Thread: Poll for ALL Entertainers. Please keep it strictly to the questions:
1. I think that's a leadingquestion, but my answer'sNo.
2: Master Musician, or perhaps Other: I may work toward Master Entertainer, but time and skill-point limitations will likely keep me from it.

Your "poll" is based on a BUG. The above statement is an ERROR left over from BETA that will be CORRECTED. You can'thave the Mandoviol or other stringed instrument. Please stop trying.

1: SOE states in the in-game skills tree that: "The Master Musician knows all the songs and instruments available, and has all the tools to put on a professional performance."
I can see that someone has not budged from their "bug" theory. Not that I have ever seen a dev post that this was a bug......I guess I'll just counter him by saying that the ME having a string instrument is a bug. Probably replace it with a useless horn just as soon as they get around to it.
Oh well, he'll keep screaming bug, so I guess I'll keep posting these for a lack of anything better to do. =)

But once again, for the record, this thread is biased and unscientific. You have stated as a premise that SOE wrote that the Master Musician could play all instruments, and you want them to stick to that. Well, guess what? They changed their minds just before the game went to the publisher. Unfortunately, they FORGOT to change the description!Does that mean they should roll back their change? Get a grip.
As additional proof that you are being a jerk with regards to this pointless survey, why did you call it a poll for "ALL entertainers", but posted it in the MUSICIANS section? I've never seen such a blatant put-on job; not even in politics.
Sure, I think that they should. I mean the decided to make changes to CH just prior to release and look what hell that did to the game and guess what, they are rolling them back. Just because you think you are right doesn't mean that you are. Post a reply and move on.
Next, the thread was posted because ofhis bias butthe thread or the poll isnot bias by default. As stated, the skill DOES currently state what he posted, so that is a FACT, not an opinion. You post is an opinion and one that you advocate with no proof of being right. So far you have been nothing but a jerk with regards to this argument, so calling anyone else a jerk is pretty lame. As for polotics, are you in the US, this would get you laughed at as a political ploy. Too straight forward and honest. (Did you see the first paragraph at all??)
Also, I might point out that it looks like the no's are winning, but thefact that this is still an issue with many people means that thisis an issue that still needs dev clarification. And what the devs say might or might not be final, as we have come to learn rather quickly this last month.

This is the main problem with the current state. It affects the musicians only and adversly. There is no reason for a dancer or ID to go ME, only a musician misses out by skipping ME. The reward for ME was clearly derived by taking from the MM, which is also a true statement since I was a beta musician. This is just another reason why people have a problem with the current set up.
Oh and for the record, even though most already know.
YES
and
Soon to be Ex-MM.
Okay answers to your questions...
Yes to the first one
Both to the second one...I was going for master dancer too so it wasn't a big effort on my part to get master entertainer in the mean time...

No and Both.
Here is why. Master entertainer has 2 perks.
Both dances are slightly more polished versions of the dances gotten at dance 4, so they are hardly an incentive to get ME. ME does not provide any bonuses to ID either. It may provide some random combat bonuses, though I have no idea why, but I dont remeber off the top of my head.
Its perks are the Mando and Ceremonial.
Yea it would be nice if all of you all who dont want to bother with ME could have all the toys, but just suck it up and deal with it or suck it up and dance. I wanted to play the mando, so I went and got it. You can do the same. There is absolutly no reason to screw a mastery out of its only perks because members of an advanced profession are jeleous.
Anyway the question is almost moot, I would sooner expect a change to level rifle damage with pistol damage than a shuffling of songs.

"Where is your proof that SOE changed their mind?"
Wasn't mandoviol in musician line in beta and then removed for release? That is why, if I have heard correctly, the phrase about "master musician knows all the instruments" is still there, because it used to be true... but then they changed their mind apparently, and it is probably because there weren't any master entertainers in beta.
Anyway,
NO- get a life and find a new topic to talk about
BOTH - although may drop ME if I ever decide to master a combat profession... that is up in the air.

As it has been pointed out several times in the past... Dancers getting second-level versions of previous dances is IN-LINE with the rest of their skill tree. HALF of the dance skills are repeats of old dances if you haven't noticed. This is not a flaw with master entertainer, it is a flaw with the dance line.
"The reward for ME was clearly derived by taking from the MM, which is also a true statement since I was a beta musician."
Then you should also know the answer to what I posted above, which, based on your statement here, I'm assuming is true. So, there you go skywalker, Tigris just gave you your proof I guess.
If it was changed since beta, it is safe to say that it wasn't an accident or an oversight.
1. Yes
2. Planning to be both.
That out of the waymaybe we could come up with an alternative. Maybe make a requirement that you have to spend 620 App points after becoming a master musician to pick up the Entertainer skills.
Well, this has gone from a 'questions' only poll to a detailed one. Good to see all the response. I have to say that I have now given up ME (for now) and thus given up Mandoviol. We shall see whether or not I get it back but at this point I really don't care. The whole entertainment field needs some serious work to make it worth staying with it. I am keeping Master Musician (for now) but have trained and have enough XP for both Master Marksman and Master Scout (just need to give up the music and make some lucky BH's day in Apprentice Points).
Although I am not as passionate about the cause, it is still my belief that SOE has two choices; Remove the description from MM (should be a VERY simple fix that for some reason has not been done yet), or give the MM ALL instruments and songs available.
Thank you all for your responses. This has been an interesting thread.

Well, at least we are getting somewhere. You're half right. As to the other half, look no further than the fact that he posted an entertainer poll in the Musician forum. He is trying to lead the results in the direction he wants.
Guess what? He loses anyway. THE NO's HAVE SPOKEN! As in NO CEREMONIAL, NO MANDOVIOL. No Stringed Instruments for Musicians, while we are at it. Time to give up, I'll be playingmy excellentMando. If you guys want to craft some more up for me, I'll make sure my ME friends give them lots of love.
Bulbous2 ,
Someday when you get older you will understand that this is not about winning and losing. I wanted to see what people thought. I did not want to double post. I clearly wanted to be a MM only as I do not like the dance or ID. I clearly stated what MY opinion was and encouraged EVERYONE to read theother posts. I posted here because this problem affects Musicians not entertainers. I have never stated that I wanted the instrument/song removed from Ents. You have been nothing but rude both publicly and privately and I do not appreciate it at all.
