Greetings ,

And allow me to elaborate.

Just bear in mind I'll discuss..... not lookin fer an argument though.

All I have in regards to input is my perspective. When I do gigs we get requests, when Ceremonial is requested alot of us sit out. This is not good for the band, the customers and that single ME who then steps up and solos the tune.

I only use the word need for the present. We have so few tunes and we need more to really put on a good show. That paticular tune is already in game and its nice so yes we need it.... key word here is we.

Now bear in mind if I dont get it no sweat all I'm doin is voicin my opinion.

Games new I can deal but to me it's not correctly set up.

Just my useless opinion tho

Well I see your point but we're talkin "A" Song here. And a pretty neat instrument sure.

For me not worth the points tho

Plus I'm playing to have fun also... Dancing? not happenin

Makeup?also not happening.

There cool professions and all but just not for me.I want those ranger camps

Splitting hairs on needs and wants I'm finding in any mmrpg is a fine line

Plus the pistoleer comparison isnt a fair comparison. Depending on slices a Scout blaster will outdo an swg5 or sr combat.

Plus its different even with the same weapon I have a ton of different mobs and scenarios.

Once again just my thoughts.I do see your side.

If I may ask

My perspective is one master out there doing gigs and such. Events etc. Is this also yours?

Any Musician working probably has run into this scenario.

Clutchin a song to such a narrow skill set is not proactive to our professions IMO

Juggling is more in line with the path.

But its cool I'm still having a great time and all.

My sole purpose for wanting it is when I'm cycling tunes I'd like more

That tune is perfect for a solo launch with a bandfil join after 2 verses and then nalg

Just my useless perspective

I'm all for keeping Mandoviol and Ceremonial rare and thus cool.

I don't think giving them to Master Musicians could be compensated for by giving the ME's something else. They would both have to have the Mando and Ceremonial. Then ME's would need something else that is exclusive to them. But then would we start all over with the MMs saying that they want all the songs and instruments?

As a Novice Musician who just achieved Master Entertainer (and the Mandoviol) I have to say -- it'sworth it! And it wasn't too hard to get. I had to spend about a week as a hairstylist and about a week as a dancer (and I'm just a "casual" player). I hope the devs DON'T change things. I played by the rules, paid my dues, and picked up a neat perk. I'd rather they didn't cheapen the time I put in by letting people achieve this more easily. In fact, I'd like to seeMORE fun perks achievable only by Masters (both Noviceand Elite professions) ... it's a good incentive to help train newbies -- plus, it makes "Master" really feel worth achieving.

I am an master entertainer, and trying to get to master musician, and I can safely say that I love being an Master Entertainer... the Mandoviol is great, but doing bandflourishes with formal 1 or 2 is really cool too, as well as being able to do some minor changes to my own and others apperance. Change the description of Master Musician instead.

For the 100th time, some of the musician things were moved to master entertainer after beta, and they apparently neglected to change the description of master musician after that... they would be more likely to patch a change to the description of master musician than they would patch the instruments back over to the whining musicians. Sorry. For more details go to one of the other thirty posts that you got your original post from.

Thats really nice. Where do you get your insight? I am sure glad you know the developers minds. The game has been out how long now? How many patches? The discription is text based.... Still the same... hmm...

Fact is Musicians want what Master Entertainers get.
Fact is Pistoleers want what Master Marksmen get.
Fact is Chefs want what Master Artisan get.

Thats the way the system is build ! You cannot have all, you have a limit, that is skillpoints. Don't have skillpoints left, cannot take the skills. And asking for more skillpoints because you want to build a character that can effectivly duel, artisan and be the best musician around is like asking to have a get out of jail card for free. It's simply not the way the system is build.

It's called using common sense instead of blind jealousy. The term "more likely" infers that, based on the changes they've made since beta (i.e., pre-release changes) and much past experience with MMORPGs, that it would fit the pattern better for them to change the description of master musician than it would for them to revert the instrument and song lineup back to the beta lineup. It is a lot of changes for it to have been an "oops, we've accidentally moved every instrument and song to a different slot!" ... much more likely was an "oops, we forgot to update the musician description". One doesn't need to be a mind reader to deduct that.

I want Ceremonial, but don't need the Mandoviol. It's easier to learn a new song on instruments I've mastered than learn new instruments. Leave Mandoviols with MEs. They deserve it. They enjoy entertaining more than I do as a mere musician.

Is the Mandoviol enough for an ME? I think so. It certainly is the most recognizable visual and aural example of someone really into Entertaining. To that point, it's all clarinets and one guitar

Well until the devs make a change, or post something concrete SlickRiptide, what you have to say is just as much an opinion as the next guy (including myself). If what you say is true, I think its a really BAD way to fix the ME class. You have some valid points, and I can see that some things have not been changed that need to be. IMHO one song/instrument does not make the ME any more valuable to the ME class other than to single out Musicians when they want to play the one song with the Mando. I think SOE needs to fix the whole ME line or remove it. I like some of the suggestions I have seen about improving ME's out there in the forums.
