Nope, I haven't heard anything that I'm allowed to pass on. I have just started a thread on the XP requirement, though, asking whether XP requirements are the "wave of the future" for other professions (as it appears they are), and reporting the strong opposition among Musicians to the XP requirement for our new song.

I understand the frustrations with dev secrecy, but NDAs seem to be a pretty common practice in this industry. Personally, I think developers overuse them. Blizzard dropped the NDA for the WoW beta 5 months ago, and it's going to have a better game as a result, IMHO. But JTL is subject to a strict NDA, and in effect so are dev communications with Correspondents. The rationale is that discussion will flow more freely, and unorthodox ideas will be tossed around more liberally, if they're not splashed all over a public board. There is some merit to it, but here (as in the executive branch of government) I think it's overused.

There's also MUCH to be said for word of mouth advertising. Perhaps they're worried. I would be...

Can't recall ever signing an NDA for SWG Live.

Our Quest has nothing to do with JTL.

So, why was the only happy moment I've had as an Entertainer in this game in a LONG time dashed to the ground with the PM remark? I fail to understand what the problem is, if there's less than a week to the Quest going Live. Who doesn't hear their content is going LIve in a week, ESPECIALLY after the original release date just....came and went....and we thought we were getting nothing and no clue what was going on.

It's not my fault he told me something he wasn't supposed to.

Personally, I wouldn't put anything beneath the Devs.

I'm fully expecting the Quest to go Live next Tuesday, broken dance and xp requirement existing just like on TC. Because it's something, and they want it out of the way. They've done nothing to insinuate I should expect anything less. The positive is the song seems like a bit hit. The negative is road they've led us down for this new content. Not a road I'd like to venture down again.

Well, next Tuesday we'll find out.

Yeah but think about this... you got 2 msgs from a Dev.... That's more then any Feedback thread involving Entertainer stuff... it's more then any of the Entertainer forums....

It would seem to be more then our Corrs get... as I can't see how that info shouldn't be passed on to us if they have it. Unless of course the devs really plan on NOT putting it out... or maybe they just don't want to be bothered with threads and PMs about how the dance is still broken and the xp cost sucks.... wait why would they even care they don't read those PMs or threads.... /shrug

Also forgot about how uber excited we are about Jedis and JtL... I can't wait till we roll out the next addon called "Jedi Rule Space" where we make Jedi into an all powerful super class of Pilots. Ohhhh I'm drooling again...

Consider it noted. I'm sure NewJedi would have mentioned that, but he's not allowed to discuss it due to the NDA.

Oh and DarkYoda....isn't it "Jedis Rool Space" to cater to the majority?

Personally I think its a distraction ploy.

If they get us talking about the PMs and that there were PMs then the threads were deleted then we get pissed about that....well lookie there...we're three steps removed from the whole quest issue already and its only been 24 hours. If it keeps up like this we'll forget that they promised new songs or "exciting new content" at all.

Hutt Casino? There are Hutt's with casinos....never heard about that before. Removing recursive macros?? Now why would we want to do that. New songs? Well we put music into the Image design tents. Isn't that enough. There are entertainer concerns? There are entertainers who care?? That are not AFK??? We thought that was how you liked to play!

Ok....so put together a new top 5 list....yes new from the ones you've had since January when we agreed to look at your top 10 list ....then put you on the back burner when everyoneelse had to have their own list...and then reduced it from 10 to 5. So a new top 5 list....and sometime after JTL we'll try to misunderstand the questions and get you more non-answers adding to the3

/aside hey guys why'd we answer that many questions for musicians /end_aside

we have given you since launch. Oh and that first answer we gave you in April about getting a new song in the Mini Publish after Pub 9...well we said the schedule wasn't solid. Its only been 6 months since we gave you that answer and we'll get to it someday. We have studies that the player community will keep paying for at least10 months while being ignored before they cancel, and that concessions prior to 8 months of neglect empowers them too much.

Please recall.....the entertainer is an exciting new way to experience a MMORPG. So if you figure out how it should work, let us know and we'll ignore you while we do other stuff.

You folks are looking at this wrong. This is a bunch of programmers, many of those are lonely young men who don't know a lot about socialization. Now if you want them to focus on entertainment I strongly suggest that we get some exotic leotards made and send a sizeable contingent of attractive young ladies to dance for the devs. Remind them whatIS possible and what they are missing by ignoring this class.
