I can agree with that. Especially with all the stuff we put up with and we still play entertainers.

Maybe you should follow your own advice. If it's truly just a game and it doesn't matter, then don't respond with troll posts. Just go with the flow, and when the recursive macros end, accept it and go on. Or, if you feel this overwhelming urge to argue about it maybe you should go get laid.

kthx.

Sure you pay your money and feel like you can do whatever you want. WITHIN LIMITS. You are pretty much free to do what you want and have fun, until it infringes on others' freedom to do the same. Buffbots are a direct threat to the Entertainment profession.

There are strict rules and terms that you agree to everytime you log in. It's called the EULA, or Terms of Use Agreement.

http://starwarsgalaxies.station.sony.com/tos.jsp

Please note about two-thirds through section 7: "you may not use or distribute macros or other programs which would allow unattended game play." Even ones provided within the game. Pure and simple.

Now we see thatthere's rampant violation of the ToS. Rather than ban countless accounts, and lose a LOT of income, they're killing recursive macros, and fixing a problem.

So, again, what do you expect to accomplish by insulting the very people you will have to turn to after the fix?

Line by line explanation of MindBuff1:

Line 1 for Musicians has you start the Star Wars 1 Song - you can substitute this with the macro command for any song you want to play

Line 1 for Dancers has you start doing the Basic Dance - you can substitute this with the macro command for any dance you want to perform

Line 2 has you pause for 5 seconds, ensuring your song/dance has started

Line 3 has you perform flourish number 1

Line 4 has you pause for 90 seconds

Line 5 has you perform flourish number 2

Line 6 has you pause for 90 seconds

Line 7 has you perform flourish number 3

Line 8 has you pause for 90 seconds

Line 9 has you perform flourish number 4

Line 10 has you pause for 90 seconds

Line 11 has you perform flourish number 5

Line 12 has you pause for 90 seconds

Line 13 has you perform flourish number 6

Line 14 has you pause for 90 seconds

Line 15 has you perform flourish number 7

Line 16 has you pause for 90 seconds

Line 17 has you perform flourish number 8

Line 18 has you pause for 90 seconds

Line 19 for musicians has you stop playing your current song

Line 19 for dancers has you stop performing your current dance

Line 20 has you pause for 30 seconds

Line 21 has you sit down

Line 22 has you pause for 180 seconds - 3 minutes

Line 23 has you stand up

Line 24 has you pause for 5 seconds to allow you time to get up before restarting the macro

Line 25 has you repeat the macro

Line by line explanation of MindBuff2:

Line 1 has you target whatever your cursor is currently on

Line 2 has you stop targeting whatever your cursor is currently on, leaving whatever it was just on as the current target

Line 3 has you start the buff on your current target

Line 4 has you pause for 5 seconds

Line 5 has you repeat the marco

Please note, MindBuff2 will continually (every 5 seconds) tell the person it is targeting that you are setting your performance on them. The reason I set the pause for so short a time is, if the person moves for whatever reason the buff may not work. This way, every 5 seconds they get the message, and they know for certain they are standing in the correct spot.

When people come here asking for something that violates the TOU and EULA as well as screws over our profession what do you expect?

First off It isent agesnt the rules of gameplay prove it.

Second off If it's ruining your gameing experence then you must be one of those cantina rat's who dosent know how to make friends and join a guild. I have NEVER steped foot inside a real cantina in a non player city and I am allmost mastered now. And yes it's my second account buff bot. Master Doc and Musican.

Buff bot houses are VERY overrated They bug up alot you useuly have to wait longer then a real buffer would have you wait and you useuly pay more. The solution to you "Live entertainers" Is GET OUTSIDE THE CANTINA. Hello? are we geting this message. Get out of coronet go travel with your tag up preform on a corner dance for your guild or play for them start a band dont moan and cry about some bot in a building afk.

I have honestly NEVER seen a more hatefull message board for new people to a profession in all of SWG other then the dancer board every one of you is a hipocrite becuse I know there is alot of AFK macroing to get master here despite the fact that you all outcast anybody that openly says they use one.

I'd say I know how to make friends, seeing as how I'm friends with most of the server. And no, I didn't join a guild, I did start my own though. However, I like the large diversity of people I get in non player city cantinas. I do get out, I do travel. I perform at star ports from time to time, I've had a concert on the theed med center balcony, I've had a concert in the middle of the street. And you know what, it still doesn't mean I hate buffbots any less. Because I do enjoy hanging around the theed cantina playing music, and the sight of afk entertainers annoys me... The annoyance might be bad enough, but its the attitude that people have towards entertainers because of the buffbots that really pisses me off. I can't count the number of times people have just walked up to me and tried to invite me, run away when I actually started *gasp* speaking to them, or in general decided to try to piss off the live entertainers in the cantina, all because they are used to (and prefer) buffbots, or glorified NPC buffers.

If a new player wants to start up a buffbot, I could care less if they think we're hostile, I don't want them in the game. Anyone who AFK macros might as well quit, sure there would be less people but you might actually see *live* people in the game from time to time. Its bad enough this game has earned the nickname "An Empire AFK" due to all this afk macro crap, but it turns off a lot of new players. As far as being a hypocrit, I can honestly say I have NEVER been afk while doing anything in game. If I'm going to be gone for more than about 30 seconds, I stop playing music and sit down. If I'm going to be afk for more than 4-5 minutes, I log out. Many of the entertainers I know that are still around have never run an afk macro either... most of those that do quit or become buffbots.

I really don't understand the backlash on macros. Did some people have a nasty accident with an ATM when they were young and now distrust all helpful automatons?

But since macros are about to be overhauled it doesn't appear that it will matter for much longer.

Are you a dedicated Troll? You have made basically an identical post in 3 seperate threads on this and the Dancer Forum.
