Basically what everyone else had listed above, more music, instruments, flourishes, etc.

An idea: Since there is a special quest for Armorsmiths for the RIS armor, why not give the same thing to Musicians, the quest for the, well, music piece that can heal twice as fast, does more than double the stats on a buff, etc etc, but for only MMus. Or perhaps an instrument? Both? (If this was mentioned before, my apoligies, I'm a tad lazy to read the previous posts, well, most of them :smileytongue

1) self buffs - The inability to do this makes the ability to buff completely useless for a combat profession/musician hybrid and I will likely be dropping musician shortly because of this.

2) buffs take too long - I've heard varying times as for how long it takes to buff people but whatever the number, they are all too long. It should be 4 min for /setperform and 10 minute for a group buff.

3) spam from AFK'ers - Not anything against people being AFK musicians as I don't see that hurting the profession, but not being able to hold a conversation in spatial most definatly hurts the profession.

4) new songs/instruments - Especially instruments, I mean there isonly 1 string instrument in the game and it's not even in the musician tree.

5) content - Even though this might be more important than all the others this is the one issue least likely to be fufilled. The lead developer of this game is a guy from some MUD games and has a stick up his butt about player content. He expects that we, the players, are suppossed to be the sole developers of content. This being the case don't expect any new content from the devs.

#1 - Balance the musician exp to match the entertainment healing exp properly. With the grinders always in the cantinas it is hard to get enough healing exp to go around. This isn't their fault, but it still is causing an issue for ALL of us. I'm going to hit 900k of extra musician exp easily before I have enough healing exp to master.

#2 - SELF BUFFS! It's crazy to think that we can't even buff ourselves. That and we need buff messages and a buff meter or buff times since they take so painfully long.

#3 - More songs!

#4 - Allow us to register planetary locations for outpost cantinas like the science outpost on dathomir, which the register location function is TRULY needed!

#5 - Fix the floor instruments. I don't even use my ommni box because if you accidentally target anything else you stop playing, and often I randomly stop playing. No problems when using any horn. Also, you can use other people's ommni boxes, which is annoying when you have someone else sit right on top of you, making it harder or impossible for a wounded player to target me (thus making it harder to get the above healing exp)

#6 - Make it a mortal sin to whine about AFK'ers in-game. 99% of entertainers are AFK because the profession has grown boring with all the grind, and beause they didn't want to be there in the first place. Does that mean they have no right to be in the cantina? Of course not. It means they are victims of a poorly designed system and they are doing their best to get in and out of the way. I would like to see the FS unlock system changed. I know this won't happen (the brilliant dev's took months to figure out the current geinus method...) but I feel I should voice my opinion anyway.

#7 - Why do entertainer missions even exist? Comeday value when opening a terminal? Either dump them or change them.

Everything seems to be covered already but let me beat the horse once again to make sure its dead...

1. MORE SONGS- I'm well aware of copyright issues, but I'm also aware you have a fairly large treasure trove of Star Wars Music you have to work with. Incorporate it! (For example as a sister song to the waltz, how about "Across the Stars" in band format? Addition of more up beat songs (can someone say Cantina Band #2 and Lapti Nek for starters?)

2. MORE INSTRUMENTS! We have enough horns and drums, how about some more strings and such? Make each instrument sound unique! That way when all combined together in a complete band, it sounds totally awesome!

3. More Master content! C'mon I've been a Master Musician for months and apart from the few parties my band gets invited to perform at, there's not much else to do. The Entertainer professions are the professions that have the least personal benefit attached to them. That should be changed!

4. Nalargon/Ommni targeting issue, this should be a snap fix. I would like to be able to interact more with my audience and be able to look at them instaed of looking sideways all the time while on my Nalargon.

