Thread: What Question for the week of June 21?

Agreed on the entertainer quests, but I very much doubt we will see the Hutt Casino within the next 6 months. So if TH did bring that up as an answer, I would take it as a promise to bring it out this year (and would then very likely be quite pissed off 6 months from now) -at least that would bea tangible answer for once.

But I don't expect a meaningful and/or satisfactory answer even to that question anyway. To me it mainly serves to remind the Devs that we are customers like everyone else and pay the same subscriptionas your average rifleman/CM (not counting the buffbot said rifleman/CM probably has on a 2nd account *sigh*).

P.S.: quick mini-poll: do youthink the Devs would have the gall to state that the Hutt Casino by itself is reason enough to keep up your SWG subscription for an indefinite period?? yes/no?

So, I'm still going with the question I asked earlier. Buffbots are usually alt accounts, and will not be affected by the end of the hologrind. They will continue to take away our business opportunities. What do you plan do about that?

I rather like that one too - at least TH will have to thinka few minutes about how to phrase his "bugger off" type of answer (because let's face it: that's the only type of answer we're likely to get, no matter which question we ask)to that one without sounding too openly insulting

I vote for asking nothing.

My question -

"If a Master Musician only knew 10 songs over the course of a year's time, they wouldn't be very much of a Master Musician, would they? Seems to me that Master Musicians would be writing new things all the time, and especially playing them to keep them popular with their fans. What's the hold up on new songs? A new song every 3 months would be preferable to 6 songs in a year and a half's time - or 1 song in a year and a half's time. In an actual galaxy, by now our music would be resigned to the 1 credit bin to gather dust and be forgotten about. When will we get new songs to play?"

If we ask about new songs, we should specify new songs other than the ones that may or may not be provided by the Theater Manager Quest and the Hutt Casino or he will just say that we have new song(s) with these, imho.

Good point.

How about:

"If a Master Musician only knew9 songs over the course of a year's time, they wouldn't be very much of a Master Musician, would they? Seems to me that Master Musicians would be writing newsongs all ofthe time, and especially playing them to keep them popular with their fans.A new song every 3 months (or some acceptable frequent timeframe) would keep our profession out of the stagnant state it's been in for the past year. Understanding that for the new Hutt Casino and Theater Management Quests there will be a new song from those quests, could we please get some somewhat regular content for Musicians so we don't have to play the same 9 (or wow, maybe 10) songs for yet ANOTHER year? This goes for Dancers, too - we need to keep our entertainment ENTERTAINING! Thanks, TH

/rolleyes

He'll answer whatever question he pleases, and probably not all that accurately either. Lets think about the past record:

Tells us no changes are planned on our buffs because everyone's working on JTL
Tells us they might add the ability for our customers to see if they got buffs, but this would have to wait until after JTL
Tells us there is no chance of getting FS music abilities.

I suspect that even if we ask him about new songs, even specifying that we don't mean any that may or may not be included in THC or TMQ's, he will answer that the Devs are working on making JTL a reality and that they will be unable to devote resources to Musicians until after JTL is out and that we can expect new content in THC and the TMQ's. I'm with JohnMarble on this...there's no point in asking a question becauseTH will repeat the same nonsensehe's given us before--no, Musicians aren't worth our time right now, we want to make JTL good, haveanicelifebye.

It's not how I'd like it to be, but it's what he's given us to work with in the past. I don't see how we can expect anything different in the future.

Well, like I said in my post above, I don't think it will do a lot of good to ask him anything, but this question phrased this way is the best one I've seen yet.

Hey, I'm all for boycotting the question, too. I worry that it will just be left out, so no one will even know we submitted anything, though. I'd like this question asked of TH and the "Devs" of legend who supposedly work on this game:

"We'll beat you to it - After JTL, After the Jedi Revamp. Maybe. No way. We don't know. We'll think about it. AHHHH, that's out of the way, now here's a question from which the answer will be about as useful as those already stated above - What planet is the city of Theed, Naboo located on?" Thank you for brushing off the needs/concerns of An Empire Divided for a minority of players onevery server (Jedi),and for an expansion pack that was NOT supposed to take resources away from this game. Save your breath on a response. Just like the other answers, we've all heard it before."

Ooh, ooh! NewJedi I change my vote to this one! hehe. If only it had any chance of making it to the actual list of questions...

I don't mind if people change their votes; I'll just count your last post in this thread as your final vote. (No ballot-box stuffing!) I'll ask whatever question gets the most support here, whether it's about theaters, or if it's no question at all, or the Theed question. Still not sure when precisely it's due, but I'm assuming no earlier than Monday and probably later.

One dumb question about the Theed question: Shouldn't it say "What planet is Theed on" rather than "What planet is Theed, Naboo on"? Or is it supposed to be in the same vein as "Who's buried in Grant's Tomb?"
