I'm sorry, but your motives are transparent. You created a poll in the musicians forum. Your intent was clear: You wanted Musicians to vote YES in droves, thus giving you fodder for your lifeless argument. It was my intent to make sure you didn't get away with it. What would have happened if I created a poll in the Entertainer forum that asked whether Musicians should get the Mandoviol or not? Do you think the results would have paralleled this poll? Of course not. Your wording and your placement were specifically designed to engender a biased result.
I have never stated that I wanted the instrument/song removed from Ents.
Again, you fail to see the point. You think you are not removing anything from Entertainers by giving additional talents to the Musician skill tree. You are wrong. What you are taking away from Entertainers is a UNIQUE ability and a UNIQUE song. If you give this ability and song to Musicians, you make it a common ability and song, and thus you have stolen from the Entertainer tree whether you see it or not.

Just for may favorite guy Bulbous2: The No's have spoken? by 5 votes. Wow A landslide! My motives transparent? Yeah, they were: to find out what people thought. Placing a poll in the entertainer forum?: Do it! If you want to know what thoughts are from an Entertainer perspective GO FOR IT. To engender a biased result?: For what? I wanted some information! Am I a developer? Am I going to be able to change anything regardless of what the result? Maybe I just wanted to find out what other Musicians felt like me! Get a LIFE!

And as for failing to see the point: Until you provide me with some sort of PROOF that the statement SOE puts in game under the MM skill box, YOU fail to see the point:

This is the main problem with the current state. It affects the musicians only and adversly. There is no reason for a dancer or ID to go ME, only a musician misses out by skipping ME. The reward for ME was clearly derived by taking from the MM, which is also a true statement since I was a beta musician. This is just another reason why people have a problem with the current set up.

As it has been pointed out several times in the past... Dancers getting second-level versions of previous dances is IN-LINE with the rest of their skill tree. HALF of the dance skills are repeats of old dances if you haven't noticed. This is not a flaw with master entertainer, it is a flaw with the dance line.

Then you should also know the answer to what I posted above, which, based on your statement here, I'm assuming is true. So, there you go skywalker, Tigris just gave you your proof I guess.
If it was changed since beta, it is safe to say that it wasn't an accident or an oversight.
It's in the interpretation. Yes, the reward for ME came from the musician tree. I do not ever argue that. IT came from the musician tree, not the ID tree. You can claim that some of it was derived from the dancer trees, but as many dancers will tell you, the reward in MM is not anything worth getting. So, the reward for ME IS THE MUSIC. So the musician are the people that have had their skills pruned and are the ones that need ME to complete the set. This was changed during beta, and if anyone can possible say that everything done in beta was final or correct, then we should have a working game with loads of content and no need for devs.
I will agree that the entire dance line is a problem point still, but put 2 unique danced in ME and watch the dancers start frothing at the mouth. Of course the case would be fairer than it is with only the musicians really getting it in the ass.

Did you ever think that he is trying to advance the cause of the musician. This is the forum for that. The forum for advancing the entertainer is in the Entertainer forum. The fact that I am both is why I read this forum, the entertainer forum and the dancer forum. I have always keep this argument here because it is a MUSICIAN problem, not an entertainer problem. Musician problems go on the musician forum. Also, if you thought that posting here was going to advance his ideas, you haven't read the threads all that much. I'd have never made that generalization. Heck I've been fighting this fight for a month, and still wouldn't put it at more than a 50-50 split (+/- 10%) on this issue. I do think is probably is more on the ME side than MM, but I see that there is a problem (too evenly split for my taste) with this and it needs to be adressed by the devs, EVEN IF THAT MEANS THEY SAY IT STAYS AND THEY CHANGE THE MM DESCRIPTION. You are not a dev though, so you opinion, like mine is nothing more than that, an opinion. Until I see a concrete answer from a higher authority than the great Bulbous2, I will continue to advocate changes to ME, the restoration of mandoviol and ceremonial to Music, the two dances to Dance, and a suitable ME perk that is useful and relevant to all three elite trees, not just one.
So you can go play your mando all you want and you can even advocate against me. I don't care,but what I do care about is that you don't have a God given right to be an ass. Whe nmultiple peopel think you are an ass, you might want to consider that they might be right and you are just deluding yourself.

Look, bulbous's point was that this is not an unbiased poll, and it isnt. The author started out by saying that he wanted musicians to have said items, and then followed it up with reasons why musicians should have them. Then he opened the poll. That is hardly unbiased.
Furthermore you almost have straight party lines on the voting. Those of us that said "Hey thats a cool insturment, its worth working for" and went and got it think that those that didnt can jump in a lake when they want to get something they didnt work for. Those that have MM only see the song/insturment and feel that they should be able to play them as well, and perhaps not without justification as theoretically they are supposed to play all songs and insturments.
I will agree that bulbous was rather overzealous in his argument here, but you cannot deny that he has a point.

Explanation: a master pistoleer cannot use pistol moves from Bounty Hunters or Smugglers. So masters not using all of the skills of their mastery is by design and not a bug. Master Entertainer should be worth two dances and one musical piece.

Yes I think Master Musician should know all skills related to music. There is no point in learning Image Design and Dancing so you can play a new song and a new instrument. It doesnt make much sense that a "Master Entertainer" could know a song that a "Master Musician" can't learn.
As for the second question, I want to go Master Musician, but I also want the madoviol and ceremonial song so I'll have to go Master Entertainer too unless they fix this.

The mandoviol does not give too much xp nor do I believe was it design for that purpose. You use the mandoviol to show off. That is why it is part of the Entertainer tree. I wanted to play it so I spent a lot of time dancing and IDing. And male dancers don't look too.. masculine. But I did it anyway. The mandoviol was my reward. I don't think I was ever prouder than when I hit Master Entertainer... and I will never dance again

am master entertainer and masters musican was almost master dancer
As a result of in game events, happenings, live i droped my dancing all the way down
for pistol and destory missions which pay out well and great comapred to the so called gig missions
My next step is to give up my mandovila/ me which i dearly love but not at the expense of my character earning a decent living in this game
bye the time it comes for me to drop my masters musican i will be cancleing my account since the no loot and i did once love being in the band.................
