Yes as 2 of my accounts are solely built around having my shop which is well known on the Radiant server. I own Eclectic Edge and I am known for having stocked vendors. I put so much time now into having a well maintain shop. This will end what I have worked over a year to build up. So the answer is there won't be a need for me to play this anymore.

Quitting isn't enough.
If you really want to make your point, QUIT and don't subscribe to another SOE game. Jumping to EQ isn't going to make a point, it's still putting money into SOE's pockets.
Personally, most everyone I know is ready to quit, over this, and a dozen other things. And most of those people have 2, 3, and 4 accounts each.
But I hope to God we don't move to another SOE game.

The vendor nerf will make me consider how long I continue to play SWG.
With me, I am not the kind of person that always wants to go out hunting. I really enjoy crafting and selling my items.
If they nerf my ability to properly stock my vendors, what will I have left to do? I dont want to play a game thats just about combat.
I have 5 accounts currently - my roommate has 4 accounts.
If I cant craft and make money - I cannot see me staying in the game. If all I want to do is kill stuff, I can do that on my xBox without paying a montly fee.
If I want to chat, I will just go find a free yahoo chat room.
Your call SOE - is my business worth keeping?

Yes, will most likey quit if the item cap is implemented.
Merchant changes was needed like the removal of empty vendors and the like, but having a cap on the items stored is a bad idea.

Nope.
I usually leave MMORPG because of lack of changes, not when changes are done.

I simply cannot imagine what this would do to my business for my alt. Being a BE, my non-ch pet vendor always has over 100 pets in stock, my CH vendor has even more. My tissue vendor has hundreds of items that sell over a few days. My petstims fly off the shelf. The tailor tissues sell real well. The only vendor that wouldn't be over the number cap is my special order vendor. Even if I were to discontinue my pet and petstim lines and focus purely on tissues, 4 of my 6 vendors would be there purely for chef tissues. I mean, 40 crates is 1 full run and very few customers want to buy all 40 in one sitting. I have factories outputting 4 types of tissues on a daily basis. I have a hard enough time keeping up with demand as it is. Imagining what it would be like with 10% of the vendor's capabilities wouuld turn my crafting toon into a fulltime job. Jedi was bad enough, this is too much.
If this nerf goes through, I'll let my vendors empty, transfer all the credits to my main toon, and quit my crafter. Once JTL hits, i'll check it out. If it is anywhere close as buggy as ground combat is, I'm cancelling for good. Too much work for something that is supposed to be fun.
The recursive macro thing is a bit much as well. My secondary toon on Ahazi is a dancer(4-2-0-3)/armorsmith(4-0-0-3). Just to think I'd have to be there spamming flourishes every damned minute of my day isn't too pleasing to the mind. I'm talking about the social aspect of dancer, not AFK dancing mind you. So, that toon is as good as dead. Thanks SOE, I enjoyed that toon until both nerfs hit me at once. It will be deleted next time I'm on that screen. I just have to give my credits to what friends I have there, undeed my house, and give it all away.
strike 1: house storage nerf/holocron handout at christmas
ball 1: powerboost-meditate fix
strike 2: combat balance pushed back
ball 2: fixed rifleman
ball 3: fixed CM (partially)
strike 3: recursive macro/merchant nerf
YOU'RE OUT!!!

I currently have 3 accounts
Master Pistoleer / BH - cancelled because I am European, and with the end of loop macros and (most likely) buff bots, I will simply not have the opportunity to PVP anymore, even to the extent my two broken professions allow.
Master Bio-engineer / Smuggler
I liked those profs, but even as a fairly new BE, I already have so many resources, I will never be able to do without my storage vendor.
Master Architect / Master Artisan / Master TKA / novice scout
Another set of profs I loved. But either I give up my fighting abilities, and stop hunting my own leather, and die every time a vrelt lair spawns next to my harvesters, or I won't be able to sell anything. And frankly, any limit on vendor space is unacceptable. My furniture and tools vendors alone are WAY fuller than even the total max would allow. Am I one of those monopolists the devs hate so much? I don't think so. I have yet to manage making even a SMALL factory run of harvesters. I just like to be well-stocked. Armor and weapon repair kits sell tremendously fast, same for powerups, same for furniture.
I am not really done playing this game, but this vendor nerf will make continuing too much like an act of masochism. I will empty my vendors and distribute everything to all comers. Maybe make one last big splash by finally making that factory run of uber harvesters, and distributing them for free too.
Ah yes, and then there are thenice comments from mister Blackburn or whatever his name may be about how we who dare voice our concerns in the forums are just whining crybabies who do not actually play the game, and that 99% of players are happily playing the game. I am fed up enough with SOE and its blatant contempt for its customers that I will NEVER EVER buy another thing they made. And I will make EXTREMELY sure that every gaming magazine in existence will know why.

First off, I'd like to say that I am not a merchant and have never done a crafting profession for profit. However, I think that this nerf that is in the works is possibly the single worst thing to ever hit SWG.Crafter/merchants are some of the most loyal SWG customers you will ever see. Honestly, how many pure combat proffession players do you know that have 3-5 or even more accounts? These people are dedicated to their jobs and the people that they serve on their respected servers. If this new patch has this nerf included it will not only effect crafters, but everyone as a whole. Prices will rise due to the extra work involved in keeping vendors stocked (I don't blame players for this when it happens, you should be paid for the effort you put into something) and it just will have a domino effect all the way down to noobs. Imagine being a noob when a set of decent armor costs 750k-1mill creds, they can't solo anything for a long time and the crafting profs are nerfed so who would even want to get started in that? This would cause me to be frustrated, it lowers player morale, and eventually leads to what large corporations like SOE actually care about, cancellation of that monthly check.
Napoleon Bonaparte once said, "There is a sleeping giant. Let him sleep! If he wakes, he will shake the world." The merchants of SWG have long been the sleeping giant, quitely paying their $60, $75, $90+/month while almost single handedly giving structure to the in-game economy. I do believe that with the uproar that this change would cause that it will die if you just keep fighting it. Then again, maybe I'm overestimating SOE's intelligence and ability to make wise business decisions.

All I have to say is, glad my husband and I have kept our DAoC accounts active. Paying all those monthly fees (2 games/2 accounts) was getting to be a bit much anyhow.
