I'm with you Jzeus, it's just too bad that the representatives from the Merchant community that were the big posters here tended to be the myoptic self-serving variety. My only consolation is that I can say I TOLD YOU SO to them, yes and I was right, asking for nerfs does NOT and will NEVER equal improvements to other areas of play. /doh
I also put my money where my mouth was and divested myself of all large amounts of goods to sell and all crafting skills, because I knew as long as the merchant vendor whiners held sway, there was always going to be the opening for the Dev team to fixate on nerfage INSTEAD OF WHAT IS IMPORTANT TO IMPROVING THE MERCHANT PROFESSION! Yeah I have 20-30 million credits, now I'll have nothing to spend them on. Whoopie! Well I can hope that when the mass exodus of people leave I can beg for the parts to make RIS for display for the 20 people that will still be online at any given time.
To DocSavag, et al: you might want to rethink your historical position of asking for nerfs instead of focusing solely on improvements (and no I don't think you specifically asked for this but you kept peeking in Pandora's box, what did you expect?).

I agree with some aspects of this change, like removing unused orempty vendors and being able to have and keep vendors if your level of merchantallows, but to limit the amount of items in a vendor is utter insanity. Soundslike the devs have asevere case of cranial rectalitus.

Also, pease remeber your tailors here ppl! We make 200+ clothing items! In colors of maybe 8 each, that's 1600 clothing items if you only stock one item per color! Telling people that this is only going to stop them from cornering the market in ONE profession is terrible tunnel vision that leaves out the rest of us. If you lose all your tailors, some of you other professions are going to be a little hard up for business as well.

I just learned about the merchant nerf. Tomorrow i will start pulling all my vendors and putting my items in storage. It simply isnt going to be worth the hassle to be a merchant. I'm starting to wonder if it's worth the hassle to even play the game.
