I am still not ashamed of my Master Musician tag, it never leaves my overhead, unless someone asks me if I can do Image Design work then I flash my ID title real quick and go back to the Musician tag.
Speaking of not being "bothered" with the tag up..... I can not recall a single time that I have ever got a tell asking if I was availible for buffing, etc. Since I wear my tag always, you would think someone would maybe do a search occasionally. Maybe if I were a Master Dancer I would get tells? Funny thing is I think our Musician buff is much better than the Dancers because you can regen your mind really, really fast, especially when combined with Brandy and/or Muon. /shrug

I have some regular patrons who value conversation with amusic buff, and send me tells when they are in need. I gladly go out of my way for these people who seek me out, rather than go to the bots.
Many people enjoy the dancer buff, simply because it's more... obvious. It shows up on your HAM display. However, those who try the music buffs soon become very appreciative of their power.

I dropped master musician after just 3 days because of the bots.
The best example was the mining op on dantooine on the Ahazi server. I go there to try and sell buffs (heck free if you want them, I'm on a "tip what you want" policy). I was doing awesome for about just 30 minutes and made around 50k in that amount of time. Then this bot named "Has Been-exploited" comes in and *everyone* goes to her instead. Even when she got stuck in a group where the leader wasnt inviting, people would go "INVITE TO HAS GROUP PLZ", "WHO IS LEADER????", while I'm shouting "Musician doubling your focus/willpower for 2 hours!" to no avail.
So I go to dath science op to try my luck there, there is a dancer bot doing mind buffs but not music, so I figured I'll try and sell mine with her there. People come in and I have to almost insist on selling them buffs as they would go to the bot because she's easier to use, the most common response was "no thx i only need dancer buff", I also got "why arent you afk?" alot.
I felt really excessive as an ATK musician, almost like doing the job of a quest npc, "why am I doing this when people can just get buffs for free from bots?", and most people who used me instead of a bot would do it from charity.

i amNOT making a toon on chimera,i was joking ,i got mad and blew up. i just don't appreciate having to read hundreds of meaning less posts .when i am trying to find game play information that is LEGAL GAME PLAY. oh those words hurt don't they .ok im moving on .i found my macro and you wont have the pleasure of wasting my time reading your posts that have absolutely no postive impact on the thread.i will use my buff bot to buff my guild in my guild cantina as long as it is LEGAL game play. i do not want to affect anyone negatively ,but you really don't care about that when you post flames mindlessly without asking what the intention is of the person posting .so don't try the holyier than tho excuse on me because i see right thru it. and once again let me remind you what the people are asking for in the posts that have been flamed litterally 100 times IS LEGAL GAME PLAY RIGHT NOW AS I TYPE AND ALWAYS HAS BEEN AS LONG AS I HAVE PLAYED. i don't cheat and i don't appreciate being accused of duping creds etc just because im searching or/ found a legal game macro that helps me and my guild .anyway i apologize for blowing up because it was not the right thing to do. you won't hear from me any more on this board and i wish you all the best of luck. one final side note tho when they do make the change to no recursive macros, that is sending the message SOE SWG no longer wants people to have alternate accounts and while you may not havean alternate account,ALOT of people do. and as for me personally i don't have 120 hours per week to play to master survey or musician .i have a job and im going to school .so when they do make these changes i prob will have to find a game that is less of a time sink. but i hope it works out for all of you. i know im wrong because i oppose this change. peace out i spent my last 2 creds on this board .if i somehow offended you once again .im sorry. it wont happen again .

Um, I don't see how the removal of recurssive macros means anybody should get rid of their alternate accounts. People will still be able to logon their mule entertainer to buff their main. The mule will logout after a while. So what?

Play a game that's not so much of a time sink? This is a Role Playing Game. Time sinks and credit sinks are an important part of the game. Part of the role of the character is character development. Once you hit master, once you get all your leet loot, once you're 'the best', what's left? What else is there to do, but sit around bitching that there's not enough content?
It took me four months to master Musician ATK. I'm proud of that fact. I met a LOT of great players, and had a wonderful time. I had a goal that I worked for, and am proud to have accomplished. If you don't have to earn something, then you don't appreciate it. Then we have the situation we have here. Master LAMErs, not master Musicians or Entertainers.
Please, PLEASE, push the end of recursive macros, or make unattended character advancement against the EULA.

Nope, you're not the only one. Just because it's legal doesn't make it right. And, something being legal or "the way things are" is never a valid excuse in my book to let it perpetuate. Nor is it an excuse to give up the fight to try to change it.

Something for you to remember, it is just as legal for us to dislike you for choosing the superficial path as it is for you to choose it. It is also just as LEGAL for us to refuse to help you get an afk macro as it is for you to ask us for one.
If you got one, great, super, go ahead and go afk so I can /addignore you and go back to my fun. Why wouldSOE make it illegal to play afk, they suck soooo much money from people that don't actually use the product for anything it woudl be crazy for them to throw that away.

You all are shall i say.... Mentally challenged, THIS IS JUST A GAME the way you all write your posts its like its your life and nothing else. You all need to get laid or something just do something, I agree that if you pay $15 dollars a month you can do whatever you want including AFK buffs. If you don't like the way its done... don't play no one is forcing you to. Thats all i got to say