5.AFKer's: They need to get flushed out of the Cantina, the big city Cantinas have become a wasted venue for the REAL entertainers. They are nothing but collections of people attempting to get overnight what a lot of people, like myself earned in a month playing live. Frankly the whole holocron profession grind should be done away with but more specifically with the entertainer professions. AFKer's should be allowed in game, but there needs to be some way to tag them or something (not just (AFK) cause some are AFK without that tag) so the live musicians do not get overlooked.

6. Some certain way to perform a Buff and know its been done properly. Doctor's have diagnose, we should have something similar. Buff time should take no more than 5 min.

7. Master Perks, goes along with content. Cause right now being a master musician for some only is a big deal for a short period of time. Then they lose intrest cause its so repetitive (the songs and such).

8. Band perks, How about a little credit to the few going the extra mile to make the profession as good as it can be with what we have? Guilds with their own bands should be able to register them in some fashion, giving the band a little more publicity.

9. Better pay. An entertainer should be able to make more money. On top of that depending on their level they should be able to make more money on top of what a baseline entertainer would make. This is applying to the entertainer Missions and Mission terminals. Just cause we can't fight well doesn't mean we should be the galaxy's poverty group.

Thanks for your post, Jon_Ari, and don't worry about beating dead horses. Even if your issue has been covered here repeatedly, I'd still like you to post your own list of top issues because I need to "count the votes." In particular, I need to see which issuesare cited most frequently at the highest level of priority. So keep'em coming, folks.

1. SELF BUFFING- Holy crap, put this in PLEASE, even if only masters can do it.

2. Content- I don't need to explain this, do I? Just add the stupid instruments / songs / flourishes/ etc already that keeps getting promised. If not, tell us when to expect them. Master-specific content helps too.

3.Fix Nal / Omni Targeting Bug - This one's pritty self explanatory. Fix it.

4. Move the Mandoviol / Ceremonial into the Musician column - This is the only reason so many people have master entertainer...why?

5. Did I mention SELF BUFFING?

1 - More sounds for current instruments (Don't need more instruments if we give each their own sound)

2 - Return XP to bandflourishes and fix the bug where not everyone is effected by /changebandmusic... both of these so we can sound good again!

3 - More interesting missions (I'd love to get an assignement to perform for the emperor...for example)

4 - More variety to existing flourishes

5 - Some way to tell when buffs are working

On my 2nd char now, grinding Musician again:

1.) Buff Time and Feedback

We need to shorten the amount of time it takes to buff people. To expect a group to sit around for 10-20 minutes while I buff them is unacceptable.
We also need some sort of system message when we give our max buff. The system is obviously tracking the amount of flourishes and such we're doing SOMEWHERE (either my side, server-side, or my customer's-side)because we have a variable-time buff.Just put in a system message to the musician when the buffing meter is maxed. I'd be happy with that.

2.) BF healing in camps

3.) Better Musician Missions and MUCH better payout

4.) More songs and instruments

5.) More cantina decoration choices (Where are the actual light-giving lamps Architects have been demanding for months?)

4) group tipping/tip spliting between entertainers

Ok here it goes, dont be mad if im repeating what someone else said...If it does repeat, then it just shows that we REALLY want it and should get it! lol...

1. New music

2. BF healing in camps

3. New instruments

4. Some way to incorperate higher level songs into lower level songs (so that people playing omni boxes and nalargons are plays SW1, no matter how fun itmay be...this would allow for cooler sounding music also, as an alternative if the devs wont make new music...do you think this is a good idea? no disrespect to the devs )

5. Make the difference between Virtuoso on the Nalargon and any other song on the Nalargon different (doesnt it make you wonder why one song sounds like piano and then The-Little-Mermaid-Under-The-Sea sound? lol)

thanks for reading! and feel free to say anything about my suggestions

Hiya Donnell,

Don't worry about duplicating what other people have already listed in their top-fives. As you say, if something is frequently cited, it must be important! Your first item, "new music," has been in our top five since launch. In fact, it's been our #1 or #2 issue for the past six months. IMHO, it certainly belongs at or near the top of our list -- now more than ever.

Keep those lists coming, folks. Thanks!
