Thread: What Question for the week of June 21?

So I need a focused question: a specific question about a specific aspect of gameplay. I think I need it by Monday, so please keep those ideas coming.

I vote for boycotting the question. I'm not dumb. I learn by experiences. My experience from the Monday thread of In Live and the 19 questions is that communication is bound to horribly fail. I'm not going to waste time again for an answer that is not even worth my time reading it.

I know that if we don't post a constructive question, we won't get a constructive answer.

I learned that even if we post a constructive question, we won't get a constructive answer.

So we waste time on a question. In my oppinion we need to flat out tell them they suck. That may sound CS-kiddie style, but it's the truth.

Thunderheart fails and I won't tolerate his excuses any longer.

I have a question for thought.

Is there a way to make it so entertainers HAVE to accept someone watching/listening to them. No /command to accept, no way to macro it. Just a nice simple yes or no click box. Get this implemented and only live players and the third party macroers will be able to do it (btw 3rd party macros are a violation of policy)

Pex already posted in the Events forum that the Theater might be getting some TLC soon but not until after JTL. So I think we should not ask about it. I think we should ask about AFK buffbots.

thanks

Please keep your votes coming in, folks. I think we have to get it in on Monday; I'll log in Monday morning to check on what's up with TH. I just plan to count the proposals in this thread and go with the one that's most popular.

i think a question that sticks it to em like you posted NJ is what we need. But I would make it a smaller one. Such as. Look you treatment of the social playstyle is not acceptable. Waiting for you to give it attention after JTL is too long. When will ents/ rp/ politicians get some true development time. Im sorry you weren't hired for a FPS job but you weren't now when will you work on the true thing an mmo is about?

I sorta like the idea of all four ent Cors asking "When and what are you going to do about buff bots?"

granted its not a big deal, a problem, or even a concern, but its focused. Is there any possiblity or desire to enable a musician to move while playing. Possibly only for certain instruments, and only walking. But i think that would be an interesting addition to the Musician tree, giving us an edge of entertainers. But thats just me....

I like the idea of coordinating with Correspondents, and I'll ask them about it. But I think the impact would be lost on the devs. The way we do it currently, we get the benefit of answers to other questions of interest to us. E.g., when we asked about self-buffs, the Dancer Correspondent was waiting for the answer with bated breath.

I've just posted an inquiry about the due date for our Question. I thought it was due today, but I haven't seen TH's usual thread on it yet. (Has anyone else?) My guess is the devs are preoccupied with getting Publish 9 out tomorrow. It's a huge publish, so I'm willing to cut them a day or two's slack, but I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Well, Publish 9 has been delayed a week, but TH has also said he's going to take another day or so to get last week's Answers out, so I guess we're on hold for a day or so. I'll keep checking.

Just remember not to ask a when type question. If TH is true to his oh-so-useful form, the answer will be "After JTL"

Now I'm hearing that TH is pushing the Q-and-A cycle back a week, which means our question isn't due until next week. Normally that means Monday, but with Publish 9 due out next Tuesday, my guess is we're looking at middle of next week before ours are due. I'll keep checking.

So Monday is whatwould normally be the day, but most likely Wednesday.

What day will TH just choose it this time?

I do not completely agree with your point. Everyone pretty much knows none of our questions will be addressed until after JTL unless it pertains to Jedi, smugglers, BHs or the CB.

If we ask 'when?' then we also implicity ask 'do the devs think it should be?'... thatabove most other thingsis what I think the 19 Questions should be used for... to see what the 'end-intent' is by the devs.

If we do use the 'when' word, it would probably be best to phrase it something like 'how soon after JTL will this be possible?'

imho
