Thread: AFK buff macro
As a relatively new entertainer, the biggest response that I get from other players is shock. Shock that I'm actually at the keyboard playing. I can't wait until the macros are removed. Hopefully all the buffbot goons will just quit and go play WoW with the rest of the powergamers.

back in the day before buffbots, i used to frequent the dantooine mining outpost, selling focus/willpower buffs, i enjoyed it, and made between 50 and 75k a day, sure not a huge amount of money, but compared to what i got just sitting there in cantinas... then one day, a buffbot named yago shows up, doing both dancer and musican buffs, and well, since he was not at the keyboard, you didnt need to pay, and since you didnt need to pay for his buffs, well, why come to the person who you would have to pay for?
Lets assume for a moment that BF was given over to NPC's. Knowing SOE and the way they do business it would be done in one of four ways.
1) A time sink. You BF is slowly healed when you sit in a cantina. Combatants should be prepared to spend a 10 minutes or so in the cantina every hour.
2) A credit sink. Just another war to remove credit from the system. Pay 100 cr per BF to get healed.
3) A combination of one and two. Likely with higher prices and longer whiting times.
4) Bf is removed but mission pay is drastically cut as an expense is removed and combatants spend even more time in the field.
Neither of these would likely be very appealing to the average combatant. And any argument for buffbots could be used for giving the abilities to NPC's.
Oh and what do you think doctors would charge if they buffed all 9 stats?

I say bring it on... all us ATK entertainers could leave before the bomb blew up, and then when the cantina was cleared of AFK'ers and Buffbots we could renter and continuity our performance.
And simply having a commando will be a lot easier then having to have a combat medic and a squad leader, when it comes to disabling buffbots.

Tarnak.......EXCELLENT RESPONSE!!!! That was outstanding...my goal was to lighten people up but you surpassed my expectationsfor a good response! All you entertainers out there whining could take a page out of Tarnak's book and look at the situation on how can I combat this situation with what I have and not whine whine whine this sucks for me. Thank you Tarnak that was awesome.

The Musicians board and the other entertainer boards are by far some of the best boards I have seen on these forums.
let me be very specific here the ones who have nothing better to do than answer a post with not only a comment that isnt helpful to the original post but is completely the opposite flaming them on how they are bad
We have no obligation to help you find a buffbot macro. If you do not wand to chat to At The Keyboard musicians then you should not come here.
