I never knew entertainers could be so bitter...and what scares me the most is the fact that all of you have guns! /step back ten feet from the Twi'leck with the twitch

Same situation with the Holo here. I have no problem with going AFK all day and night long to make the hundred plus hours to master go by quicker.

You don't have to master musician, it's just your decision to do so. At least you got a profession that is relatively easy and less time consuming to master unlike me getting bio engineer....

I guess people using aimbots in first person shooters have no problem with that tactic either. It's always the other players that cannot respect a lazy persons playstyle. Losers.

So who needs your respect in order to play this game? I don't. Quit trying to make others do the things you feel they should do...and put down the rule book for a while, your ulcer needs a break.

I'm with the original poster. My first holo told me to master entertainer.

I tried, I really tried to stay at the key board and play the crowd. Just got so board.
I haven't used afk macro's(was a doc and grined out crafting by hand), but with the amount of exp to gain with entertainer, just to mind numing to stand around tooting my horn.( I know there is more, but I'm the anit social type, love the solo style).

To all that can do it and do it well more power to you. I like to get out and explore.
I'll be out of your profession asap.

LOL I couldn't care less what anybody thinks of my playstyle. As for comparing AFK entertaining with cheating, I've yet to see any Dev say that it is.

It's in the EULA. No unattended gameplay. And you know it's forbidden. You don't use bots for combat either, do you ?

( Sorry, if you do, at least you're a consistent cheater )

Considering the language of that statement in the EULA is sufficiently vague as to not identify SWG's ingame macro system butaludes to a'program', no I don't thinkany Dev has ever said it was cheating, nor do I even really care. I'm going to macrotain my way to master musician anyways.

How about you start off by not insulting musicians by insulting our profession by calling it the worst then asking for help. Anyway you are a fool if you followed your holocrons. Just another who got suckered into giving up what they enjoy and for what?

That's all I need to know. You are an egoistic, cheating Macrotainer. Not better than any CS aimbot user.

I didn't know Cliffe, Goose, and the gang coded aimbots into CS for everybody to use like theDevscoded macros into SWG for everybody to use. Is that in the newest version or something? I haven't played since 1.5 so maybe it was after my time.

Speaking of CS, you're probably one of those people who cryed about the AWP huh?

Thank you for that response. That's all I was looking for with this post, really. I did not want to start some kind war, I just wanted to know, "why" AFKers were frowned upon.

So it's just the prime real estatebeing takenthat bothers people. I can totally understand that...

No, it has little to do with prime real estate. That's a minor concern. It's about the perception it creates in the player community about our value in the game and about our ability to play the game.

For just one example of many, check the first three messages in this thread about medics and healing:

The attitudes being expressed about entertainers here are commonplace and are the direct result of the proliferation of AFK entertainers macroing their way to master.

It's not that they take up the best space (though that's annoying enough when it happens). It's that they make the rest of the community think of ALL of us as a bunch of macro-monkeys who don't do any real work to achieve our advancement. Why respect a profession if anyone with a macro and a few days can master it without actually playing the game?
