Ok, one more addition...

With every instrument crafted, you have the option to name it. I for one name all my instruments after the owner, and some of them get another little nice addon. However, i've named my Ommni box and my Nalargon - but when I "summon" them, it still has the default name...it would be top notch if they could show the customized name when they are deployed.

Also, another thing which isnt as easy and may affect others rather harshly - would it be possible to disallow pet / droid summoning in the cantinas / hotels / theaters? There's nothing more annoying than when you have a good band going with some nice dancers, and people start summoning their rancors and whatnot as virtual you-know-what extenders..

Additions? You never know!

/changekey would make SW1 and Rock more interesting. Don't let novice ents play any song, that would ruin the enjoyment of advancement.

When you look at the in dev section...they're working on entertainer missions. That should take care of gig mission availability.

Now we just need the DANCE DUNGEON (tm). That's right. You enter. There's a stormtrooper...a little footloose sends him packing. Oh no...two more Imps! Formal and dreaded /flo 4!

Seen a lot of great ideas so far, didn't read every last one honestly so this may be a repeat, but one thing that bugs me I'd like to see changed is the wind instruments sounds being so overpowering.

For instance, if your playing rock or most other songs you can't even hear instruments like the Mandovial.

This is really annoying and its a shame because you miss out on such a great sound.

I like the dueling banjo idea. It's a nice idea for an entertainer mission.

And we should also get our own pet... the roadie. That's right. They work like extra-storage pets. Maybe master musicians get...the groupie?

Dancers can get ... obsessed fan who does their every bidding. And master dancers ... bodyguards.

Top issues as i see them:

1. Not enough variety. there should be more songs, flourishes, effects, instrument sounds & whatever.

2. the 2 healing branches really seem to have no point other than taking up skill boxes in order to get master. some benefit in here for the player would be nice

3. The issue with the Omni and Nalgron needing to be targeted all the time. this really interferes with the social aspects of one of the most social professions in the game.

4. Balance master entertainer or get rid of that box alltogether. Puting the mando and ceremonial in there forces someone who wants to have access to all of the songs and instruments to grind out endless hours of dance and ID clicking. both of the dances in Master Ent are variations of other dances somehwere in the dance tree and the ID profession has Nothing in there. That's a lot of wasted skill boxes for 1 song and 1 instrument.

5. make the action costs go down as the character gets better. start it off with higher action cost in the beginning and then make it get easier as you get better. The noob blaring out SW1 on the slither shouldn't be a more efficient musician than the master playing anything. Music performance can be taxing but it gets easier not harder as you do more of it. Also making it more difficult for the noob on the slither it will discourage the self healers who pick up novice entertianer just so they can heal themselves in one of the back corners of the cantina. Another way to do this would be to give stamina/quickness bonuses ans you go up in the musician tree. possibly put these in the healing & BF branches so there was some benefit to taking those.

6. give us reasons to leave the cantina

7. this one should be staggeringly simple to implement so i hope it gets passed along even if it isn't in the top 5: In the information screens that come up randomly while loading create one explaining that BF & mind wounds can be healed in Theatres & Hotels as well as Cantinas. It would be nice to get people both performers and other players to use these otherwise underutilized locations. I'd rather play in the theatre than the cantina any day. However, if I'm ever going to be master i need the healing XP so I end up playing SW1 & Rock in the cantina with everyone else. I've played these places with higher level groups before and it is nice. there's just no audience *sigh*

8. fix the animation for the mando so the player doesn't look like they are impailing themselves on it if they are across the room.

Currently the optimal way to play a musician is not to master either entertainer or musician but rather to get the musician and healing boxes in entertainer and the tech and knowledge branches in musician. this allows you to play the vast majority of the songs out there on all but the 2 unique sounding instruments along with enough flashy effects to keep people happy. Master should be super cool and sadly it isn't. The ability to play the Mando and the Nal and all of the songs is obscenely expensive in terms of skill points.

Honestly how many people working on musician but got master ent just for the mando & ceremonial ever dance or ID people now?

Yeah, the mandoviolin animation seriously needs to be fixed...my hand goes straight through the thing..

As for the issue of Master Entertainer and the Mandoviolin and Ceremonial song, well...i'm one of the Musicians that took the time to get ME as well. Getting the ID skill isnt hard at all, its stupidly simple. Just practice on your fellow musicians / dancers while you recover your action bar.If you play for a couple of hours each day you'll probably have it done in 2-3 days. Personally i did it in 5-6 hours or so...it's not bad.

