As you said, from healing side of perspective, even a novice entertainer can heal pretty quickly.
but As I said, being a FULL musician (For me anyway) is able to master Technique and Knowledge branches and enjoy performing with these ![]()
And with enhanced Fatique and wound healing, I don't think you are required to do anything elseother than performing and getting it's XP along with Technique and Knowledge XPs, I could be wrong.
So, it's NOT like you doing any efforts to earn those Xps...
They may cost skill points that I wish to spend somewhere else(like some artisan skills). but due to the diversity of this game, who knows. Some players may not want to learn any of other branch skills, so they couldspend here...you never know right.
1: For everyones sanity, please make /stopband and /startband bandleader only, ALOT of the newbies doesnt seem to understand that /stop music doesnt work, and keeps doing it every single time. And tells or groupchat seems to be a foreign thing to them - so you have to tell them repeatedly in normal say mode..
2: Unique sounds for all the instruments, it's rather disheartening getting up to the Chidinkalu horn and having it sound the same as one of the first instruments ![]()
3: More songs! More more more!
4: More instruments!
5: More flourishes and tech effects! ![]()
I really like the idea someone had further up in the thread of the /changekey command - that could make some really nice sounding music!
Group tips would definitely be helpful as well.
Oh, and please make the /kick command work - i've tried to remove the eternally afk macroing dancers / musicians a couple of times - not to mention the people that seem to enjoy making fat people - stripping naked and then spamming obscene comments all the time...but the /kick command does nothing, and if you choose kick member from the dropdown list it disbands the entire group...meh!

Top instruments kill a musicans exp and tips here is why
1.When playing the top drop and use instruments people can not target us to heal our action because when we stop playing and set we are like inside the instrument.
2.Worse when playing the top instruments we can not use any socials by targeting a person.
We can not even target and invite people to the group.
Which makes it a lot harder to interact with playes whos names and like gudda'demasta'wong.
3.sw1 24-7 is not only driving us crazt it does the audince as well a lot of players are simply refusing to listen to it which meas the dancers are getting most of the tips.
4. /tipgroup with not loosing the /tip would be sweet.
5. new songs please !!!
6. new instruments !!!
7. Why not let us slice our instruments so they use less action !!!
8. Bonus music and dance and music jewerly
9. Maby once inan hour a master could play a solo and sound like a full band.
10. Please make the bandfill and the ommni box a lot nicer looking I call them a tuba and a sowing machine GROSS when playing these and wearing a nice dress.

Though i know this may bea bit to ask, with more people wanted to form real bands in the game. We should down the line be able to choose basic things to spice up any song. Adjust the bass tempo, adjust the drum tempo, the horn or string tempo and pitch and 'riff' design kind of thing. I think playing music out to be more customizable. It would make it more entertaining for listeners as well as the musicians.
First off congratulations and welcome to your new position NewJedi. Now in reference to your request:
1.)Nalgron and Ommni Box bug: Neither of these instruments can be played if you target a player or anything else. You stop playing, this really hurts for greeting emotes and such.
2.)Extermination with crafting instruments, I have been working on that for 2 days, and testing the new instruments with old one’s with the assistance of several other musicians. Experimentation does nothing. It seems it should maybe raise exp a bit or lower action cost some. However there is no use for it I find.
3.)The /changeband command bug “nuff said”. However I do believe the /changeband command should only work for the bandleader, other wise you could have a change happening every min.
4.)Gig missions, to few, hard to find, and bugged.
5.)/bandtip would be nice, but to many AFK players would benefit from this, and not be deserving. However that should not be a reason to punish the people who are there. Not sure on the correct action for this, but it would help all the lower class entertainers.

Actually Kora yer right if they added more songs, say 5 per skill box...
Perhaps take xp down way low, lower than it would be for playing their current highest song, but not by much. Then only give them half the flourishes on songs out of their skill level.
Like pistols you're not certified on. You can still use them, just not effectively.
1) Different sound (Timbre) for each instrument. It's the pits when you attain that next instrument skill only to find out it sounds just like a Slither or Fizz.
2) Crafting XP for making instruments.
3) More songs.
4) Longer time on the special effects (even a second or two would work). XP for using the special effects. They take a chunk out of the HAM bar, so why not give us a little xp in return and a little more incentive to use them.
5) Fixes for grouping with lower lvl musicians (no ideas really, just needs to be looked into).
Ok.. my top five, in order from most important to least important.
1. Different sounds for each instrument! Like everyone else says - it makes no sense at all to have instruments that look different and have different names, yet they make the exact same sound. Variety, people, variety!
2. More songs, and more songs available to musicians AFTER hitting master. Perhaps gig missions can give us new songs as rewards, and we can get different songs on different planets. Musiciansn real life don't hit "master" and suddenly learn every song in the universe - please make it more realistic and let us continue learning songs!
3. Let us have some way of tipping the entire group - maybe to make sure that nobody that's in the group and isn't playing or dancing doesn't get tipped for doing nothing, the tip would only go to those who were "skill animating." Just a thought.
4. Make gig missions better!!
5. Make instruments decay, or maybe make them need "tuning"? Also, I really like the idea that was posted here somewhere about needing special kinds of material for special instruments. I also think it would be nice if the quality or type of the resources used to make the instruments affected the sound and/or quality and ability to heal. Maybe the instruments made with a certain corellian wood would sound different than the ones made with wood from endor? This probably won't happen, but I'm just throwing the idea out there. =)
Anyway, I really think that number 1 and 2 would make being a musician 10 times better!
As Kronx mentioned, the devs have posted a few items that are "in development" for Musicians. These changes are scheduled to be pushed to Test Center shortly, and then pushed to the Live Galaxies within a week or two. See Q3P0's thread on the subject elsewhere in this forum; it may affect your views on what the top issues are.

Kronx, that's the silliest/greatest thing I've seen. Ok, so it's a bit out-of-class, but how about this:
Missions done "Dueling Banjos" style, where some NPC bets you X credits you can't follow along with him/her. Basically done like Simon, but the flourishes your opponent does aren't identified, so you have to know them pat.

The forum monster ate my post. (actually the board was down and wouldn't post it).
O.k. My issues:
1.) Add ability to change keys.
We need a lot more variety in our songs. This provides a (relatively) simple (in my opinion) way to do this. Since music notes are just frequencies, wouldn't just adjusting the whole song up 100 hertz or so change the key? So each key change, the client just moves the frequencies of the notes being played up or down.
2.) Add ability to play the song the BandLeader is playing (whether skilled or not)
We all know we've put in a lot of time and effort into getting our music. As I went up, everyone else was also going up at the same time. So finding partners was relatively easy. Now though, we're higher-level but new players continue to come into the game every day (and for the next 5 years). So once we've reached our pinnacle, do we now have to say to all the new players in our cantinas "Back off n00b! You and your unworthy Slitherhorn are not worthy to participate in the glory that is my Ballad!"...?...
This has the welcome effect of giving the BandLeader title some more usefulness in that he can control what song the band plays as well. If there are no accomplished musicians there (as it is 50% of the time where I frequent) then it's SW1 for everyone, but if a Master Musician comes on the scene, now we know we're in for some good music! (and I hate playing a song by myself anyway)
3.) More songs / different instrument sounds.
This has been noted to death so I'm not saying any more.
