Vendor item limits will now be based on player skill. (Players over either limit will not be able to add new items for sale on vendors).

So lets say you have 5 full houses (10 lots).

You are amaster merchant.

Youhave max vendors with over 200 items on each (I would say that is realistic).

What happens when your items start getting moved over to the stock room and you have no place to put them?

All you people that are saying we should have the dropping skills bug fixed are screwed up...just think of it like this,

Master Doctors like to fight sometimes, hey decide to master a fighting skill and then they only have 18 sp left, are you claiming thatthey should have to forget about a master fighting prof just because they HAVE to have business 3 to have one meesly vendor, also when people equip their vendors with gung and clothing does that mean they HAVE to have the right skill to keep their vendor equipped, you've got to understand that there is more to this game than crafting and selling, we want to have some fun so please dont fix this bug its what makes the game fun!!!!!!!!!

Another factor is when people are an uber fighting prof like TK 4-0-0-0, master pistoleer and BH pistols, are you saying they have to drop one of their profs just so they can sell a few loot items, all you people who are whining have NO idea how hard it is to get fighting prof XP, so just shut up!

thank you very much, but i have mastered tka and am currently on my way to master pistoleer...maybe not as much fighting as some people... but to be honest...fighting xp...is not hard...get a buff...go out and kill things...oh i guess for some people maybe its hard to equip the correct weapon..dunno never had a problem doing that myself...

you have no idea if we have never fought before so lay off that point ok? ok...

onto the Next point! when i dropped tka, i lost meditation skills...if you drop merchant, you loose your vendor skills...simple as that...

of course none of us like this patch that is comming out, but honestly dude...think about what you say a little first...

As a Master Merchant, MDE, and an alt that is a Master Smuggler with 3 loaded vendors of Droids, Smuggler supplies & spice, and a Sliced weapons and armor vendor I'm absolutely hosed.

Time to cancel 3 accounts and wait for WoW.

wow...just...wow.

I only recently started producing a stock of weapons...been collecting resources for the past two months. My vendor holding my resources alone has well over 100 different things on it, and I STILL dont have all the metals I need to be able to craft anything a player should ask for. My melee vendor has almost 800 items, and I still have 2 runs to place on it. I have 1325 items CURRENTLY and I am a *new* WS, Armorsmiths..*shudder* at least my "completed set" is one item...theirs is what? 9 with composite, 7 with ubese? I sincerely hope SOE realizes what their decision will do to the game for a change, and either give sthe numbers a severe bump up, or simply chooses to leave the "database" cleanin to poofin empty vendors, and vendors belonging to those who dont have the skills for em.

Great job on the empty vendor change, and the eventual removal of vendors if you drop the skills to place them.

If the limit goes through, I quit. As a weaponsmith, I literally have thousands of items on my legally kept vendors. I have known about the bug that allows you to place vendors then drop that skill and retain your vendor, but have not used that to gain other skills. The item limit is a horrible idea, please don't let it go through.

I just really hope that the total numbers are raised (per vendor as well as totals) ... I am not a veryhigh volume tailor and I am a very low volume armorsmith, however I do rely largely on vendors for sales. I do carry merchant and do plan to drop another vendor or 2 in the near future.. however I do not like feeling forced to do so.

I have spent the past month and a half working on getting my alt's tailor shop running. She has close to 700 clothing items on her vendors and still isn't finished. My vision for her shopis to have a fully stocked shop offering a little of everything in multiple colors. She's even picked up engineering to make powerups and crafting tools. These itemcaps are impossible for a tailor that wants to offer a little of everything. Tailors have over 200 clothing schematics, and the largest color palette has 254 colors.

Also, what about the people that wanthave 2master crafting professions and merchant? How can they possibly expect to stock their vendors!?

I think this is a HORRIBLE idea. at least all the othercrafters CAN sell crates, tailor cannot. Who wants to buy 25 black gunman's dusters?

I usually stock all the good clothes, in a minimum of 3 colors i like, usually 5 or more, if i have time. given the fact that Master Tailors have upwards of 200-300 different schematics, plus gobs of colors, i would have to close down one of my shops, take down my entertainer vendor which also sells instruments, and focus all my skill points to merchant. I actually am enjoying being able to kill stuff, and I have 3004 merchant.

Just say NO.

i understand why they are doing this but honestly, do they think its going to do any good?? well i guess so cause they did it...but geez!!

oh right...i forgot...we are crafters/merchants...if our proffesions die, the game will go on... sure there will be no more clothes, armor, weapons...who cares though right? damn game...devs really messed up this time...havnt seen a single good reaction to this...

I really don't understand the thinking behind this, if crafters can't sell what they craft, why are they going to bother?

Makes no sense to me at all.

This is completely unacceptable. Not the removing of empty vendors from the map or even the deletion of vendors after 2 weeks. Not even the limits on the amount of items you can put up on vendors, since I always thought it would enhance the Merchant tree. But how does SOE think that anyone who cannot play the game fulltime is going to keep 6 vendors stocked where you can only keep a total items of 660 items?

I sell alot of furniture and it would require me to play this game daily to keep my furniture stocked. Not to mention the fact that there are well over 100 different furniture items available. And then I still have my houses, city structures, gardens, harvesters, factories, Bestine paintings, quest paintings, etcetera. I can only manage this if I stock 2 or 3 of each item....

This is absurd. I hesitate to say I would go as far as cancelling my 2 accounts, but there is a fine line somewhere and SOE is about to cross it.
