Thread: TERMINAL vendor workaround
I'm curious to know if any of you have been able to get the bulky vendors (the ones you get at Business III) to work at all in a Naboo player cantina. Using the following method:
1) Place and rotate vendor
2) Click 'Initialize Vendor'
3) Click 'Initialize Vendor' again, since it should still be there
4) Click 'Use Vendor'
I didn't hold the mouse down at any point while doing this. I simply clicked. However, I cannot get this vendor to initialize anywhere in my cantina except for the main floor and the stage. Dropping it in the alcoves, behind the bar, or in front of the bar, do not work at all.
How long will this problem persist? Will it go away at Novice Merchant with the humanoid vendors?
Question: Do I get the 150 MXP/hour for the bugged vendor?

This workaround worked for me once, and only once.

I think someone here said you did but I have no idea. The best way to know would be to put it up for a bit and see if you are getting xp for it.
You shouldn't be getting xp for an unitiailzed vendor but I think the point here is that the vendor THINKS it is initialized when it isn't.. *shrug*
Maybe someone has already mentioned this method, I apologize if they have. I admit I am too lazy to read the whole thread ![]()
I was able to get my vendor to work by logging out after the vendor appeared in my inventory. Logged back in and proceeded to place/initialize my vendor the way it was intended with no problems, without using any of the suggestions mentioned here. I tried all the suggestions on the 1st and 2nd pages and none of them worked for me.
I decided to try and log out before I placed the vendor (after it was created and placed in my inventory), and when I logged back in it worked fine.
Hope this helps at least 1 other person.

Interesting. I'll try that today and see if that works as well..Certainly easier if it does.
YEs, I tried placing then coming back the next day to try to initialize after server reset - didn't work.
I've been paying maintenance before initializing, I'll try it now, initializing withOUT paying maint in advance of initializing. Maybe that's the trick.
Terao's method worked for me on the first shot. This was after 15 attempts ofusing other methods outlined in this thread. I created the vendor, sat down, used the /logout command. I immediately logged back in, placed the vendor, and initialized it. Checked the vendor command radial menu and initialize was still there. I initialized again and this time it did not reappear. Hit the Use Vendor option and the thing actually worked. Wow!!

BIND MERCHANT AND ARTISAN GG
Novice= 1 vendor
business1-4=1 vendor per each skill
master=
How about we just remove the vendor from Artisan completely?
If you want to lobby for getting rid of the merchant profession why don't you do it from the Artisan forum.

This is how I got it to work.
Place the vendor, rotate it if you want.
Open radial, click initialize and AS FAST AS YOU CAN open the radial again and hit Use Vendor.
With mouse press and tapping 1 you should get it fast enough if your not good with "point'n'click" type of games.
This worked for me - thanks
