Hey, and I had a weird time trying to find it, but here was SOETyrant's post last week:
SOETyrant wrote:
I wouldn't give up now, we have some pretty positive changes coming for all entertainers shortly. We will be posting on this sometime next week. [snip]
So, to be fair, he said they'd be posting on the fact that pretty positive changes are coming for all Entertainers shortly.
*puts on troublemaker hat*
And, he should capitalize the E...baby steps...baby steps...our time is coming...
*takes off hat*

I was thinking that the ultimate insult would have been if a Jukebox was sitting on the stage of the EU Hall in the home show thread. Why do I think of that stuff, I should be looking for the big announcement... That was this week wasn't it? This thread? So who is gonna make this announcement? Will the big announcer please step forward.

I'm officially confused now on two things. No, not the fact the dev team completely missed the timetable they set up. That was, dare I say, more expected than not. But come on, this is a game, it's not like we're paying them to let us know what's going on...oh wait, we sort of are. NM.
First, why does it take so many people to make a short announcement? Let's face it, they're either going to announce new songs/dances (unlikely) promise some new intent to fix on problem (somewhat likely) or announce we'll be turned into a crafting class just crafting ent chips for jukeboxes (very likely). Everyone knows quite well at this point we're not looking for miracles, just a hope that some of our issues will finally be addressed. They've addressed a full set of combat changes from the class, equipment, and new damage table types in a handful of paragraphs. We're not looking for the Gettysburg Address here, Devs
Two, what does the "not ready for public consumption" mean in this game? We've all already fully had the "this is an online game gameplay is subject to change" discussion and actualization in the past. We already know whatever is promised will end up entirely different before it's instituted. I don't think the safety of our troops or public buildings are going to be affected much by anything done in this game. We're the entertainers, remember? There couldn't be a LESS harmful class. Which is probably why it didn't even pop into SOETyrants head to pop a "sorry but plans changed we'll announce some other time" post up.
I know the correspondents are trying to take the blame and keep the peace here, but really, you guys aren't the ones who set that timeframe. Thankfully, the much more interesting notice that they may start dealing with faction base exploits so stop exploiting now came out instead.
Sorry, don't want to sound bitter. It just sounds like everyone is taking their time because they want to market the change to us. And as someone who worked in advertising for many years, all I can say is anything that needs marketed, packaged, and sanitized for the public to consume looses it's appeal. Give me something plain and honest instead anyday.

Ah, see I knew there must have been a reason why I was expecting more than just a big proposal...
"Pretty positive changes coming shortly" is the reason I was expecting some things to come in the next publish for us.
I was figuring they had something pretty much set to put onto test center... something we've wanted or something we never thought of that would make us very happy.
I guess sometimes I get a bit delusional, but at least now (After seeing that quote again) I know why I was thinking what I was.
"Shortly"
I'm not certain that Tyrant really meant that.
"Shortly" definately means in less that 23 days and 7.5 hours.
So I'm expecting these changes within the next 23 days and 8 hours (I'll give them half an hour to add ceremonial to our master box).

You'll see my poston pagethreehas been edited for accuracy...I got my Devs crossed. Chrysalide, not Calandryll, was the one who abandoned the Theater Quest Feedback thread. Sorry, guys!

I heard, and this is just rumor mind you, that with the combat revamp, the Chid horn will become a new type of sound energy weapon.Unfortunately bone armor will have high sound energy resists but most people wear comp so they will be very vulnerable.
Of course the Devs will niether confirm or denie this rumor....

Don't be silly Loniki! That is most definitely patently false. The chid? Of course not!
It was the Slitherhorn.

Slitherhorns are inherantly inaccurate at long range, everyone knows this. It is just silly to think a nov level slitherhorn could ever competewith the long slim deadly accurite Chid
Only the Chid can meet the 99.8 jiggadecible range needed for accuracy at 64 meters.

Heh, now I'm thinking of an 80s show "You Can't do That on Television" where in one episode someone was learning to play the tuba.. And when asked why he demonstrated by blowing a huge spitball out of it.
