These merchant changes are absofreakinlutely absurd.

Weaponsmith will be one of the hardest hit professions since we have such a variety of different weapons. I've only been a WS for about 4 months now and starting to have a steady stream of clients because of two reasons. 1) I sell High quality weapons that rival the top smiths on the server. 2) I always keep my vendor stocked

Now with the nerf out of the 64 or so weapons that I would normally want to stock. Since i'll be limited to about 7 different weapon types per vendor (i have Master Artisan & Merchant 4001). With my three vendors i'll be forced to stop crafting Artisan items, Stop selling items for my guild members. I will only be able to stock about 21 types of weapons.

If i have less than 10 of each weapon they're usually bought up by 1 or 2 customers hoping to get a good slice.

So basically this nerf, if allowed to go live will squash out an upcomming WS that was in the process of making a name for himself.

Why not fix the storage issues that led to the misuse of vendors instead of fixingeffects of the problem.

If there is a single bloody armorsmith in this game who isn't selling, it's because they are on Talus, and their vendor is unregistered in the basement!!!!!

I have mastered armorsmith 5 times. When I started the first time, it was against JZeus and Balt on Intrepid. How long did it take for me to grab a market share? Instant. Armor is still scarce on Intrepid. Let me hop on down to the padded armor vendor... oh wait. There's STILL noone specializing in that or tantel. Think it doesn't sell? WRONG. I know, because I have sold every suit I ever made ( and at a hell of a profit too). As for other servers, take Kauri for instance. Ask Etock how many suits of MABERI ( YES MABERI) he sold with unregistered vendors, in a backwater mall on Tat. Uhm, his vendor never stayed stocked for more than a couple days. YEP, MABERI. I have an armorsmith there now as well, and no, I don't have any armor in stock. NONE.

This is where business strategy comes in. You DO realize maberi can be made in other than default pink/purple? Black/red is the most popular request I get, followed by imperial purple/black, and it does truly look good How many pieces you see for sale with the color in the title ( check the bazaar, if it is, odds are my name is on it)?? I will always outsell the lazy, or uninformed. Maberi can even be ( GASP) experimented! 20% or better kinetic maberi sells FASTER than COMPOSITE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How long did it take for me to break into the weaponsmithing biz? Nanoseconds. Gotta love the bazaar in Mos Eisley...... I know alot of newbies carrying around *Newmoon's Ray Of Death* scout blasters.....

If this nerf goes in to affect it will completely destroy my business. I love SWG for having a "Business" aspect and a free trade-enterprise... it is very unique and important to this game. I do not think it is broken in any way shape or form to the tune of this nerf that is in the works....

This nerf will ruin my business and I will be forced to close my shop and go kill nunas for fun. I will sadly leave the game....

SWG is currently capatilistic, the Devs stay out of your business and let you trade and give you opportunity of free-enterprise... This nerf is on the border of Socialist/Communist activity, with the Dev limiting you to what you can sell and how much...

SWG will go the way of the hammer and sickle (Russia)... it will fail, the economy will be ruined and all the crafters will suffer...

Pray this doesnt happen....

The point is you're not supposed to be able to stock your vendors with thousand runs of items and completely corner the market making newer/smaller crafters completely unable to compete

I understand that, but I sell more suits of armor a day then some smaller crafters do in a month, why should my stock be limited to match theres?

When you go buy a car you go tom some small dealers with say 20-30 cars, but you also like to go to those mega stores that have the 3-4 level showrooms with thousands of cars, you can find the car and the color you want in 1 stop.

These dealers sell more cars in 1 day then the other small dealer can even stock. its the way of life, i did my time as a small timer, i payed my dues of gathering resources for almost a year now to have the best of the best and have hords of resources that i can produce like this.

Will you tell me i cant have 20 factories next?

People go to you because they know you always have a large stock, so they dont need to look elsewhere, and that is why you sell more than the smaller crafters, if you werent able to sell as many items at a time then shoppers would be forced to take their business elsewhere and the smaller crafters would sell more than they do now.

The devs dont want single crafters to monopolise the economy, they dont want 1 crafter able to supply the whole servers needs removing all competition....

Personally I dont agree these changes are going to help anyone but saying that this sucks because you wont be able to stock thousand runs of items is unlikely to convince them that they've made the wrong decision

First off, Jzeus has not cornered the market. Their are alot of really good AS out there who do just as well (Orange, Faz, Rocky..to name a few). So he is not monopolizing the Armor market. Please get your facts straight before you come on this board and say stuff like this.

I feel for ya Jzeus. I'm a master chef and a master merchant. I totally disagree with this merchant fix. There are more important bugs in this game that need to be fixed. But instead, they focus on this..pathetic.

Tailors, Architects, Chefs will get hit incredibly hard. I run a furniture vendor and like to do things in factory runs. Between all the paintings, lights, candles... I have 600 items of furniture on 1 vendor, and I only have it about half stocked right now.

Tailors and chefs have tons and tons of schematics too. It will make it next to impossible to run good businesses with these professions with these few of items.

I have to agree with the no nerf people. While I like crafting I also like running around with my limited combat skills enjoying the scenery and helping out my guildies. With this change I'd become like 90% of the other people out there with vendors. A waste of players time because I have no stock listed or such a poor selection available that I'll become a part of the problem rather than a solution to the problem. While I have no real issue with a vendor limit it needs to be something reasonable. For me that means 750-1000 items. Lower than that I'm going to be forced to list less selection and jack up my prices so that I don't have to spend every waking moment in front of my vendor restocking it. Guess this just goes to show that working hard and building a client base will only serve to get you punished.