The dancing tree however did take time But it's worth it. Ceremonial kicks *so* much ass on a Nalargon

It's a pain in the ass to get Master Entertainer, and the rewards you get for it should be worth it. Right now, it truly is. I dont think Ceremonial or Mandoviol should be moved.Just my 2 creds

Emm, I was thinking about the huge 20-man band that has perhaps lots of slitherhorns. Perhaps a command that allows the bandleader to cut the number of slitherhorn sounds from maybe 6 to perhaps 1, or 2. That way we dun have slitherhorns blaring out in a huge flourishing mess. We all know how Slitherhorns can drown out a Narlargon.

/instrumentnumber 2 slitherhorn or something where if they are 3 or more slitherhorns, only 2 would be heard. This can apply to any instrument of course. Just a suggestion.

Instrument crafting - add a quality of the item better quality better exp. Allow for some color changes to instruments. I would love to see a nala with red and silver and blue mirrors or a black ommni box.

Tips - add /tip band ##

Action costs - reduce action costs based on healing skills and mastery. This will make it worth while to take the healing skills rather then just the songs.

Quests - Add scematic quests and song quests to get new songs.

Gig missions - base reward on the skill level.

Instruments - more veritiy of sounds.

Tech - more lights and pyro techincs- lower costs with healing skills and mastery.

**After Mastery**

Seems the xpcap is gone after mastery. I would like to suggest implementing a way to spend those exp points VIA a musicians guild or something. possably to buy scematics/songs, equiment, bouncers/bodyguards.

Here is my list of issues:

1. Each instrument should have a unique sound.

2. Grouptip command. The choice for tipping a group should always be the customer's. Also make this generic so it works for all types of groups.

3. Add ceremonial to Novice Musician and a new song to Music Knowledge II.

4. Add 4 more flourishes per song ( for a total of 12).

5. Add more songs per skill box. (This would solve everyone's gripe about playing lower songs)

6. Adjust the volume of the instruments. The slitherhorn is too loud, while the nalargon is too quiet.

7. Allow us to do crescendos and decrescendos.

8. Allow us to change the tempo.

9. Change the animation for flourish 8 on wind instruments. There is no way to produce a sound if the horn is held away from your mouth.

10. Make the speakers and microphone work. They should allow us to be heard without people having to /listen. This is only for areas where we can't heal.

11. Deny services option.

12. Allow us to attach a macro to an email.

13. Give us the ability to pause for a number of bars between flourishes instead of a number of seconds. This would help to sync up the flourishes.

14. Allow us to display our band or PA name on the Nalargon.

15. Give the masters something on which to spend all this music Exp. (I have well over 600k and it's still climbing).

I think that is enough for now. Any bug in the game should be fixed and should not take up a valuable issue slot. The devs should already know about them and be working on fixes, so I did not add them to my list.

After reading the other posts, my main concern is that too many people are requesting that we let lower skilled musicians play higher level songs. I am totally against this. This will only diminish the value of reaching a new skill level. Reaching a new skill should not be looked upon as a way to gain more exp, it should be viewed as an accomplishment in the profession. I was proud every time I learned a new song, if I had been able to play ballad when I first started, it would not have meant anything to me when I gained Knowledge I. I also find it hypocritical that people are asking for this. We all need to remember, that we were new musicians at one time and others had to play lower level songs for us. Now that we are more skilled, we should not turn around and say that we should not have to play a lower song for the new guys now. I agree that the songs do get tiresome when played for hours on end, but we cannot take away from our accomplishments. We need to solve this issue by getting new songs added, not by letting everyone play every song.

This isn't an issue to do just for the musician, but any entertainer.
Sometimes when I'm performing (dance or music) there are some people that can be really rude. For example, I welcomed a customer into the cantina and he said "**edit** you" for no reason at all. While other people go around bad mouthing the entertainers and wanting to start fights in the cantina. Of course, you can put the person on the ignore list, but that doesn't stop them from being rude and other people hearing it.

I think if you are an entertainer, dance or music of any level, you should have the option on the radail menu to "kick customer". This will take the person out of the cantina if they are being rude. They will then automatically be put outside of the cantina, have to pay a little fine in creds to every entertainer in the cantina, (probably between 50-100 creds) and won't be able to come in the cantina for about 10 minutes.

If people want to start fights, or even duel just for fun, there should be the option on the radial menu to "take it outside". Both participants in the duel will be moved outside where they can finish their duel. No fine will be charged, or no 10 minute penalty, they will just be put outside for the duel and can come inside once it is done.
