And a great correspondent you'd make, for sure. The "Grecat twins" have definitely been an asset to Corbantis. I've enjoyed the entertainment you've provided all over the galaxy. SOE couldn't make a better choice.

I feel Jon-Ari would make an excellent correspondent.


His popularity aside, the man is exceptionally intelligent and has a real knack for seeing 'the way things should be', then articulating it into words that are clearly understandable, yet also captures his enthusiasm and passion for entertaining and helping others.


He's been a leader on the Corbantis server for quite some time (as evidenced by his overwhelming support by Corbantis entertainers and clients alike), and a position like this would be an ideal next step for him. Give himthe opportunity to be your advocate to SOE, I think that you'd be hard-pressed to findanother personwith Jon-Ari's qualifications.

Actually the devs do the deciding based upon the volunteer's participation in forum discussion, testing and game play. Player popularity has nothing to do with it.

  • Are you knowledgeable about the Musician profession?
  • Are you a community leader?
  • Can you objectively identify relevant issues and distinguish them from simply passionate arguments?
  • Do you like organizing information and corresponding with other members of a community?

I must've missed the part about them needing to be accepted within your forum clique to apply. My apologies.


I'm sure there's a good candidate out there though. Best of luck to whomever among you receives the position.

Not that i'm applying.... as i really don't have the time to commit to something like this or feel that i have contributed in a great way to this forum, however if we, the players, got a vote i'd vote for Warryyr (Atlantiss, Infinity)

If we do get votes then I too vote for Warryyr as without question he already has a handle on the issues that face us entertainers and is usually very eloquent about the way it is expressed without beating about the bush (Kyorlana, Eclipse)


If I wasn't going to be leaving SWG in a month or two, I'd cast my vote for either doasa, lilo, or warryyr. (Warplex, server undisclosed)


Hmm....yeah, but if they're going to be leading the forums, I'd hope it'd be someone who's at leastdone a decent amount of postsin the past few months.(Warryyr, Starsider)

Onlytowards the type of response that is being given to Corbantis for the same type of behavior which preceded our support. It's hypocritical and unappreciated.


If it really has nothing to do with the support posts, then you really have nothing to worry about from anyone who shows up in support of any candidate.....be it from Corbantis or any other server.

Apparently from the reactions of some of this forum's regulars, it appears to have something to do with selecting someone that can take all of your collective (not-so-well disguised expletive deleted) and still attempt to combine it into a cohesive and viable statement to the Devs, so that they can actually make some progress improving the game while the remaining armchair correspondent wannabes practice their sarcasm inbetween AFK macro loops.


If any of the forum regulars here think they can do the job, then step up and apply instead of attempting to crap on the enthusiasm of someone else and their support team.


Best of luck to whoever gets the job. You seem to have your hands full here.

as for the post above me, i'm quoted ... for refrences sake, I applied as well, but I do feel that war would do a great job and thus voiced it...


as has been said (and i stoped reading to a degree) this isn't a popularity vote and I think the general points I've read is that many know and like war, and that we have many good people to choose from.... I don't think this is a server related thing nor something we should argue about simply many posting support to canidates.... really our support iI doubt will be a big factor and I highly doubt (from reading this forum since its inception) that anyone was "bashing anyones support"... sometimes the words don't read as indended is all and I think this has gotten out of hand.


whoever is chosen has a big task to forfill and a large group of a variety of players to represent. Its a hard job regardless of who is chosen since they represent everyone weather or not they agree with the community.


My best suggestion is to turn this topic which has spun from its purpose into a what we can do to help the community one... ideas that the new core might implement that we haven't seen or used to see that can help us represent ourselves best and help ourselves best... that is the core purpose of this board and the correspondant program
