Here's the difference between me and you. I resort to personal attacks when confronted with buffbots. Your whole playstyle is a personal attack on me and my fellow entertainers. How dare you come in here andthrow in our faces your glee regardingyourbuffbot - acheat that clearlyflouts rule 7 of the game's terms of service and whichhurts every musician here? You have some nerve!

Oops. Yes, I'm breaking my own rule on trolls. Yes I certainly do remember the IOI griefers. As I recall they were the ones who used to bring AT-STs into the cantina. Wankers.
I'm happy to report that at roughly this time last year, IOIgot fed up with all the children. They really impressed me by cleaning house. Most now show maturity and respect when dealing with others. I don't hesitate to offer them buffs for free when they come into the cantina.

IOI, runs a quiet town far south of the ********* on******** called*******. Not commonly known even to our non-jedi guildies, the town is used by IOI jedi as well as HAKD, Agony, and other imp jedi. We offer the following services:

2. Dancer Musician buff bot. Once in the main solo group, you will be grouped with our music/dance buff bot which runs out of the atst house.
3. Doc Buf Bot. Get buffs anytime you need them 24x7. Next to atst house, waypoint attached. Located in front of city hall and mission terminals, you must invite ****** to join your group (you must be ungrouped of course to do this). Then wait for him to say 'starting buffs' and be within 5m. For best results you should power his droid by buying an 'energy/power droid' and charging his medical droid.
4. The town is a med center for better buffs has both emp and regular mission terminals, as well as vehicle garage, and a small emp base just south of the city.
5. You are encouraged to place a house in the city and declare residence, and join the militia, so that group members can protect you from imperial bh.

This is actually an "older" e-mail from one of the leaders of IOI (Oct 15th 2004) I did not show the location and names due to privacy issues. Since then they have also changed the location of their services, but it is in the same general area. It appears even the people you ohhh soooo admire agreethere is a need for bots.

Typical hater response. Why did you even post at all. Matter of fact, I could almost assume you did not in fact read any part of this thread. If you read back some, all I had done was post an opinion and received nothing but personal attacks. I decided not to leave after someone from my server posted a remark that they in fact knew nothing about. After 10 pages of threads, points made by both sides, you could have come up with alot better than your only 2 posts on a 10 page thread.

actually i have read the whole thing and the reason i didnt post my opinion on the topic is because it has already been stated by a dozen others. And i have seen no personal attacks on you all i have seen is you posting in here and stirring up trouble. once again i ask that you please just leave quietly

If I had to cite a bunch of freeloaders and assortedantisocial types (who are actively working to undermine the game)as my supporters, well that would make me think about my choice of friends, but then again I'm not a griefer or a scumbag, so I find it hard to empathise with the thought processes that draw such folks together. As Patricia Highsmith writes in 'The Talented Mr. Ripley'"No one thinks they're a bad person". I'm sure even muggers can rationalize what they do. I'm sure you'd make a fine mugger.

You see, this person here decided that sterotyping and name calling made their point. Fact is it appears that they forgot something simple; That this is just a game. Perhaps you dont consider it being a personal attack because this person has the same opinion as you. I dont resort to calling people names just because their opinion is different than mine. Perhaps its just the nature of some of the people on this board - if they disagree with do, to anything and say anything to try to make them look bad. You see, instead of try to say something bad about someone that disagrees with you, even if someone else stated your opinion, you could have made your position on the subject and gave a short spill as to why. Instead, you took the path of a person that could be defined as aflamer and a troll. (and no, I am not actually calling you one, its just the perception.)

I admit I never thought your opinion had much credibility, akothas--you do, after all, run a buffbot. However, you lost all credibility whatsoever yesterday when you flamed the Marksman Correspondent for mentioning that a lot of the problems with the SL profession's so-called spamwill be solved when the macro fix comes through. If I recall correctly, you (or maybe it was Baciacca--the two of you agree on an astounding number of things) also told DiLune to shut up andget back to his basic (actually you called itsomething moreinsulting than "basic")profession or go to the Devs and present your problems with fixing the macros.
Coming here and complaining about the macro fix is one thing--dragging it to another forum and insulting a Correspondent is quite another.
btw, it's the Correspondent's job to represent the majority in a profession's community.

well, then i stand corrected in the fact you weren't attacked....but i still think you deserve what you got, especially the part about you being a hypocrite if the post above is true. I will not say i never resort to personal attacks because sometimes people piss me off so much i can't help it, and i admit it. You on the other hand will say that you never attack personally and that you condemn such attacks and then go out and commit that same crime yourself....once again im am assuming that tralmek's post is true

How do recursive macros hurting us? I'm not an afker and i still use recursive macros when i am putting on a big show or something. I was sort of a semi afker in the past, but i still enjoyed the profession and meeting new people. The only reason i played afk is cause it got at bit boring sitting there and playing the same songs over and over. What needs to be done is to add something that makes the profession fun enough that people won't want to afk. Like extensive gig missions like the quest performances.
Is this change really gonna go through? I agree that these AFKers must be abolished from the galaxy but yer gonna need ta do something more than nerfing recursive macros to do it.

No I did not flame the Correspondent. Show me a place where I have called people names and made personal attacks aganist anyone.He had given a basic shallow answer as to what could be done, and I stated something to the fact that we should report everysquad leader so they can get banned and get the boards flaming hot with the issue. Squad leader professions has some VERY serious problems to the point people are getting banned for just playing them.
As far as the "shut up" thing goes, that was not me, and I cannot control what other people type. Truthfully I dont even know what you are talking about, I must have missed that post.
When I decided to argue with someone or point out their mistakes, I am sure to do my research a little bit before I place any blame on anyone or tell them they are wrong. When I challenge someone else beliefs I do it in a style that is blunt and straightfoward, but not flaming with hatred. I challenge you to find one post where I was name calling flaming. (other than teasing/joking)
