Yeah I kinda figured it was borked when I waved my saber about for half an hour infront of 300 people attending a live event and nothing happened. I'm just wondering what sort of system messages I'll get, and if it's possible to slip back off the terminals.

The visibilit is completely a joke. Well not actually, I believe something was changed. I was never on the terminals as I hunted alone and distant from anyone or any humanoid NPC. Well what happens after P10 launches, yep you guessed it I am on the terminals and many many sets of Gang sqads have visited my home area.

As a Jedi, you will NOT get any messages telling you that you are being hunted or otherwise. All you can hope for is that you are not griefed during the battle. As far as I can tell the visibility has been changed to basic forcve power use instead of who sees you using the force powers. If it is indeed based on how much you use the force period, then expect to always be on the terminals.

BTW, I have had my Jedi since last November and up to P10 I was NEVER on the terminals.

P10 gets better and better by the day. But I will not complain as I simply will stop playing my Jedi as much as I have been. The way I figured it, I can play for half of a buff session before the gank squad visits me.

I think visibility meters have been set to actual force power use, not just who notices you doing anything with it.

So you could be by yourself and still end up on the terminals.

On a side note: I know this may not be my place to say this, but it seems SOE is trying to sabatage themselves. Strange but after reviewing these boards I can come to no other conclusion.

I hope that I am wrong. I read about people who whine, the only problem I see in whining is that all of the concerns for the most part seem to be valid concerns , not just people crying for no reason.

Just my 2 cents worth.

I know there are a few big issues but visibity concerns me as I don't see any NEW Jedi getting far as it is now.

Don't get me wrong, I know they want to controll or limit the amount of Jedi but I think this will cause more of the NEW Jedi to leave SWG instead of staying and playing the game.

Just because BH will have there eyes on NEW Jedi and not on me per say doesn't mean it's fair. It's frustrating for me, I can only imagine how it will be for a NEW Jedi that assumed the Revamp was the way to go.

i can confirm the original posters statement. I hadnt been logged in for just under a full 24hrs, while in town getting buffed up, i wore regular clothes, no saber in hand, no jedi tag overhead. took a shuttle and random hunted for 2 hours. i always spam polearmhit1 because the grind WITH it is hell, I cant even begin to imagine just standing there grinding all night with no specials. so anyway after a long 30k grind, along comes a bh saying he got my mission. he gets hit with the "cant attack" bug and im off the hook... for a whole 5 minutes, when a different bh comes zipping along. i jump on my speeder and bh instantly blows it up. curtains for me, and a full nights work down the drain. 2 nights in a row as a matter of fact.

so, to reiterate... 2 long nights of hard boring grinding. 6+ hours total ... less xp now than when i started 2 days ago .... extremely low kept profile. I seriously have to wonder if the devs even play the game they made. If a couple of them had all this sh!t happen to them enough, i think things would drastically change.

where is the incentive to keep playng (and paying) if this is what its all about??? I kid you not, after the last 2 nights BS, I'm literally fighting back the instinct to cancel immediately.

Ican vouch for Andros as an honorable BH on Eclipse.

To the previous poster, you said you were hunted by a BH the night before....fighting a BH increses visibility as you use a lot of force in front of someone. If you get into a fight with one BH, expect more to be coming. If you are low level, I would suggest playing your main for at least 3 server resets after one encounter with a BH.

thnx for the tip. i became jedi after pub 10, so my jedi actually is my main. btw. do u mean NOT to play my jedi char for 3 resets? i.e. 3 days straight? another thing is i didnt actually fight the first bh. after 3 solid mind numbing hours of grinding with no one ever crossing my path on radar, i was barely paying attn to the screen anymore except to spam pahit1 and make sure my hams were secure, when i suddenly saw myself incapped. the bh was sitting comfortable at a distance pickin me off while i was just fighting off 5 voritors surrounding me. not sure if swg would see that as fighting a bh. scratch that ... im SURE swg see's it as me fighting a bh, but i sure as hell dont. =/

the only conclusion i can come to after yesterdays mess, is that, even 1-2 uses of novice force heal, well away from civilization, will send bh's after u like a colony of ants. thats just wrong. if you think about it, why would anyone puta bounty (wanting someone dead)on a jedi for killiing wild animals well away from civilization, and as a capper, simply for healing yourself once or twice?

Yes, they need to change a couple things about visibility... first, jedi shouldn't generate any visibility for each other. Second, non-opposed groupmates should generate zero visibility, and opposite-faction groupmates should generate visibility at the 1/4 rate.

It's really sad that in an MMORPG SOE encourages solo playing.
