Thread: NO way I can run my shop with this NERF!!!! sign if you feel the same!!!
This change will limit the number of diverse items that can be realistically stocked by a vendor, increase the number of vendors out of stock (now really, three customers could easily wipe out 50 units in one evening), and make purchasing items more time-consuming that it already is.
The more the developers interfere with a free market economy and the "invisible hand" the more that aspect of the game will suffer. Everything needed in the game is made by the players themselves---this change will certainly increase scarcity and drive retail prices so high that new players will leave.
NO NO NO NO

People go to you because they know you always have a large stock, so they dont need to look elsewhere, and that is why you sell more than the smaller crafters, if you werent able to sell as many items at a time then shoppers would be forced to take their business elsewhere and the smaller crafters would sell more than they do now.
The devs dont want single crafters to monopolise the economy, they dont want 1 crafter able to supply the whole servers needs removing all competition....
Nancy - that's not a monopoly, that's a free market system.
I will guarantee every 'big' crafter started out as a small crafter somewhere along the line, we paid our dues - we provided service, we provided selection, we provided convience. The real merchant game is in player's skills and time. There has been nothing whatsoever keeping these 'small' merchants from doing the exact same thing all the bigger ones did - apparently they didn't want to.
If they haven't wanted to up till now, what makes anyone think they want to later? It's a LOT of WORK to keep a large shop well stocked and running, a ton of dabblers may have vendors, but they do NOT want to devote that much of their playing experience to crafting and stocking.
If you think for one second these people this is supposedly helping will sit for hours in their shops chained to their merchants, think again. They will burn out very quickly - if they stick around at all and then who is left?
Monopolies cannot exist in a free market system.
I cannot agree with u more
So Nancy, what's your reply on this? U haven't said anything anymore?
EVERYONE can do it, it takes lots of time, devotion and resources and a hell of a lot of advertising and business planning, but if u're really considering goin big U CAN!
