I stood around the Coronet Starport and asked people to watch me so I could learn a new song. People were actually pretty excited about helping me. A couple of people even stood around me and said stuff like "Come watch Finra for free now before she gets famous and tickets are too expensive!!"
I failed the final audition, so I'll have to give it another try tomorrow.

Ah, Shyloche, I was sure you'd make it. We both get to try again tonight! Except that waiting 24 hours might mean waiting past midnight in my case, depending on whether the server reset adds a couple more hours to the 24 hour cycle. Rats!
I also eventually found it helpful to use tells, but it especially helped to have a third party hawk on behalf of me and Shyloche. Shianne kept saying "please listen to these two musicians," and that seemed to work better than doing my own spamming.

Mmmmm - or perhaps it was the outfit . .. . . brrrrrr - that exquiste leotard doesn't cover much! I'm still chilled! /giggle

I've now gotten up to the get 30 people to watch you stage and had to log since it was late so hoping to finish tomorrow.
I found the best way to get people to watch was just to send tells and everyone was happy to do it. I had an added bonus of getting some pretty good tips too because of it

ARGH! I passed every bit until I got to the final performance. No worries New Jedi, you still have a chance to get the song before me I had to play virtuoso for 300 seconds! How awful! and I only had time to hear the song they wanted a song they ddin't and a flourish they wanted. The audience was scattered EVERwhere. I tried to /conv trick and it didn't work for me so well.

Changing song and flourishes is most definatly the way to go. It has worked for me!
Now all I need to do is find some otherMusicians on Intrepid that can paly Western!

Two concert failures so far. I have two friends who have passed but I just can't seem to get past the dang first concert. I'm taking a friend next time to help with the audience it seems to be the only chance you have.
