybe an increase to experience for one stat, a lesser Action cost for another. You know, make the experimentation actually mean something.

The second part of this is customization. We should be able to make the instruments different colors, or put on differently shaped parts, like the muzzles on pistols for example.

That's my number one thing, but I feel it's necessary to weigh in on a couple of other things here, too. The Ommni Box / Nalargon targetting thing is REALLY annoying, especially when leading the group. Second, AFKers didn't really bother me at first, but it has gotten really out of hand now. In a cantina with 10 entertainers, 2 or 3 are actually there. And what do you do if you've been in a group for awhile as the leaderand suddenly realize you're the only one who isn't AFK now, and you have to leave? Transfer the leadership to an AFKer? How will anyone else get in after you leave? I know, just /disband the whole group. But then you've got 9 individuals playing and 1 person who just walked in that's actually there. Are people who need healing going to target that one person, or just whoever's closest?

Okay, that's it for me. If you're on Sunrunner, come and see Lou at the Coronet Cantina! No cover charge!

More songs and different sounding instruments = more active players too.

I dont know if its been said yet, or indeed if its true.... but the mandovial seems to be available only to master entertainers. Ive wanted once since beta ended ( I was sooo close!) and now it seems I have togrind throughimage design and dancing just to get one! I have neither the spare points nor the time for that... and I know Im whining, but it upsets me.

My top issue is getting the buff bugs fixed and giving afeedback message when we have performed enough to max the duration. The bugs look like they're fixed on the Test Center but there's no feedback.

Nalargon/Omnibox targetting is constantly annoying.

Self-buffing is a big deal for me, I'd certainly like a way to do this with my group when we go out hunting.

I share many of the same beefs with most people who have posted here (AFK performers, lousy money system, homogeneous instrument sounds), however I have a few others. First and foremost, XP gain for musicians is extremely slow. XP requirements for Musician levels is on par with those of combat professions. Healing XP, while its gain is passive rather than the active gain associated with Musician XP, accumulates way too fast. I was working on Musicianship 4 under Entertainer and my Healing XP had capped at 75k already because I played almost exclusively in bands, and I couldn't use that XP for anything because the next blocks that I could use it on were under Musician instead of Entertainer. I suggest a different system of XP gain. When in bands, your XP gain should be related to the quality of musicans around you. Your XP should increase faster if you had a band filled with Virtusi or Master Musicians than if you were in a band of novices working on Musicianship 1. This is true to real life, as I have played trumpet in various ensembles, and I have found that when I was around better musicians, I learned a lot more. On top of this, you should cut the requirements for Musician blocks but 20-30% (those who already have enough XP will qualify for those blocks), or make the XP requirements on par with those of elite medical professions rather than elite combat professions.

Finally, in response to an idea I read earlier, a hybrid Combat Musician (Ranged Support + Musicianship 4 & Ent. Heal 4) would be an excellent idea. This profession would have its own set of songs (who would really want to hear a ballad during combat?), instruments (bugle? BAGPIPES perhaps?, a nalargon would be a pain to haul out to a battlefield), and abilities (H & A buffs that are smaller and shorter term than a doctor's buffs, but excellent Mind buffs). History is rife with examples of musicians accompanying warriors on battlefields, is it possible for SWG? You could also give dancers a new stat like agility which would make them better brawlers. You could make it on par with fencers' Footwork line to make them better defensively, and maybe lower HAM costs for their attacks.

Even without these suggestions, this is still a great, entertaining game. Keep up the good work.

1) narlagon/box target to play has got to go, allowing someone to move it while im playing it has also got to go.people seem to think its funny moving it till it disappears.

2) buffs bugs and not being able to buff self

3) sick of being forced into playing star wars 1 everytime a new player joins the group
mayby split the songs into 2 groups give half to novice entertainer and half into novice musician, just base xp off the instrument being played.(leave the 2 songs at master entertainer and master musician just split the rest)

4) entertainer missions are worthless, Im a master musician/master entertainer and I get better tips from players than what those things give.

5) New instruments and new songs. replace the redundant instruments

other than These issues, Im extremely happy.have mastered close to 8 different professions and out of those Musician/Entertainer has been the most fun.

AFKer's?? New Songs?? how about usefulness outside cantina a song or instrument that heals mind pool (not wound) when not in a camp or cantina, this would open a whole new world for entertain type and give a non-fighting character like me use in a grp.

Get rid of the AFKers. They're killing us, man. It's true. Yes, they are actually sucking the life out of the profession and flinging our collective rep in the toilet. Cantinas are becoming blackholes of AFK drones who don't bother to really BE MUSICIANS! (or Dancers!)

We live and die by our reps, individual and also as a whole. The entertainer classes are social ones. Reputation matters to use unlike any other, except perhaps Politicians... why can't people get this?

"Youmust wait a moment before starting a new song ". This message is my number one problem with the musician profession. I haven't been able to play any music for two weeks. I've opened bug reports a plenty on this one. Please get this fixed.
