was totally unaware of the visibility between jedi

so the game that necessitates in order to kill some of the major mobs you must be in group means that in order to progress jedi you must leave all your friends behind and grind on your own.

o well will just have to reconsider playin at all

thx

Sadly, it's always been this way, the only time I've ever gotten on the terms was when hunting with same faction Jedi.

That is a question that probably many do not know the answer of yet.

But I think, that lets say you are hunting in a solo group, will generate no visibility.

Yet, if someone - NPC, Player, etc.. - lets say...passes by you while at a lair, it will double the amount of visibility for each person in the group.

So you get 4/4(full) visibility each time.

This is what I have come up with, but it isjust a theory

EDIT: Fixed a Typo

JenobiReborn:

Then that would explain why I am back on the BH terminals. I didn't know that visibility was reset this morning, I went on my daily schelude of killing imps npc's. That put me right on the BH menu (terminals), nonetheless, I was DB by a gank squad. From that point foward I join a solo group and went out to Dath, rancor valley, I was mindful of NPC's and players alike, I made sure my LS was not equiped around them. However, I get a tell three two hours later I am back on the BH menu. There are many variables known and unknown, but possible, i was on my bike and drove by NS's with my LS equiped (shrug who knows). That would add to your theory.

What seems odd though, on the Ahazi server only two ppl are on the terminals me and another player. If i am the only Jedi on the server in a solo group then I need to regroup. However, any investigation would clear up some questions regarding visibility.

just a quick warning friends

after your visibility got reset today and the process of visibility was 'explained' i.e. no saber in hand dont be seen by other faction etc

i went out with another noob jedi today just us grouped and both rebel, no where near any npcs

and hid our sabers changed clothes all the time etc while goping from mission to mission and after 3 hours

along came guess who yes a bh to cap my ass and another to cap his.

and suddenly i know lose 156000xp instead of the 30000xp i was losing

did i miss a post or a patch note that says from now on your xp loss will be triple eveytime?

the whole reason i did the jedi grind was that i could hunt with my jedi friends but you get visibliity off other jedi?

i thought also that 'visibliity; was described somewhere as the general populous' response to jedi in that they were shocked amazed repulsed whatever to see a jedi so how can another jedi cause this

would really appreciate any comments help as soe and all their csrs dont give a f@!k and wont respond as much as i have tried

love

Oh, and Publish 10.3 did change the amount of xp lost per BH death. It's now like 2000 points for each skillpoint you have invested upon successful deathblow. It was in the patch notes, and posted here.

In regards of the announcement about jedi (oct 2nd), there is 3 thing that gives visibility.

All of them require you to be within 32m of a player or NPC to get that visibility :

-Equiping a LS

-Engaging combat with a LS

-Using force powers

I still have a question about #1, do I get visibility for wielding a LS in public (within 32m) or it is just when actually equiping it in public?

Thank you devs for answering this little interrogation many of us still have

I think it is safe to assume that having a saber in your hand while being near a PC or an NPC will gain you visibility. Even if I'm wrong, it is still SAFE to assume this.

**EDIT**

And no, I wasn't the one who 1 starred you.

Eh, some people are idiots like that.

I'm about 99% sure that just having the saber in your hand generates visibility. Remember the saber equip/unequip bug? At least one person who was hit with this and inadvertantly ran through a city like that ended up immediately on the terminals. (He thought he had regular clothes and another weapon equipped, and didn't use force powers, etc., OR fight anything, but the server thought he had his saber and robes equipped, so he got a ton of visibility for running past people.)

I feel you man. I got 1 stared for posting a similar topic. All I want is visibility to be explained more and not bugged. Most of all I want Jedi to be less hunted.
